I found this to be a superb storyline that grabs you right from the start keeping you engrossed and on edge throughout the whole book!

Great characters that will keep your interest extremely well. The chemistry, sweetness, and twists in plot kept things interesting. Add in drama and you have a good read.

I received a copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

I received an ARC from NetGalley on this book . I will admit I let it sit in my queue for a while. I now regret that. This book was WOW. I get tired of the predictable boy meets girl, they are instantly in love and everything is roses. This book dealt with a lot of real life issues, depression being one of them. I was very invested in the entire family this book introduced and was even happier that there are more books. I actually went straight to Amazon and bought them all. Get to know this family. You will regret it if you don't.

One of my new favorite books! This author has such a way with words the pages flew by in no time! I can’t wait to see the next work by this author! This was such a joy to read!

I love that this is a series. The Jacksons are a tight knit bunch that like to have fun, and I hope all the siblings have their own book. Ethan is dreamy. He's a single dad and a doctor. Not just a doctor, but he delivers babies. I feel for Nic getting rejected and looking for someone to love her for her...until a case of mistaken identity blows that out of the water. I love that Lilly is the first one to fall in love with Nic.

Lexi Ryan brings us a story of a single father, a widower and his daughter's nanny.

Nicole takes place as a nanny after her sister admits she's pregnant with Nicole's fiancé's baby. She met Ethan on her first day in the city, and they sort of hooked up. Well, he had to leave before they did that.

Ethan didn't expect Nicole to be the newly hired nanny and he certainly didn't expect the chemistry between them. Ethan had deep issues and most of the time, I was wondering if this book will turn out to be some kind of twisted thriller. We don't get explanations till the end.

Nicole gets along with Ethan's daughter pretty well, but she hates lying to Ethan about who she is. I liked her from the beginning because she could have said she's her sister when Ethan's mum had an interview with her but she was honest and I respect that. She couldn't tell Ethan though because of several reasons (don't want to spoil here ;) ).

I don't read a lot of single parent's stories but I admit, I'm starting to really like them. I truly recommend this book, I'm very curious about other Ethan's siblings and their stories so I already added the next two on my TBR.

5 stars.

I’ve been wanting to read this book since it came out. It came highly recommended by a trusted friend and I just knew it was going to right up my alley. One thing was clear from the moment I started. This is an addictive story and once I started, I didn’t want to put it down.

Let me clear up first that single father romances, especially when they involve the nanny, are sort of one of my weaknesses. If you add in a great family feel and a small town, I’m sold! And that’s exactly what you will get here. But there’s an emotional undertone that creeps up on you and makes this story go a little deeper and pull at strings you weren’t expecting.

Nicole finds out on her wedding day, at the altar, that her fiance had gotten her twin sister pregnant. Needless to say she runs out of there and spends her “would-be” wedding night in another town she’s escaped to using her twin’s identity, getting drunk and having an almost one night stand with a hot stranger. The opportunity falls in her lap to assume her twin’s identity even further and take the job she was supposed to start as a nanny for a widower. Returning home to her small town after her embarrassment just isn’t something she’s ready to face yet. But that hot stranger from the other night turns out to be her new boss and now their relationship starts on a lie.

I really felt bad for Nicole. She’s really never found herself and it took a pretty big life shake-up for that to happen. Her twin has always been the “bright” one, the center of attention, and Nicole was always in the shadows. I loved how the whole Jackson family takes her in and she’s able to come out of her shell in that environment.

Plus there’s the chemistry. Nicole and Ethan have chemistry for days! I’m partial to a grumpy hero and Ethan can be grumpy often, but it’s so endearing. It was rewarding seeing the walls come down and I just wanted to get a little bit more every time.

I’m totally fascinated with the Jackson boys and I honestly almost started book 2 right away because I was so excited for the setup of that book. I’ll be reading it soon! The only one I’m apprehensive to read is the romance involving Nicole’s twin, Veronica. I’m not one to forgive and forget and I don’t know how the author will redeem her in my eyes.

If you like small town romances with a heavy dose of family you may want to try this series!

A hawt sexy fantasy of a book. Sometimes, escapism is all you want and Ms. Ryan delivers! Loved this one.

Many thanks to NetGalley, the publisher and the author for my ARC. All opinions are my own.

