What stands out to me about this book is that it’s unlike any romance/drama I’ve read. The main character is messed up; there’s no other way to say it. Half the events aren’t even real, but all in her head. Despite how “screwed up” she is, she’s likable. At first I wasn’t sure if I’d like this book but I really enjoyed it.

- Messed up main character (Vanessa needs to see a shrink)
- Seemingly perfect marriage (I love her husband too much)
- A Black Mirror vibe
- Beautiful dreams
- Seattle
- Terrible-ish job
- Awful boss
- New concept
- PTSD and Anxiety

Vanessa works in a drug testing lab, where the drug makes you have weird dreams. Ness is married to a great husband but still dreams about an other man, her colleague Altan.
I definitively recommend it!

I received an advanced readers copy in exchange for an honest review

This book is very cute and sweet and definitely on the lighter side, but different, the plot was quite unusual for a new adult romance. The male characters were a little one dimensional but that’s fine -3.5 rounded up
