Like a tightly closed rosebud, this story takes some peeling back the layers to understand the dynamics of Grant's and Aubrey's relationship. But once the petals are unfurled, the full beauty of this story is revealed. When the truth is revealed several chapters in, the reader has a sympathetic understanding as to the reason for their breakup. The angst, the drama and the revelations that follow are tissuebox worthy. Loved the epilogue.

Then Came You is a second chance romance that gives the broken hope for the future. ~ Heather, White Hot Reads
As a woman who's often felt broken and dealt with some of the same challenges that Aubrey and Grant have, I felt for these characters . HARD. The book had barely started when I realized I wasn't going to be able to put it down without finishing it in one sitting. Grant Roosevelt Lincoln is the PERFECT book boyfriend.
Strong. Southern. Quiet. Loving.
He doesn't give up on anything that he loves, wants or desires.
Aubrey Gage is the exact opposite.
Hard. Opinionated. Boston Blue Blood.
She can't forget about what brought them to this place - however, she isn't going to talk about it. TO ANYONE. Grant, knows that they need to talk to move on.
Then Came You is a splendid story for the first blooms of spring where love and romance dance in the air.

YAY! We finally get Aubrey and Grant’s story, the divorced couple (who both happen to be divorce attorneys!) in the “friend” group. We have gotten a little snippet of them in book one and two of the Laws of Attraction series by Author Kate Meader, and now we get to find out what exactly happened.
When Aubrey shows up with a broken arm, but needs to travel to her dysfunctional/unloving family’s home for her Grandma’s 90th birthday, Grant offers to drive her. After packing Cat Damon and their bags into the car, they head out. After a few mishaps, a couple situations, a debilitating storm…they finally make it to her family’s home, only to have to endure her family.
This 2 person POV second-chance love story has some of everything! There is friendship, heartbreaking moments, humor, a talking cat, a blunt Grandmother, love, ess-eee-exx, flashbacks, a dysfunctional family…everything to make this book the amazing read that it is. I absolutely loved it and would totally recommend it! 4.5 stars!

I'm a big fan of Kate Meader's books, and I was excited to read the next book in the Laws of Attraction series. Then Came You is the story of Aubrey and Grant. Through the prior two books in the series, there were implications of a mysterious story of why Aubrey and Grant divorced, even if their friends didn't know the reason. So I was intrigued to read about their story. The reason ultimately was a heartbreaking one, and Then Came You explores that reason more and then what happens when Aubrey and Grant are reunited during a car trip home for the holidays. This book was definitely the more serious of the three, not as light hearted and fun. But these are real issues that real couples deal with, so I enjoyed that perspective. In my opinion, another great book from Kate Meader!.

This was a fun and enjoyable novel. Grant and Aubrey, both divorce attorneys are no longer married to one another but they continue to spar in court. The friction between the two of them is palpable. I kept wondering what caused their split. I liked how the author slowly doled out clues but kept it spicy. A secret tragedy tore them a part but their desire for one another remained. When Grant offers to accompany Aubrey to her family home over the holidays so her beloved grandmother won’t learn of their split, they can no longer run away from each other and when in close proximity sparks fly.

Then Came You is a bittersweet and sometimes hot second chance story that will have readers hoping this divorced couple can find reconciliation...if not as lovers at least as friends. The story is mostly dialogue driven, a big plus for this reader, with complex characters that are quite believable. The couple in question, both lawyers, have never revealed to family or friends why they divorced, and as the story unfolds it becomes clear that they never revealed enough during their break up to each other either. It’s hard to write this review and give no spoilers so I will just say that this is a book with good lessons on multiple fronts... and one that is worth reading again. I voluntarily reviewed an advance copy of this book. Most highly recommend.

I’ve read a lot of Kate Meader books, but this one was different. Aubrey and Grant have made appearances in the other Laws of Attraction novels (Down with Love and Illegally Yours) and I couldn’t wait to find out more about these two lawyers who were married, but then got divorced and had so much history together.
Kate Meader’s books usually involve complex characters and sometimes complex situations. But I felt that this book was different. It had the usual steamy scenes and witty banter, but also exposed both Grant and Aubrey’s vulnerabilities and insecurities. This wasn’t only a second chance romance, but also a book about forgiveness and self-forgiveness.
The one thing that I wasn’t a fan of was the flashback scenes. I loved the scenes from the past, but at times I couldn’t tell if what was happening in the book was in the past or happening in the present. Perhaps a better way of discerning past and present might have made it easier. Didn’t stop me from loving the book though! Thank you Kate Meader for writing another book that I devoured too quickly. **ARC provided by NetGalley and the publisher. All opinions are my own**