This book! So many things to tell you all about this book. I must preface this by telling you I love Lexi Ryan. For me, everything she writes is gold, and it comes down to her ability to tell a somewhat unreal story and make it seem like it could happen. It's an escape from reality, without being complete fantasy. Secondly, the steam. Oh my goodness. Steam factor is a 10 in this book. And lastly, I love, love, love strangers to lovers with a reveal. This is one of my favorite tropes. Now on to the book. He's a dad. Point. He's hot. Point. They are hot together. Point. Points points points. I needed this book and it delivered everything.

The Wrong Kind of Love is a totally sexy read from Lexi Ryan, the beginning is heart breaking and you just wanna cuddle on the couch in a big soft blanket and eat cookies do to the raw emotion written that breaks my heart. Then Lexi makes it somehow work and by the end I felt my heart was whole again.

I am torn with this book. At first glance, I really wanted to like everything about it but when I started thinking about it was difficult for me to understand the lead female character. She is a twin and in her family, she has been stepped over by her sister. To the point at the opening of the book when she is to get married and literally at the altar her sister throws up and tells her fiancé she is pregnant. But it is like her fault for the two of them sleeping together. She leaves and ends up taking the job her twin had already got in Michigan. She comes clean with the grandmother who hires her about what happens and she is okay with it and later the brother-sister knows, but after she starts falling for the father of the girl that she is watching he is upset when he finds out. I can’t tell if it is because of her or because she kept the grandmothers secret. So after the doctor dumps her this is just another string in the line of her wanting to be loved. Maybe that is what the author was trying to show with this character but really it was she always got walked over from her mother who called her sister, to leaving school for a guy, to losing other guys to her sister and her sister also majoring in her field which her twin I don’t think was even good with children. Anyway, I am middle on this book I did like the little girl whom she was watching.

Oh my gosh I really loved this book and the Jackson brothers, their sister, their mom, Nicole, Teagan Ethan’s six year old daughter Lilly and all the gossiping residents in the small town of Jackson Harbor.
This story was really special for me because of the subject of depression and all the different feelings and struggles each person with the diagnosis goes through. It doesn’t hit everyone the same way and not everyone gets suicide thoughts or hits the darkness so deep that they can’t find their way out again.
The story is about Nicole who finds out on her wedding day that her twin sister and her fiancé had an affair and she decides to go to Jackson Harbor where her sister was supposed to go. After her first night in town where she hooks up with a stranger she gets convinced to take over her sisters job and identity as nanny for Ethan’s six year old daughter Lilly. She falls in love with both the Lilly and Ethan but is Ethan still in love with his dead wife and is Nicole ready for a new relationship? And will all the lies and mistakes and also family members get in the way of their love?
Ethan is amazingly broody, handsome, sweet, protective, proud and he is beautiful person and a great father.
Nicole is a fantastic person who does everything for everyone else before she thinks of herself. She is very caring and loving and strong. She fights with depression but it doesn’t let it pull her down.
These two people just fits perfectly together.
I will definitely read the other book too.
I can definitely recommend this book.

I got this book as and ARC for free through Netgally in exchange of an honest review.

Thanks to NetGalley for the Read Now. Sadly this book did not work for me at all! Even knowing going in that her sister ends up preggers with the h's fiance, I was hoping for some redeeming qualities from the h. I still can't fathom how a sister and no less a twin could do that to her flesh and blood. The h is such a pushover, which was mostly why this book didn't work for me. In a situation such as this I needed Nicole to be a strong character with an attitude.

Nic needs a break, life keeps kicking her down. To have the people closest to her be the ones that constantly hurt her is depressing. She is desperately wanting to be part of a healthy family. To finally find people that appreciate all she has to give by being herself. And I was really impressed with her integrity and her need to always aim to be honest. Ethan is a sweetheart but all that care is hidden under this broody personality. He is so closed off to the idea of letting any woman in that he is letting life pass him by. He is wasting all his potential.

This story shows you the ugly in people controlled by their basic fears. Like Ethan's fear of being hurt again after giving his heart a chance. But Nic is perfect for him and his daughter. It's like she brings light into his world. She will teach him that love hurts but there is no reason to run from it because the reward is far greater than the risk. And he in return will bring her into the family that will love her for herself.

