I found “Next Door Knight” to be an alright read, with a wounded, tortured hero and an adorable (and quite professional) therapy dog, Willow, who rescues him with the help of her owner, Kerry, a loving, kind woman.
Haunted by sorrow and guilt, Caleb is “a mass of contradictions” with Kerry, acting hot and cold for a large part of the story (the way he kept shutting her out was annoying, although I must admit he redeemed himself later). Caleb is going through major changes in his professional life and I liked how that part was depicted.
Kerry seems a sensible, strong heroine, so I found her ex’s intrusion a bit far-fetched (and her decision to break up with Caleb when the first problem arises was a bit odd, too).
The interaction between Kerry, Caleb and Willow (there’s something incredibly sexy in a man cradling a Corgi dog) is wonderful.
I also liked the secondary characters and the context of the story, they provided a realistic backdrop to the romantic plotline.

I enjoyed this love story. I wish they would have dived a little more into ptsd and emotional therapy c9mpanions, especially when he makes his life change. The story was very predictable, however they fight they had was ridiculous, She was so over the top with her reaction to what he did. It was crazy and over the top,

I think Next Door Knight by Nicole Flockton brings to the forefront the abilities of Therapy Dogs. The author took a woman who had experienced something distressing with her own therapy dog and placed her as the next door neighbor to a man who has had his own pain. The sweetness of a dog sensing these people would be perfect for each other was lovely.

I like stories with animals involved and this was the right kind of story.
I liked the cast of characters, both humans and pets, and the plot.
This book is entertaining and engaging.
I will surely read other books by this author.

I really enjoyed this. I love a wounded hero and Caleb is a gorgeously tortured one. The fact that this has mans best friend in as part and parcel of this series is just amazing. Animals have a beautifully healing quality and this book warmed my heart. Kerry and Caleb both needed each other and Willow the therapy dog knew it. Great read, lovely writing but there were instances in the book that felt disconnected. Scenes between Caleb and Kerry, there were movements between the two that needed developing. Like where Kerry was standing and positioned to meet Caleb's response. It would flow better I think if these issues were resolved. But I loved it. Great read and I'll be looking out for the series.

Kerry sometimes just needs to work things out with her dog, "she was standing in the middle of the sidewalk talking to her dog. Who did that? She did, apparently." Kerry's dad does not miss a thing, “sounds good, sweetie. We’ll be there in a few minutes. I think Caleb needs a little time to, uh, compose himself.” I liked this book, I liked Caleb.

The story of Kerry and Caleb. They meet when he reluctanly rescues her dog. Soon he is helping out more, but Kerry has just got out of a relationship with someone far too controlling, and Caleb keeps trying to take over.

Next Door Knight will pull at your heartstrings. I love when animals are included in a storyline. I especially love the role of a therapy dog. This is my first book to read by Nicole Flockton and will be reading more of her work.

Kerry is helping her father recorver from na accident and the last thing she needs is her dog disapearing to her new hot neighbor's house.
Willow is a theraphy dog and she knows that Caleb needs to open up and let others help him and there is no problem being a matchmaker for her owner. I love the dog's part in the story and how a dog can be good helping other specially in this novel.

Caleb does not want to be around dogs but he can't have the heart to say no to Kerry and Willow. After some terrible events and having to be in a medical license he is getting grumpy but not a beautiful corgi can't help with it.

Kerry was hurt in the past yet she has a good heart and she can't resist the hot airman. Kerry is not ashamed to show how she feels and trying her hardest to help Caleb. Her dad also is a good comic relief like any dad that wants his daughter to be happy.

There is some stalling and it was annoying yet it was a valid point and even it is a short book I like that Kerry stood her ground and Caleb was mature enough to let her be.

Kerry has trouble keeping her little corgi at home, especially when she becomes obsessed with Caleb, the hunky guy next door. A good story, and of course each has issues to overcome, but yet are drawn to each other and help each other heal. Basic concept is fine, and I liked the characters. Didn't see the point of the ex-boyfriend though, and her reaction at the end seemed a bit excessive. Other than that, I enjoyed the book and highly recommend it. Made me curious about therapy dogs.

Next Door Knight by Nicole Flockton. A heart-warming addition to the Man's Best Friend series. I enjoyed the first book in this series and enjoyed this one just as much. I enjoyed the characters (especially Willow the therapy dog), storyline and dialogue. I look forward to read the next book in this series.
