The first word I thought of when I finished this book was WOW ! From the moment I started reading this series I wanted to know what happened to Grant and Aubrey. Even the characters in the other two books wanted to know. Let me tell you Kate Meader did not disappoint us. This book was such an emotional roller coaster ride. It took us back in time to the beginning and through to the end. It was such well written book. From the moment I meant these characters I new that they still had feelings for each other. This book tests those feelings and so much more. I do not want to spoil anything for you because I believe in order to enjoy the book fully you need to not know anything going in. Honestly you will not be disappointed at all. I absolutely loved all the side characters and it was great seeing the other characters from the first two books and seeing where they were. I would not only highly recommend this book I would recommend the whole series. Thanks Net Galley. I voluntarily reviewed this book in exchange for an honest review.

While the book still had much of the author’s usual banter, this book was much more emotional and serious than the author’s previous books. The book should probably come with a content warning based on subject matter.

We finally learn why Aubrey and Grant’s marriage ended in divorce even though they obviously still love each other. Given the different ways the hero and heroine were raised, it’s understandable that they would have different ways of dealing with the issues in their marriage. I wasn’t always convinced that the heroine loved the hero as much as he loved her. I also felt at times that he was in love with the woman that he thought she was and not necessarily who she really was. However, all in all I thought this was a good ending to the series and look forward to reading future books by this author.

Then Came You is a humorous, steamy and, at times, tear jerking second chance romance. Grant and Aubrey met in law school, married and appeared to be the perfect couple until they suddenly divorced. Their friends were puzzled, but got no explanations. Then, through a series of slightly convoluted events, Grant ends up driving Aubrey and her maddening cat from Chicago to Massachusetts for Thanksgiving with her family.

The enforced togetherness of the trip brings the two closer and reminds them why no one else “gets” them like each other. It also forces them to confront the tragedy that drove them apart. Aubrey is prickly at times, but the book slowly digs through her pain and background which explains her behavior. There is also plenty of hilarious family disfunction and sexy times. I’m not usually a fan of second chance romance—why couldn’t they get it right the first time??—but Aubrey and Grant convinced me. Trinity and Lucas from Illegally Yours take the prize as my absolute favorite characters in the Laws of Attraction series, but this sweet and funny story was a great conclusion to the series.

Then Came You is the first book I have read from this author and from the description I had high hopes that I would love it. Unfortunately this one was not what I expected especially from the description of the book. While yes it was a second chance romance between a divorced couple who clearly were still in love, it was in no way funny. Yes there were a few instances that I laughed and most of that was from Libby but overall it was a tedious read. Grant was awesome, he was loving and did so much to bring his wife back after their loss. Now my issue was with Aubrey. She was so frustrating to me, she's insecure and has mommy, daddy issues. I understand her loss, believe me I understand the loss literally but her not moving on or discussing it had nothing to do with her loss but more to do with how she perceives herself. In the end they get their second chance but honestly I the story never grabbed my attention to really care.

Then Came You is the third book in Kate Meader's Laws of Attraction series. I have really enjoyed this entire series and all of the characters have been entertaining and the stories engaging.

Grant Lincoln and Aubrey Gates fell in love in law school and eventually got married. For reasons that the two of them kept to themselves, two years ago their marriage ended. None of their friends understand it and it's clear the two of them still have feelings for one another.

Aubrey is fiercely independent, mostly due to the way she was raised (her family certainly does not give one warm fuzzies!) but she is also one to keep her feelings held very closely, which certainly doesn't help in relationships. Her philosophy is just to keep moving forward when something not so great happens. She's not one to deal with it head on.

Grant on the other hand feels everything and wears it on his sleeve. He was raised by a single mother, is truly a southern gentleman and the love he has for Aubrey is amazing. He's selfless and wants to do everything he can for the woman he loves, sometimes to a fault. He's the kind of guy you'd want in your corner for sure.

When Aubrey injures her arm making it impossible for her to drive home to her parents for Thanksgiving, Grant offers to drive her knowing she won't fly (she's terrified) and that her cat, Cat Damon, wouldn't be welcome on a train. Will the close proximity make these two finally fess up to the fact their relationship never should have ended two years before or will the deep cuts and wounds from years before continue to derail them?

