I used to read lots of chicklit a few years ago and then suddenly thrillers were my top one reads. Now I am still enjoying both genres. It’s nice to devour a feel good book where people only want to kill each other virtually from time to time and the time was now. 😊

At first I did not know it was part of a series, but I had no problem reading this as a standalone. Of course you don’t have every detail about the backstories and it makes me anxious to read them too. I can’t help it. I just want to know everything 😉. The author gives the right amount of information so I never had the ‘what?’ or ‘How so?’ kind of feeling.

When you make a mistake, you often regret it afterwards, but nobody is able to turn back the clock. It would be nice if we could, wouldn’t it, but now you have two choices because you know you have hurt others, loved ones…

So either you bite the bullet, come clean and face the music or you keep quiet and hope the secret will remain just that: a secret. And then, undeliberately someone lets the cat out of the bag…

Having a nickname can be quite funny and no matter how old you get or wherever you are, it will stick. 😊

I enjoyed this story a lot. Having a perfect wedding certainly is a lot easier than having a perfect marriage. 5 stars

Thank you

No-one Ever Has Sex at a Wedding was my first Tracy Bloom book but it won't be the last! This was such a fun, easy read with brilliant writing and great characters. A near perfect Summer read. 4 stars.

I love this series by Tracy Bloom and No-one Ever Has Sex At A Wedding didn’t disapoint.

It starts at the wedding of Braindead (aka Craig) who is my favourite character from the series. He is intelligent, kind, funny and brutally honest. His speech (which he mainly dedicated to his best man Ben) was priceless and unfortunately for Ben’s wife Katy he accidently let slip a huge secret. Something that Katy had hoped was buried very firmly in the past.

The book works fine as a stand alone but I would recommend that you read the previous books because previous events are quite pivotal to this story. It is a lightweight, easy read with some really funny moments and a cast of characters who are hugely relatable. Some deeper issues are covered but on the whole this is a witty peek into the area of marriage, friendship and relationships.

If you love books about weddings you will love this one!

funny and lighthearted book but it definitely pays to read the others in the series. I was unaware this was part of a series and found myself lost at times. But it is good for a nice easy read and a bit of a giggle!

The best wedding based book I have read. It made me laugh, awww and gasp in horror.

Invites to 3 wedding means lots of dramas throw in that the maid of honour/best woman is pregnant and this story gives lots of that and lots of giggles too. Katy being pregnant and having invites to the weddings of 3 of the closest people to her is obviously going to end in disaster. Especially when those people are your diva mother and she is marrying your gay best friend’s dad and the other wedding is your gay best friend, oh and your mother wants to share her big day with your gay best friend, what could possibly go wrong?

This book was everything I hoped it would be. It made me laugh and allowed me to build on connections I had made with the characters in the previous books. I loved the escapism of the story but that it was a reflection of what it is like when you’re involved in wedding planning and how true to life it is. I like how the characters have their own individual backgrounds and you get to learn about these throughout all the books and they all flow together and it doesn’t detract from the main story.

While it helps to read the other books in the series I read them a bit out of order and it wasn’t really an issue. A testament to the author and how well written the books are. This is my new must read series I recommend it to everyone that ever asks what is a good book to read?

Too much casual sexism.

This book started off a little slow and I nearly gave up but at 25% it got a little better. I’m giving this 3 stars. Just ok for me. Didn’t love it but didn’t dislike it either.

I’d not read any others in this series but found no problems and think it can totally be a standalone. It was a nice enough read, fun and easy to follow. I found some of the characters easy to connect with, others not so much. They were pretty childish and immature, which for 30/40 somethings isn’t great. I found it a bit too silly at times and it put me off. It wasn’t altogether what I expected.
It’s probably just not my cup of tea and I can probably see the appeal if you have followed the series too.

I really enjoyed this book. The characters were appealing and well written and I felt immersed in the story throughout the book.

This was a light read, but I had a hard time getting through it because it never really captured my interest. . I feel like the characters could have been developed more and more likable overall. Overall, I was not a huge fan of this book.

I will begin this review with the disclosure that I haven't read any of the other books in the No-one Ever Has Sex... series by Tracy Bloom. Would it make a difference?

I understand why people are drawn to books like this: They are an easy read, they are entertaining and, at times, quite funny; what I tend to call 'popcorn for the brain'. This isn't a terrible book by any means but its attempts at humor through presenting completely ridiculous and unfathomable scenarios grated on me over time. Who in their right mind would (audibly) ask the registrar at the top of the alter, during his wedding ceremony, if he needs to have sex with his new wife on their wedding night to legally seal the deal on his marriage? Or reveal in his wedding speech in front of all of his and his wife's family and friends that his best man's wife slept with an old boyfriend at their high school reunion? At these points, 'funny' just became bizarre.

With an unrealistic series of events and characters that are not at all likable, this book wasn't for me, unfortunately. For the few giggles I had, I am giving it 1.5 stars.

What a great title, right? I'm happy to tell you that the book lives up to the title and made me laugh out loud several times. A fun, frothy, chick-lit title!

Many thanks to NetGalley, the publisher and the author for my ARC. All opinions are my own.

This was a funny chick lit book that I read in an afternoon. Sometimes I can use a light, easy read with quirky characters that takes me away from serious historical fiction, for instance, and this book fits the bill. I haven't read the other "No-one ever has sex at..." books, but the next time I need a fun escapist read I'll find one of these!

Thanks to Bookouture and NetGalley for the ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I love Tracy Bloom’s books! I’ve read all of this series, enjoyed them all and this one certainly didn’t disappoint.
She manages to mix humour about marriage and families with a relatable, touching storyline. It’s a quick read that makes it perfect for summer holidays.

I'd like to thank NetGalley for this digital ARC in an exchange for an honest review.

First of all, this is the fourth book in a series and I didn't know it, but I didn't have major problems trying to understand the story as a standalone. I liked this book, but not so much as i wished to. It's not a serious read and I didn't expect that either, this book is really fun and that's why I liked it. In some parts of it, I laughed really heard.

But also, I felt some problems within it. One of the main characters kept being called Braindead and so I was always forgetting his real name because of it (I think it's Craig, right?). And i could only connect to Katy and Alison in some way as characters, the other didn't feel real. Especially after I discovered they're in their fourties, but their attitude was so like teenagers or at least early twenties. And some of their attitude make me sigh "Poor Katy" in so many times.

I have to be totally honest and say I really didn't like this book. I persevered with it as I did want to see how it ended but I felt that the characters were weak and Katy and her pregnancy really got on my nerves.
She was whiny and her pregnancy was the most advanced one that I have ever come across for four months, maybe a little more research was needed there.
Sorry but its a no from me!

Read this book as I really enjoyed another of Tracy's books the dinner party. Really enjoyed it, Didn't realize it was one of a series of books, so will now go and purchase the others as I enjoyed this one very much

A light and fun little book about couples. Some well estsblishEd marrieds, some newly weds and some on the threshold of marriage and all of the good, the bad and the ugly one could encounter along the way. This is the 4th in the series. I hadn’t read the previous ones but it didn’t require you to have read them to keep up. Thank you to Netgalley and Bookoutre for my ARC of No-one Ever Has Sex at a Wedding by Tracy Bloom
