Just One of The Groomsmen was sweet, but ultimately it felt forgettable. I liked the book fine, but I didn’t feel that there was anything that really stood out to me to help me remember it a month or two down the line.
The book is a friends to lovers story featuring Addison Murphy and one of her childhood best friends Tucker Crawford. Their romance was cute, however, I found it predictable. I also didn’t really feel any chemistry between the two of them reading this story.
One thing that I did love in this story, however, was the relationship between Addison and Lexi. Too often, authors turn the friend's fiancé into someone mean and insecure. While Lexi had her moments of doubt regarding Addison and Shep’s friendship, she ultimately got over it and despite her fears became friends with Addison. Truthfully the development of their friendship was one of my favorite aspects of this story.
While I enjoy Cindi Madsen’s work, this was not my favorite but I think I will still read more from her in the future.

This is the first book I have read by Cindi Madsen and I enjoyed learning about a group of Alabama friends. I could identify with Addie as just 'one of the guys' and preferring yoga pants to dresses. The relationship between Addie and Tucker was at times heart wrenching as the tenderness of their history was revealed. I chose to view this as a sweet romance and skipped over graphic descriptions and language which I felt were a detriment to the positive aspects of the story. I liked the content of Addie and Tucker's character and want to see more stories about the rest of the group. I felt like there was a great teaser for more and look forward to it.

I received a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley. The opinions express in this review are entirely my own.

It's a heartwarming story of friendship, love, romance and fun. The author creates creates who are believable, real and sincere. Don't miss this wedding with a twist story.

Just One of the Groomsmen is another fun read from Cindi Madsen! Addison is just one of the guys, part of a longtime group of guy friends, who have been together since grade school. When one of them announces his engagement, she is included as one of the groomsmen, but she'll have to be dressed as a bridesmaid! Not being a girly-girl, this doesn't set too well with Addie, but she plays along.

Returning to town for the festivities is Tucker, who had moved to the city to make money as a lawyer. After visiting briefly, he decides to move back permanently. Much to his surprise, seeing Addie as more than just "one of the guys", his feelings for her change and his attraction grows. She has the same reaction to him.

Much of the novel consists of them fighting their attraction in an effort to not mess up the gang. It does bog down and get a little tedious and predictable, a typical novel. Ms. Madsen does bring it together in the end and creates a satisfying ending.

Thank you to the author, Entangled Publishing, LLC and NetGalley for an ARC of this novel in exchange for my honest opinion.

Cindi Madsen's Just One of The Guys is the story of friends growing up in Uncertainty, a small Alabama town. When one of them decides to get married he asks his friends to be groomsmen, including Addison Murphy. One of the guys, Tucker Crawford has just returned to Uncertainty. As Addie tries to be part of the wedding and Tucker starts noticing that Addie isn't just a "guy" all kinds of alarms start going off in the close-knit town. Not only Addie and Tucker's personal alarms but those of the town gossips as well. Good Rom-com book and I would recommend it.

This is a cute love story about a girl growing up in a small Alabama town, friends only with a rag-tag team of boys. Eventually, she realizes love has been staring at her for most of her life. The premise of the story is sweet, and the character progression in the story was well written. Both Addie and Tucker's characters are relatable and you find yourself cheering for them. This trope is my favorite, I really liked the characters, and I so wanted to love this book. However, I hate third person POV in romance books as I never feel fully connected to the story and characters. And at times, the story began to ramble and repeat the same interspective monologues over and over, so much that I could flip several pages and the character was still in their head before continuing with their actual dialogue. It took away from the chemistry that was building between Addie and Tucker as well as the other relationships Addie was building with her family and new friend. For these reasons, this book only gets three chilli peppers of hotness.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. Thanks NetGalley and Entangled Publishing.

I loved the characters in this new book from Cindi Madsen. They were very relatable and I liked the concept of a woman being buddies with a group of guys.. I laughed a lot while reading this book and it left me with a huge smile on my face! While the storyline was a tad predictable, it was a fun ride and I recommend this book to others looking for an easy quick read. I also will look forward to the net books in this series.