What a fantastic end to a great book series! We met Grant and Aubrey in the first two books as a former golden couple who are now divorced and can barely stand to be in the same room together. None of their friends understand what broke them up. This book is a wonderful figurative and literal journey that allows Aubrey and Grant to confront the problem that broke them up and eventually heal. Grant is a gentle giant who never stopped loving his wife. Aubrey is a complex character whose dysfunctional upper crust family has impacted how she deals with life. I loved both characters, warts and all. This was my first series by this author, and won’t be my last. I received an ARC of this book from NetGalley for my honest review.

I have read this whole series and have been anxiously awaiting Grant and Aubrey's story. It did not disappoint. After catching glimpses of their relationship as ex-spouses in the previous stories, readers knew there was still love there and we needed to see things resolved.
Throughout the story, we see the present day relationship with flashbacks to their meeting, dating relationship, marriage, and divorce. The point of view alternates between Grant and Aubrey so that readers get an understanding of the establishment and breakdown of their relationship and their ideas for rebuilding it. In addition, we get insight into their individual backgrounds by being introduced to both of their extended families in the story. All of this works to create well-developed characters and a realistic chain of events.
The epilogue of this book was fantastic as it not showed the resolution for Grant and Aubrey, but with all of the couples from the series. As sad as I am to see the series conclude, it was nice to have the closure on all of the couples' stories.
This book was sad, funny, sweet, and sexy. There were glimpses of the characters in the first two books, but this also reads as a stand alone. I highly recommend this book (AND this series AND this author).

When I first read the blurb for Then Came You, I knew I had to get my hands on this one. I have never read anything by Kate before. I am always so worried about new authors, simply because I am not sure if I am going to like their writing styles, the dialogue, and so on. I must say Kate Meader surprised me. I absolutely adored her writing style. I was not expecting such an emotional book out of this one, but so many different emotions hit me square in the face. This author did an amazing job with the dialogue and plot. I was so consumed in Aubrey and Grant's story. Their story brought me to my knees. Meader sure knows how to make you feel all the feels. It was detailed enough to not have questions, realistic enough to make you wonder if this author has experienced such things in her life. Then Came You is why I intend to read from this author. I am a forever fan now.
Aubrey is the hottest divorce lawyer in Chicago. Originally from Boston, with a mouth that practically spews fire every time it opens, she is not the one to be messed with. A spine made of steel and a soft spot for Cat Damon, there is not much that can bring her to her knees. She is the woman who can't get over her past, but will die trying to.
Grant is also one of the hottest divorce attorney's in Chicago. He may not look the part because he is practically a freedom barrel chest fighter in the looks department. But don't let the physical attributes give you an opinion, because he has the huge heart and has more patience than a saint. He's always been more reserved with a soft spot for his momma.
When Aubrey needs a favor from her ex husband Grant, he is more than willing to help out. When circumstances require Aubrey and Grant to travel by car, thousands of miles are ahead of them. Both wanting to move on from the past, they are faced with past heartbreak and hopefully some revelations? Can this once upon a time " Soap Opera Couple " let go of the past to start anew?
* I RECOMMEND THIS BOOK

I thoroughly enjoyed this second chance at romance! The characters were well developed and very relatable.
I am a fan of romance that has a realistic spin. Marriage is hard work. Not every day is a fairytale. Love and happily ever after take commitment and effort. This book celebrates that reality. At times heartbreaking, this book was beyond my expectations.
I will share details to goodreads and post links to my reviews as pub date approaches. For now posting star rating to Goodreads.

Another winner! I found the book to be a nice easy read. The characters were well developed and had some bite to them. I look forward to more books in the series as well as by this author.

This is the 3rd release in Laws of Attraction series by Kate Meader. It’s Grant and Aubrey story. We finally find out why they divorced two years ago. We’ve been getting little info on them in the first two releases.
I found this one hard to read. The reason for the divorce was so personal and sad I felt so bad for both of them. The Whole book felt like a therapy session to me and every step forward was followed by two steps back. It was sad and frustrating to see two people in love but couldn’t get past their heartbreak. The epilogue was great but the road itself is long and hard to get there. I’m glad they found their HEA but reading this one was tough for me.