This was a wonderful second chance love story. There were times I felt every emotion reading this book. I could feel the heartache, the heartbreak and the elation as I moved through the book. Kudos to Kate Meader for penning such an emotional and real book.

If you've been reading Kate Meader's Laws of Attraction series you've been dying to know the story behind Grant and Aubrey's divorce like me. Then Came You tells their story in a heartbreaking, believable, and satisfying way that'll make you praise the mind of Kate Meader.

Aubrey and Grant's story is one of my favorite tropes. Exes who fall back in love with another. You'll squeal with delight, cry with happiness, and blush from the downright dirty scenes!

I'm one of the odd ones here as I haven't read the rest of the series. This was also my first time reading a novel by this author so I went in with no expectations and I can say I enjoyed this a lot. It's not a particularly 'light' story line given the topics. They are real life challenges that people face everyday so empathizing with Aubrey and Grant.

I loved Grant! He was so real, raw, and sexy! I'd highly recommend this book! I plan to read the rest of the series as well.

I received an ARC of this novel from Netgalley in exchange for my review. Aubrey Gates and Grant Lincoln have the fiery passion that most romance readers enjoy. We love it when they clash, we love the snarky comments and heated glances, but in this case we don't wonder will they or won't they, because they already did and we know that because they were married...and now divorced. Now they are not just ex's, but opposing council, which leads to some pretty dramatic courtroom drama! But Aubrey's grandma has a 90th birthday coming up and she needs Grant to go to it with her, because they haven't been able to break the news to her that they are divorced.

Aubrey and Grant are forced to spend lots of time together on this trip, which also forces them to look at what went wrong. Clearly there are still feelings for each other, but can they overcome all the damage they did to each other? Very sassy beginning to the story with some very sad twists to the end. Still a very good story!

Then Came You is the final book in the Laws of Attraction series. And I could not wait to see how the series would conclude! I was not disappointed with Grant and Aubrey's book. It was absolutely fabulous. Then Came You is smart, witty, raw, emotional and sexy in one well written package. The emotion is so real, it's the kind of book both women and men can relate to. Five chilli peppers of hotness! Thanks NetGalley and Loveswept for the ARC.

This book took a little longer for me to dig into (I didn't like it quite as much as "Illegally Yours" - it just took a little longer to take off, for me), but I did enjoy it once I got over the hump. I think perhaps there should be a trigger warning for pregnancy loss, not necessarily on the back of the book or in the jacket, but maybe on the summary page before the book begins; I say this only because it features prominently in the storyline and as a person who has experienced this type of loss - I might have tread more carefully with this selection had I known. I don't think it would stop me from reading it but to have the option of advanced knowledge is nice. That said, I like how it was handled and how all perspectives of the impact are shown as Grant and Aubrey struggle toward reunion and reconcilliation. I also appreciated the resource for support at the end, Thank you #Netgalley for the chance to read this ARC in exchange for honest review.

I loved the writing and the pacing of this book. I'm not usually a fan of flashbacks but I liked how the author incorporated them in the story. I'm not the biggest fan of Aubrey but I did love Grant's character. I just felt like Aubrey's character was way too stubborn to the point that I would sometimes find her reactions annoying. But other than that, I liked the plot and the supporting characters -namely Grant's family and their friends. It makes me wish I read the other book before I read this one.

Like a tightly closed rosebud, this story takes some peeling back the layers to understand the dynamics of Grant's and Aubrey's relationship. But once the petals are unfurled, the full beauty of this story is revealed. When the truth is revealed several chapters in, the reader has a sympathetic understanding as to the reason for their breakup. The angst, the drama and the revelations that follow are tissuebox worthy. Loved the epilogue.

Then Came You is a second chance romance that gives the broken hope for the future. ~ Heather, White Hot Reads

As a woman who's often felt broken and dealt with some of the same challenges that Aubrey and Grant have, I felt for these characters . HARD. The book had barely started when I realized I wasn't going to be able to put it down without finishing it in one sitting. Grant Roosevelt Lincoln is the PERFECT book boyfriend.
Strong. Southern. Quiet. Loving.
He doesn't give up on anything that he loves, wants or desires.
Aubrey Gage is the exact opposite.
Hard. Opinionated. Boston Blue Blood.
She can't forget about what brought them to this place - however, she isn't going to talk about it. TO ANYONE. Grant, knows that they need to talk to move on.