This is my first book by Cindi Madsen, and it definitely won’t be my last. Addie, Tucker, Shep, Easton and Ford have been friends for most of their lives in the little town of Uncertainty Alabama. When Shep calls an emergency meeting of his friends, he announces that he is getting married to his girlfriend sexy Lexi. He asks his friends to be his groomsmen, including just one of the guys Addie. While Addie prefers yoga pants and tennis shoes over a dress and heels, she agrees to be apart of her friends wedding. Tucker has been living in the big city working as a lawyer. He is miserable and decides to chuck it all and move back to Uncertainty. Feeling untethered with life, he is thrown for a further loop when the set of legs he is ogling, turn out to be attached to his best friend Addie. Both of them fight their burgeoning attraction and need to get past their own insecurities to get to their happily ever after. I loved all of these characters and their unique friendship. This is definitely a great start to a new series. I was given an ARC of this book from NetGalley for my honest review.

Fantastic story! I loved how Cindi shows that women and guys can be close friends to the point of being family. There was just enough steamyness to keep it interesting.

This was my first time reading this Author's book. I want to say I was hooked on this book before the chapter 1 ended. I love how 4 guys and 1 girl have been friends for most of their lives. Never crossing the line, and you can imagine the fun they had as teenagers growing up.

Tucker Crawford moved away 2 years ago to be a lawyer, to get stability in his job, and money. Meanwhile Addison Murphy stayed back at home continuing on with her life. Tucker comes home over a weekend because one of the guys request his presence. As Tucker is coming back into town, he finds a car broken down off the road. What he doesn't expect is to fine a women underneath the car trying to fix it. As he is checking out her legs, and liking what he sees, when that person comes out from within the car he realizes he was looking at his best friends legs. Not in the friendly kind of way either. From their he can not get her out of his mind. They still get together and hang out like they use to when they were younger. But then he is feeling things for her, that he shouldn't be. Meanwhile Addison is having those feelings too.

Lets just say they cross the line, then they try to figure out how they can make it work, without the whole town finding out. I laughed out loud when I read some of the parts of the book. I could reread this book again, it was so entertaining. I'm hoping that there will be another book, because there are still 2 more friends that need to get married and fit into the group of friend.s

This was a very cute read. I love friends to lovers romances. Addie is Just one of the boys, until she and Tucker start seeing each other differently. I like that there was sex but the story wasn’t just focused on that. It was a lot of friendship and laughter. Thank you to netgalley for the ARC!

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book that I received through NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own. This is the first time I've read anything by Cindi Madsen and it most certainly will not be the last. I absolutely love this friends to lovers book. I loved how Addie wasn't perfect, I loved that she was a tomboy and only girl in her small group of male friends and was happy with who she was, and she was perfect for Tucker. I loved the small town setting and all the supporting characters, they were hilarious and all the interaction between the small group of friends. And Addie's Nona was by far I think the best supporting character, she was hilarious. This was a fun read that I did to want to put down, wanting to see where it went. There was a right amount of awkward angst to all the small town hi jinx and hilarity. There was enough of a glimpse into each of the band of friends to really want a story on each of them now, I kind of hope Ms. Madsen makes a series out of it I definitely recommend it.

Ok. I liked the premise so much. Abbie has a group of friends... guy friends. She doesn’t have any girl friends, if only, she’s trying to be friends with the fiancé of one of her friends. Her BFF comes to town for a bit, returns to the city and then comes back for good and then, after some _glances_ they both start to feel like love and lust. All good with that! The guy wanted to follow his passion and Addie found a better job... some things happen, and they both get sad but then HAPPY AGAIN. And i’m ok with it! I love the friends-to-lovers trope so much it’s one of my favorites. The only thing I really didn’t like was: “i’m not like other girls”, “i fight, play football, i coach football, idk about makeup”. Then she grew a bit more into her character and fell in love and what not.

Addie is just one if the guys. She’s the only girl in their little group. She is not a girly girl and can get down and dirty with the rest of them. When one of her friends announces he’s getting married, he want them all to be his groomsmen. Even Addie but she’ll have to be on the bridesmaid side. Tucker is a lawyer a couple of hours away and he and Addie have been best friends since they were little. Now he’s quit his job and is moving back. Tucker starts noticing little things about Addie and they end up crossing the line, by getting involved. But when a great job opportunity comes up, could Tucker and Addie lose their relationship and friendship to her moving away?
Funny. Sexy. I absolutely loved this story. I believe this is the first time reading Ms. Madsen’s books but if they are like this one, not the last. A town too nosy, a slightly wild grandmother, and best friends everyone needs.