I didn't think my heart was going to take it. Talk about painful and gut wrenching! I've been so curious about this couple since book 1. There was so much love between this divorced couple that I couldn't imagine what was the catalyst to their breakup.
We finally get Grant and Aubrey's story and it was so hard to read. Their love was so huge that I hated that something came between them, and then to read what that was... I just wanted them to find their way back.
The author really takes you on an emotion journey with these two. I never wanted to get to the end so badly as I did in this book and what a sweet ending it was. Well worth the turmoil to get too. It was really great to see all the couples in the epilogue. Great series!

Aubrey and Grant’s marriage fell apart almost two years ago after the heartbreak of a miscarriage they couldn’t grieve through together.
Still in love with his wife Grant offers to drive her home for thanksgiving and pretend they’re still together for the benefit of her grandma.
The road trip from Chicago to Boston opens everything up: they desire still between, the pain, the hurt, the love. Aubrey knows she can have a second chance but she needs to do the one thing she’s been taught not to—open herself up to someone else.
This one had my eyes leaking. Beautifully written second chance story. Fantastic ending to the trilogy.

Having read the first two book in this series, I was anxiously awaiting Aubrey and Grant's story. While this story can definitely be read as a stand alone novel, I recommend reading the series in order just to get a feel for Aubrey and Grant who are part of a tight group of friends that attended law school together. Despite being a tight group of friends, no one knew the story of why Aubrey and Grant, the golden couple, had divorced. This was definitely an emotional read as we found out just what led to the breakup and the lengths that Grant was willing to go to reclaim their love. The epilogue at the end was a terrific way to wrap up the series, almost like a bonus as we see all of the couples a few years down the road!

Then Came You
by Kate Meader
Grab a box of tissues, you’ll need it for this book. It’s a beautiful story of forgiveness and redemption. Aubrey and Grant both have their work cut out for them if they think they can heal enough to either get back together or to be able to move on to new relationships. As both are lawyers, they need to figure out how to each plead their cases to the other.
I was impressed with the dialogue between the main characters but also the love they were holding on to yet for each other. They both maintained fidelity during their divorced time period.
Kate Meader did a wonderful job of detailing each characters personalities. I would recommend this book to everyone, there’s a lot of good advice for handling this subject matter, but also a true love story.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

None of their closest friends even know, much less understand why Grant and Aubrey divorced, but it’s clear two years later that these two still have feelings for one another.
I can easily say I loved Grant. Raised by a single mom, his Southern charm and gentlemanly behavior fit right in with his White Knight syndrome! And he was an emotional guy, all but wearing his feeling for everyone to see. He was cute, sweet, but finally reached his emotional limits with Aubrey. I can’t say I blame the guy either. They say it takes two to tango, but with an unwilling partner, obviously you won’t get very far...
Now Aubrey. So her family definitely didn’t incite the warm fuzzies, except for her Grandmother who was a spunky little thing! It was Aubrey’s cold shoulder and unwillingness to meet Grant even halfway to deal with their loss that drove me nuts. It was an effective role reversal, because I was in Grant’s court the entire way, literally wishing Aubrey would crack the shell around her heart. Not just to let Grant, but to also see she wasn’t the only one struggling to deal.
Grant and Aubrey’s second-chance romance took me while to get in sync with, but once everything clicked, it was a heart-tugging ride. And no worries, the story isn’t all tears and sorrow. Along with some creative make-out moments, Aubrey’s cat, Cat Damon, had some highly amusing therapy sessions, leading to the eye-opening road trip these two broken souls take.

This was by far my favorite book in this series. One of the main reasons why is how much I completely adore Grant. He such a decent, caring hero while still managing to bring the heat. I loved the connection between Grant and Aubrey and the tangible longing they still feel towards each other even after their divorce. Their emotional revisiting of what went wrong in their marriage was so sad but watching them really open up to each other and bare their heartache really created an impactful portrait of two people working to heal themselves and their relationship. Meader adds just enough humor with a feisty grandmother and cranky cat, keeping everything from being too heavy. I am a bit tired of inexplicably bad parents being used to make a character more sympathetic. Aubrey is allowed to have different ways of dealing with pain without needing a tragic backstory but that is a minor quibble in a book that I devoured like candy.
I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Grant and Aubrey divorced after three years of marriage, but never stopped loving each other. They simply stopped communicating and fighting for each other after a devastating miscarriage. Grant is a fixer, but Aubrey was not in a place to be fixed. A couple of years after the divorce, they were in each other’s orbit more often. Grant decided that it was time to try to get his wife back. This story is about their journey through the pain of a miscarriage and it’s after effects as a couple tries to find their way back to each other. It’s both touching and funny. It is a nice conclusion to the series.