Then Came You is a splendid story for the first blooms of spring where love and romance dance in the air.

YAY! We finally get Aubrey and Grant’s story, the divorced couple (who both happen to be divorce attorneys!) in the “friend” group. We have gotten a little snippet of them in book one and two of the Laws of Attraction series by Author Kate Meader, and now we get to find out what exactly happened.

When Aubrey shows up with a broken arm, but needs to travel to her dysfunctional/unloving family’s home for her Grandma’s 90th birthday, Grant offers to drive her. After packing Cat Damon and their bags into the car, they head out. After a few mishaps, a couple situations, a debilitating storm…they finally make it to her family’s home, only to have to endure her family.

This 2 person POV second-chance love story has some of everything! There is friendship, heartbreaking moments, humor, a talking cat, a blunt Grandmother, love, ess-eee-exx, flashbacks, a dysfunctional family…everything to make this book the amazing read that it is. I absolutely loved it and would totally recommend it! 4.5 stars!

I'm a big fan of Kate Meader's books, and I was excited to read the next book in the Laws of Attraction series. Then Came You is the story of Aubrey and Grant. Through the prior two books in the series, there were implications of a mysterious story of why Aubrey and Grant divorced, even if their friends didn't know the reason. So I was intrigued to read about their story. The reason ultimately was a heartbreaking one, and Then Came You explores that reason more and then what happens when Aubrey and Grant are reunited during a car trip home for the holidays. This book was definitely the more serious of the three, not as light hearted and fun. But these are real issues that real couples deal with, so I enjoyed that perspective. In my opinion, another great book from Kate Meader!.

This was a fun and enjoyable novel. Grant and Aubrey, both divorce attorneys are no longer married to one another but they continue to spar in court. The friction between the two of them is palpable. I kept wondering what caused their split. I liked how the author slowly doled out clues but kept it spicy. A secret tragedy tore them a part but their desire for one another remained. When Grant offers to accompany Aubrey to her family home over the holidays so her beloved grandmother won’t learn of their split, they can no longer run away from each other and when in close proximity sparks fly.

Then Came You is a bittersweet and sometimes hot second chance story that will have readers hoping this divorced couple can find reconciliation...if not as lovers at least as friends. The story is mostly dialogue driven, a big plus for this reader, with complex characters that are quite believable. The couple in question, both lawyers, have never revealed to family or friends why they divorced, and as the story unfolds it becomes clear that they never revealed enough during their break up to each other either. It’s hard to write this review and give no spoilers so I will just say that this is a book with good lessons on multiple fronts... and one that is worth reading again. I voluntarily reviewed an advance copy of this book. Most highly recommend.

I’ve read a lot of Kate Meader books, but this one was different. Aubrey and Grant have made appearances in the other Laws of Attraction novels (Down with Love and Illegally Yours) and I couldn’t wait to find out more about these two lawyers who were married, but then got divorced and had so much history together.
Kate Meader’s books usually involve complex characters and sometimes complex situations. But I felt that this book was different. It had the usual steamy scenes and witty banter, but also exposed both Grant and Aubrey’s vulnerabilities and insecurities. This wasn’t only a second chance romance, but also a book about forgiveness and self-forgiveness.
The one thing that I wasn’t a fan of was the flashback scenes. I loved the scenes from the past, but at times I couldn’t tell if what was happening in the book was in the past or happening in the present. Perhaps a better way of discerning past and present might have made it easier. Didn’t stop me from loving the book though! Thank you Kate Meader for writing another book that I devoured too quickly. **ARC provided by NetGalley and the publisher. All opinions are my own**

What a fantastic end to a great book series! We met Grant and Aubrey in the first two books as a former golden couple who are now divorced and can barely stand to be in the same room together. None of their friends understand what broke them up. This book is a wonderful figurative and literal journey that allows Aubrey and Grant to confront the problem that broke them up and eventually heal. Grant is a gentle giant who never stopped loving his wife. Aubrey is a complex character whose dysfunctional upper crust family has impacted how she deals with life. I loved both characters, warts and all. This was my first series by this author, and won’t be my last. I received an ARC of this book from NetGalley for my honest review.
