2018 - AWARDED GOLD QUALITY FICTION MARK*

Welcome to Croft Haven ... where balance must always be maintained.

Kahner RavenCroft, a mind reader and the eldest of a set of triplets, dives headfirst into a world of intrigue and undercover work after a 'terrible' loss which eventually leads him to Texas and Kalysta Radford, the recently estranged wife of an abusive drug Lord.

In exchange for information, a pact is made for freedom and a new identity. But how can a woman on the run trust a man with so many secrets, who turns out to be gifted and the descendant of an extensive, and questionable, lineage?

Can two bickering souls find peace as Kahner attempts to bring them all safely to Croft Haven in Colorado or will their past wounds and a family secret put them both in danger of making the wrong choice?

Their stories of heartache, loss, healing and hope will steal your hearts, inspire your spirit, and may even leave you questioning why you believe what you do.

I was a bit disappointed with the overall story as I was expecting more of a paranormal vibe with a mix of suspense and romance.

The beginning of Chapter 1 had me hooked “The RavenCroft story begins in January of the year two thousand near Loveland, Colorado. The setting, amidst a wintry backdrop of clustered snow-laden pine trees near a lone building, which is located on the outskirts of town. IT is the middle of the night. THere’s an ominous sense of urgency,... but then it lost me.

To me it felt rather rushed and not thought out completely. The book definitely has potential. Since this is the first in what appears to be an expected series I am hoping the second book will be much better as the theme is good.

I was provided this book for free in exchange for my honest opinion.

I GIVE IT A 3 STAR: ⭐️⭐️⭐️

This was not my type of story. I was hoping for more paranormal and intrigue but sadly it was not in this book. The storyline was ok and the character development was great but in did not have a lot of teeth. Thank you NetGalley for allowing me to read this.

Unfortunately this one was not my cup of tea. The story premise was okay ... but the narration kept throwing me off balance. I ended up skipping a lot of pages to find something that would hold my interest.

From what I gather this is a romantic suspense with some paranormal thrown in for good measure. I didn't feel it reached that level. This is the first in a series .. and it may get better. Nothing ventured ... nothing gained.
