This was a very different type of Fantasy with a Historical back ground.

It gave a great feel for the 1300's when witches were truly believed in.

I was made to think what was fantasy and what was just not understood, creating a great mistrust.

Wonderful Characters made this a great read.

Witch hunters, you can’t go wrong.

I enjoyed reading this book. It kept me guessing until the very end.

Harold is a witch-hunter, who is requested to go to a neighboring town to help fight witchcraft. He is sent with a cranky monk, and a young man Simon, who is leading them to his village. A good story overall, and reminds me in a way of Nicolas Gage's movie "Season of the Witch". Set during the same time frame, with the same superstitions. Overall, I enjoyed the story, although some of the side stories, for example the girls' in the village, seemed more distracting than useful. I did figure out who was the witch fairly early, but it didn't stop me from reading to find out how it ends. Interesting start to a new series, and look forward to reading the next one.

I received a copy from Azure Spider Publications through NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

I’ve read my fair share of fantasy novels featuring witches. So I had some expectations when I started reading Wolf’s Blood by E. L. Johnson. But the story was boring, I couldn’t relate to any of the characters. They just weren’t interesting, not even the witch hunter himself.
