Frost is the first book I have read from this author and I was pleasantly surprised at how well it was written.

In this story, Lauren Frost suffers a mortal wound from a car accident, an elf intervenes and transports her to their world, Daraglathia, which is in the midst of a civil war between the elves and humans.

It's captivating and the quite enjoyed the characters.

I recieved this arc through NetGalley for an honest review of my thoughts and mine alone. This novel was very enjoyable, this character growth was impeccable. I really felt myself being amiable towards the characters and could feel myself empathizing with all the emotions they were going through. This novel was very enjoyable.

I would like to thank Zimbell House Publishing and the Netgalley website for this partnership.

I love the cover of this book which was a real favorite to read.

It features Lauren Frost and her friend Noah who has been missing for eleven years. Lauren suffered a fatal injury in a car accident. An elf is going to transport her to their world. Daraglathia is in the midst of a civil war between elves and humans. With lives at stake, she'll have to choose sides quickly. And in trying to find her friend and looking for a way out of this world.

I loved this book from the start with a captivating, addictive story full of suspense and twists and turns with endearing characters. Can't wait to read the book two.

I read this ARC of Frost by Chelsea Moye. Frost is Book one of a fantasy takes place in Daraglathia. Daraglathia is a world of dwarves, elves and humans. The main character is a senior in high school who is struggling with her father's romantic relationship with her nemesis and her loss of her childhood friend. She is injured and transported to Daraglathia where she learns she is emotionally stronger than she realizes. This book would appeal more to girls struggling with being a teen than boys. I also feel that this book would be for younger teens than older teens.

I received a copy of this book for a fair and honest review. This is the first book in a series. Lauren ends up in Daraglathia where there is a war going on between Elves and Humans. Lauren is looking for her friend that has missing for a long time now. She has to make a lot of life and death decisions along the way in a world that she is not sure of or how she will survive. It is a good start to this series.

This is a creative story that fits well with the Sci-Fi and Fantasy genre reminding me of Narnia books, Wizard of Oz and A Wrinkle in Time. While it won't be a classic it is an enjoyable read. It is also ideal for older teen and young adult readers. I think it is similar to some popular books of recent years too such as the Hunger Games series and Divergent series. I can remember reading many books like Frost as a teen and young adult and looking forward to more. This is like that with well developed characters and an interesting idea for a story. I kept thinking back to all my favorites I read while a teen and this would fit on that list -- maybe not a favorite, but one I'd enjoy reading. There is set to be more in the series and I'd like to see what is in store for these characters.

The story centers around Lauren Frost who is hurt in an accident then elves take her to another world where there is a war happening. The elves and humans are fighting and Lauren needs to decide who to side with while also keeping herself safe. The fantasy world premise is the best part of this book -- fun and interesting!

Sometimes readers might feel the story seems to ramble about the same thoughts frequently. Then the ending in the fantasy area is simple after all the build up. Yet, if you really think about it there is more happening as you continue on with reading. If the reader allows themselves to become part of the story you see how creative an idea the story really provides. Then again an avid reader will also find the story predictable yet it is a book for teens and young adults to enjoy. Remember too it is a fantasy book -- enjoy it for that. It was worth reading and I look forward to the next in the series.

This book was just not for me, thought it was going to be something else, to what it was. The book does have potential, and im sure it will appeal to other readers.

I received this book from netgalley for an honest review.

First, I like the premis of this novel. That being said I have a few issues with it too. The premise that a teenager would obsess over a boy that disappeared 11 years ago, regardless of the closeness of their friendship is a little off putting. Also, the relationship between her school bully and her dad is both creepy and disrespectful. Once she gets to the other world, the story gets more interesting and exciting, but I got sick of her putting herself down, and the discussion on inner strength and emotions happened overtly very frequently. I get they told her that she had been destined to be a strong woman and gave up her own happiness in order to keep the peace, but there’s a point where we get the idea.
I loved the warfare, spellwork, and the willingness to sacrifice as well as the twist at the end- so I really hope the next is a little more even.
But, from what I could tell looking online, this might be a rewrite of her previously self published (?) novel from a few years ago.

I don't want to spoil anything so I will ble vague but this book wasn't for me. It was the story of Lauren Frost who after a car crash and is a coma when she is approached by three messengers. They inform her that she can be transported to another world and try to earn her life back or she can die. She chooses to go into another world which happens to be full of elves/dwarves/magic and along the way is looking for her long lost childhood best friend. I couldn't get into the relationships between the characters and the ending in my opinion was pretty boring.
