This was a brilliant read. As soon as I started reading this book I just knew I was going to love it. Highly recommended

Ok? But why? Do the Characters? Keep Talking? Like This?

No seriously, it wasn't just one character but multiple. Neither is this the "totally gripping thriller" (which the cover promises) as the book was severely lacking in action, thrills and suspense despite a strong start. Instead, it's just incessant telling (instead of showing) and talking. The reveal was also too obvious and predictable.

Lee was actually hilarious and I loved his sense of humour, so thank god for him being the only bright spot and adding some flavour to an otherwise dull book.

Overall, this had an intriguing start and the last few chapters were a marked improvement, but the journey in between wasn't anything to shout about.

The top Goodreads review has raised some concerning points and it would be nice if the author can address them. The comments about autism are problematic, and same goes for how the author reacted (badly). Until she addresses these, it is unlikely I will read anything else by her.

Unfortunately, I have not been able to read and review this book.

After losing and replacing my broken Kindle and getting a new phone I was unable to download the title again for review as it was no longer available on Netgalley.

I’m really sorry about this and hope that it won’t affect you allowing me to read and review your titles in the future.

Thank you so much for giving me this opportunity.
Natalie.

I wanted to love this and was only able to finish it on the third go. The writing isn't bad at all - I've definitely read worse - but for some reason I really struggled to engage with this story. The characters and the plot aren't all that interesting and there weren't enough thrills to keep you wanting to come back. Definitely a lot of potential but unfortunately, not a great read for me. 2.5 stars.

I wanted to like this book more than I did. It had moments and scenes where I was on the edge of my seat and others where I was bored to tears. It's not that the writing or plot was bad; they just felt executed in a really messy way.

That said, I was surprised at the ending which was probably the strongest part of the book.

There was a really interesting premise to the plot but unfortunately, it didn't grip me as I expected. I found the first part quite gripping but far less so in the second part. It picks up a little towards the end but overall, struggled to maintain my interest for most of the second half of the book. It had great potential but just lost its way somehow.

Unfortunately, Two Little Girls was not for me - I am having a hard time focusing lately and this one just did not grip me or hold me.

This book was just 'OK' for me. The storyline was interesting, but not enough to keep me coming back - which is why it took me much longer than usual to finish it. One big thing that really annoyed me was the constant use of random capitalization. I don't know if that's just me, but I found that completely off putting! The 'twist' wasn't that big of a reveal to me (which is always a disappointment). The characters weren't very deep or particularly likeable.

A gripping, edge of the seat thriller about a missing child case, a bereft family and a friendship, which after many years is pulled once more to the surface.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publishers for letting me read an advance copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

I thoroughly enjoyed the first half of this book, however I felt the second half suddenly changed direction and it really slowed the story down. I struggled to finish the book!

It was an average read - Not was enjoyable as I thought it would be based on my thoughts during the first half.

Lisa and Kirsty are best friends in 1984 and enjoy spending time together . Lisa has a wild imagination and loves to tell tall tales . One day Kirsty and Lisa have an argument in the park about one of her lies and Kirsty walks home but Lisa is never seen again. 30 years later Kirsty is still struggling with her friends death and as she starts looking into her disappearance Kristy comes across secrets and lies which makes her question if the right man was convicted all those years ago

Two Little Girls by Frances Vick is a slow burner which I found interesting until about halfway through A little slow in the middle it picks up pace later and with some twists and turns along the way, which made it an ok read for me

I would like to thank Bookouture & NetGalley for providing an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest and fair review.

I thought it was a clever, addictive and nicely paced psychological thriller.
I would definitely read another book by this author.

The story starts in the same place as many thrillers do, a horrible crime is committed. The killer is caught and convicted. But from there, the paths diverge. A young girl identifies the man she thinks killed her friend and he is convicted, based on her testimony. She has always had a question in her mind of right and wrong. Now she returns to the same small town to finally figure out if she did the right thing so many years ago. Frances Vick took a familiar story line and gave it a twist, taking us with her. How the story ends was a bit of a surprise...you'll just have to read for yourself.

This starts with meeting the two main protagonists, Lisa and Kirsty….best friends..

In 1985 Lisa disappears from a local park, her body is later found...she had been murdered…...she was alone as Kirsty had left her after an argument….

A man was charged, all based on Kirsty’s testimony…….now 30 years later, still wracked with guilt and doubts she returns home to find out the truth….(bit late for the guy locked up!)....who can she trust? will she find the truth?

A clever, slow burn of a thriller.

Thanks to NetGalley and Bookouture for giving me the opportunity to read an ecopy. This is my honest, unbiased review.

Wow what a brilliant book, with all the twist and turns I never once suspected the ending. Although a serious book, there was also humour in it, especially from Lee. This is a definite must read book,

For me, this was not a gripping psychological thriller. It had potential, but didn’t reach it for me. There were story lines that I would have liked the author to explore and they were just dropped. For me, not a great read.

I ploughed through this book at 80mph and loved it, in 1985 best friends forever Lisa and Kirsty have an argument in the park on their way home and both go their separate ways but only one arrives home.

The police begin an investigation and the person who took Lisa is found and put behind bars, but the police investigation is bungled and Kirsty isn’t sure what she sees yet goes along with what the police want to hear and so is an innocent man behind bars?

Lisa was always making things up and inventing all sorts to make herself more interesting and popular and so how do you differentiate the truth from lies?

Find out yourself, it’s a corker of a book and one not to be missed!

An absolutely gripping novel from start to end. The story of a girl, now a women, revisiting home where she once lost her best friend, facing her inner self and outer obstacles to find what truly happened years ago when she was a child and her best friend disappeared.
Twists and turns you will never see coming around every page in this great story of "Two Little Girls."