This friends to lovers romance has a cuteness about it, but the characters and their sassy attitudes gives it a little spunk. I loved the character Addie and how she was one of the guys, but deep down she still had the same emotional turmoil as girls everywhere. While playing a huge part in their little circle of friends, she still felt like the odd man out (being the only female in the group.) Tucker was sexy and sweet. Their transition from just friends to more was a sort of slow burn. Of course just when things are going well for the pair, a wrench was thrown into the works. It's a fun story with lots of 'should we' 'shouldn't we' push and pull. It's well written and I especially enjoyed the characters inner dialog. You really feel their struggles. There's a plenty of humor and a few sad moments. There is a small amount of sexual content, but it's kept rather PG-13. (You know what's going on, but it isn't graphic.) My only complaint is that some of the things Addie worried about, in regards to their relationship, were never really discussed with Tucker. Though it is a happy ever after, I would have liked to seen his response to these. Other that that, it was a good and well rounded story with plenty of crazy characters in the mix. :)

I received an arc copy of this book from NetGalley for my honest review. Addison and Tucker are part of a group of childhood friends. As an eternal tomboy Addie fits in perfectly with her group of guys from playing sports to playing poker until one of the guys announces he’s getting married and she’s going to be one of the groomsmen. Along the way Addie finds that being a “girl”is not so hard and Tucker realized that Addie being a girl is actually a “great”thing. This is a soft romance that focuses on the relationship and has lots of great side characters. It’s a nice quick read without a lot of heat but you definitely can tell that Addie and Tucker were always meant to be. There’s also a lot of potential for new stories too as the other friends and hilarious family members (aka Addie’s grandma) have some side stories going on. This is great when you’re in the mood for something light and sweet. 5 stars

A sweet contemporary romance with a satisfying friends-to-lovers story. Addie is a small-town physical therapist who dreams of working with professional athletes. Tucker is a big-city lawyer who quits his high-pressure job and moves back to their southern town to plot his next move. Although they've been platonic best friends since high school, something changes this time when they're thrown together in a wedding party, and suddenly they're fighting mutual attraction. But getting together could ruin the dynamic in their friend group, not to mention their own friendship--or it could be really great.

I found some of the country-fried expressions (more than one metaphor about biscuits and butter) a little too heavy-handed. But overall this is an enjoyable book.

It's been a while since I have read a book by Cindi Madsen. I can't even remember why really. I think there were maybe one or two books of hers that weren't my thing, so I just didn't pick up her next release or something. I'm really regretting that decision right now.

The title and cover of Just One of the Groomsmen caught my eye and my attention. I was really curious what being "just one of the groomsmen" meant. When I read the blurb, I knew I had to read. It sounded adorable! I love a good romance about best friends falling in love. I also loved the fact that Addie was "one of the guys" and how that affected the whole wedding.

Addie is one of my favorite characters I've read recently. She's definitely not a demure little thing. She holds her own with the four guys she's buddies with. I loved how she was both confident in herself, but also a little worried about being unnoticeable. I loved watching the wedding plans unfold through her eyes. It was also really entertaining when she figured out she might just have feelings for one of her best friends.

Tucker surprised me. There was more baggage in his past than I expected and it was interesting to see how that influenced the choices he made. What surprised me the most was that I expected him to be more oblivious than he was. He seemed to pick on things faster than Addie did. That was really cool. I loved that he loved Addie for who she was.

Addie and Tucker's friendship was cool, but their falling for each other was amazing. The history they had made every little thing that went on between them mean that much more. I liked how they had to navigate their changes in feelings for each other. Not only did they have to worry about their own friendship, but the other three guys they were friends with too. It added that much more pressure to the situation and fun to the story.

As for those friends... I wanted to be friends with them, too! They had this tight bond that was just so cool. They all respected Addie and included her as one of the guys. They didn't think she was any lesser than them in any way. I liked how everything played out between them all. I want to read books about each every one of them! (Is there a Shep and Lexi book I missed? I'm super curious about them now.) I liked how their different personalities stuck out even though they didn't get a ton of times to show. I also loved how Lexi was instantly included and how Addie got to know her. Such good stuff in the friendship department in this book!

I can't leave out the setting. This book was set in a small town. That small town had a life of its own with all the characters in it. I adored the gossiping women, Addie's Nonna, and all the other people who made appearances. They made the book that much more fun!

Just One of The Groomsmen has to be one of the cutest contemporary romances I've read in a long time. It was right up there with my favorite Lauren Layne, Jill Shalvis, and Kristan Higgins romances. I absolutely adored it!

It was great fun reading how Tucker's view of his childhood best friend, Addie, changed. The two of them had great chemistry and really complimented each other well. Their small group of best friends (of which Addie is the only girl) were a fun group of guys who would drop everything for each other.

I highly recommend this book! I received a free ARC via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
