Pamela’s knitting club has just welcomed their newest member, Caralee Lorimer, an amateur actress in town to perform her role in A Tale of Two Cities. Caralee seems like a very colourful, different kind of character that makes Pamela quite hesitant around her. Things take a turn for the worse when Caralee is found dead during an evening theatre rehearsal. It’s up to Pamela to find the killer before they pounce again.

This book was an alright read. It definitely had the cozy mystery elements that I enjoy in a lot of other cozy mysteries such as the small town setting, the hobby based plot and the light murder mystery. However, I did feel like the characters weren't fully developed- so much that some of the characters were pretty forgetful after one chapter. I understand that this is the third book in the series so it would be a wise idea to read the previous books before this one, but for someone like me who randomly stumbled across this book and is reading this book as her first introduction to the series- it’s not a very well done introduction.

There were also some parts where the character kept doing the same mundane things repeatedly which the book could have done without and were completely irrelevant to the development of the overall plot- almost felt like filler pages.

This is my first time reading a cosy mystery where the protagonist isn't a restaurant owner, chef, or a food blogger, so the whole knitting element did not really appeal to me. However, I’m sure there are others who are into that, so I would recommend this book to those who like the hobby.

The mystery was better than expected. It was well-written and paced nicely, but the ending was something else- I’m still not sure how I feel about that ending.

2 stars

This is a standard cozy mystery. all right in itself but follows the format of alot of speculating and questions abound. I found it hard to keep track of the time frame as it just seems to change from one sentence to the next. The ending was good, a nice twist, based on nothing that came before. Still enjoyable though. #KnitOneDieTwo #NetGalley

This series just keeps getting better!
I am not usually a fan of "knitting" cozies, but I quite enjoy this one.
The characters are appealing and the whodunit kept me guessing until the final reveal (I did not guess correctly!)
I look forward to reading the next in the series.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

I love this series. The characters are like fast friends who you cannot wait to revisit in the next installment and this one was no exception.
The storyline kept me interested to the surprise ending. In no way could I figure out 'who done it' till the reveal.
My only problem, if you could call it that, was the constant emphasis on food. This book made me hungry!

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for the chance to read this book.

I did enjoy this one, although I feel like the 'cozy' aspect is a little overdone. The main character spends most of the time eating various cakes, baking and cooking dinner, and too much time on mundane tasks that get repetitive. She also obsesses a little too much over whether her hunky neighbour has returned or not, and I kind of wanted to see something (anything) happen in that direction and we really don't. Also it's an odd mystery with an odd conclusion, which I guess makes it different. Not different good, but still different. At least it's trying new things for a cozy mystery.

Probably needs a little more excitement, but I still enjoyed some parts and the writing is good. Three stars.

I love this series and started to read this book as soon as I downloaded it.
It was as lovely and enjoyable as usual, the kittens being a great plus.
The cast of characters was as likable and well written as usual, the kittens being a great plus.
The mystery was solid, full of red herrings and twists and turns, keeping me guessing till the end.
I look forward to reading the next installment as I want to know what will happen to Peggy and if there'll be romantic evolutions.
Highly recommended!
Many thanks to Kensington Books and Netgalley for this ARC, all opinions are mine.

Knit One, Die Two is the second in Peggy Ehrhart’s Knit & Nibble Mystery series and is a light and entertaining read. The author’s descriptive writing flows smoothly, with several things are repeated multiple times and cooking descriptions and daily routines that are somewhat monotonous. The well-developed characters are likable, and the interesting mystery kept me guessing until the final reveal.

Pamela Paterson lives in Arborville, New Jersey. She’s a widow with one daughter, Penny, who’s in college who lives in. She’s an associate editor of a craft magazine and the founder of the Knit and Nibble knitting club that meets every Tuesday evening. Bettina Fraser is her neighbor, friend, fellow knitter, and sleuthing partner. The Arborville Players are preparing for the opening of their latest play, A Tale of Two Cities, and are practicing in the church next to Pamela’s house. One of the actresses, Caralee Lorimer, joined the knitting club to learn how to knit and get into character for her role. When Caralee is crushed and killed when a pile of stuff falls on her when she’s removing chairs in the church storage room fall on her, the police rule her death as accidental, but Pamela questions their conclusion because Caralee told her the same thing had happened to her twice. Pamela reassures her daughter that there is nothing for her to worry about, but when Pamela sees a man in her back yard, she becomes unsettled. Pamela and Bettina begin digging into motives and alibis, Bettina’s husband, Wilfred, discovers a surprise in Caralee’s knitting, and Pamela has five, maybe seven, people on her suspect list. When a second body is found in the same location, Pamela hopes the police will reevaluate their findings in Caralee’s death.

I received a free copy of KNIT ONE, DIE TWO (Book 3 of the Knit & Nibble Mysteries) by Peggy Ehrhart, through NetGalley, in exchange for an honest review. Pamela Paterson and her Knit & Nibble group have found a new member. Amateur theater actress CaraLee Lorimer is learning to knit for her part in the upcoming production of A Tale of Two Cities. However, CaraLee is found dead from an accident very similar to previous “accidents” that had already injured CaraLee on several occasions. The police rule the matter an accidental death, but Pamela knows differently. After all, one time is an accident, twice is a coincidence, and three times is enemy action. Can Pamela find justice for CaraLee? Can Pamela find homes for all of those kittens? Also, will Richard Latimer ever come home?

I like this series and enjoyed this book. The kittens brought levity to the story. Pamela continues her struggle to figure out who she is and what she wants following the holes left in her routine by her husband’s death and by her daughter’s moving away for college. I recommend this book to fans of the series, Peggy Ehrhart, knitting, kitties, and mature moms behaving recklessly.

Such a fun series with a great group of characters. Well written with enough plot twists and turns to keep it interesting. This series makes me want to learn to knit.

This is a charming cozy mystery filled with an interesting plot, intelligent characters and, as an avid knitter, I loved the fellowship of the Knit and Nibble group. Pamela is at their weekly knitting gathering, sitting next to Caralee, an aspiring actress in the local community theater, who has just joined the group in order to learn how to knit for her role as Madame DeFarge in A Tale of Two Cities. Pamela notices a large bruise on Caralee's arm and when she asks about it, Caralee tells her that when she was setting up for the rehearsal chairs in the storage room fell on her. Then when she rearranged the chairs so this would not happen, they fell on her a second time. Shortly thereafter Caralee is killed when this happened for a third time. Although the police label this an accident, Pamela and her friend Bettina believe it was pre-meditated and the two intrepid women set out to prove their point. I loved this book, and especially enjoy the "Knit" and the "Nibble" at the end.

A nice fluffy cozy guaranteed to mitigate a stressful day! The knitters are hardly the silver haired mavens of suburbia, but caring members of a community in New Jersey. The first death is a young woman who is acting in the local production of A Tale of Two Cities and might have been the victim of an unusual accident before the evening rehearsal. The characters are interesting and the plot twists are interesting, but the red herrings are quite surprising. A good read!

The third book in the Knit and Nibblers is a light and entertaining read. Next door to Pamela Paterson's home is a church. The players have rent the building for use in their plays. Carolee Lorimer is the newest member of the group and she is knitting a throw for use in a play. Pamela and her best friend watch as the police responded to the death of a member from the current play. The police feel it is an accident, the girls feel otherwise and start to explore what happened. Coralee had A blog where she made fun of several residents. There are plenty of suspects. A second death the police are concerned about the cause. To added interest Catima five kittens have the run of Pamela's home. Was it the MURDER or an ACCIDENT?
I highly recommend this BOOK AND SERIES,
Knitting tips and recipes are included.