I absolutely loved this book and all the people in it. They felt like people not just characters in a book. That’s a really amazing talent this author has! “Lexi Ryan” delivered, what I feel, is one of her best books to date. The chemistry between the characters jumped off the pages and left me turning the pages begging for more.....a beautiful masterpiece in my opinion and I can’t wait for more. I just wish I could give this book more than the five stars I can give as it totally deserves more! I’m starting to think that this author is incapable of writing a book that I will not enjoy. Absolutely, definitely and totally recommend both this book and author to all book lovers out there, they should have a least one book by “Lexi Ryan” on their reading list.

The wrong kind of love by Lexi Ryan
Nicole’s wedding day should have been perfect but it was anything but. Hurt, humiliated and unsure of what to do, she climbs on a flight and decides to live her twin sisters life to a degree. After all, her twin sister is on Nicole’s honeymoon with her now ex-fiancé. Acting totally out of character she decides a night at a local bar is a sure way to drown her sorrows. Dr Ethan Jackson is intrigued by the beauty drinking at the bar, but he only does one night stands and from the looks of it, there is more to Nic that meets the eye. With nothing to lose, Nic decides to take the nanny job that her sister was employed to do. Little does she know, her new boss is none other than Ethan from the bar. Poor Nic gets caught up in family lies and secrets that all have a way of backfiring on her. Can what started out as disaster end up being just what Nic needed? Overall this was a wonderful story of betrayal, secrets, lies, forgiveness, illnesses, and love. I will be looking forward to reading more of the Jackson Clan.

*Thank you to Social Butterfly PR (via NetGalley) for approving my request to read this eARC, in exchange for an honest review. This is a spoiler-free review, therefore every thoughts, feelings, and opinion about this novel are solely MINE. *

This is the first novel of The Boys Of Jackson Harbor and also my first time to read the work the author, Lexi Ryan. It tells about Nic, a woman who is minutes away from getting married, and Ethan, a tall and handsome guy that Nic met at the bar one night. The moment that they met, their gaze to each other starts to blaze their surroundings. Little did Nic know that things will get more complicated with Ethan.

I like the writing style of the author and how she created this brilliant story. I love how Ms. Ryan made readers connect to her characters. It was a very touching story, full of anger, regrets, and longing. I guess my issue is the character development of Ethan. I felt that it was rushed, especially toward the few chapters. Did I mention how hot Nic and Ethan's encounter? Yup, I can definitely feel the chemistry that is about to combust! No wonder the temperature in my house burns. Who said that reading can make your ordinary hot summer day, even hotter than the sun?
RATING: 4 out of 5 stars
I have fallen in love with the characters, especially Ethan's family. I love the interactions and each scene made me feel like I was there, interacting or witnessing a scene unfolds. I definitely recommend this as a sizzling summer read!

It’s only book one and I’m in love with this series and the Jackson family! When Nic as her friends call her experiences the most humiliating thing at her wedding she runs. She grabs the only car available and heads to the airport but all she has on her belongs to her twin sister Veronica so she hops on a plane.
Ethan is exhausted but he has to meet his brothers for a meeting in his brother Jakes bar but he would rather meet with the woman having tequila shots. Nic is trying to drown her sorrows when Ethan stops a guy from hitting on her which ends up cheering her up but Ethan gets called away before she even knows his name.
Next day Ethan meets his new nanny..Nic
This story dealt with a lot of different issues and yet was fun but heartbreaking, and I am curious to see if Nic and Ethan have a continued story in any of the new books.

I found myself missing this book when I had to put it down. When I couldn't be reading it, I thought about the characters and wondered how they were doing. Now I just want to devour the rest of the series. These Jackson boys are addictive!

Nic's wedding goes sideways and she escapes to Michigan with someone else's ticket. While feeling lonely and a little drunk, she crosses paths with a brooding hottie who can't take his eyes off her. Ethan is drawn to the tipsy newcomer, but while she doesn't seem his type, he does connect to the sadness in her eyes.

I expected a frothy story line and lots of sex. What I got was so much better. On top of a delicious slow burn romance, the author layered a respectful treatment of a character living with depression, consequences of infidelity (NOT between Nic and Ethan), and the pros and cons of small town life. Nic's circle of friends and Ethan's complicated yet delightful family provided depth and humor. I felt immersed in the world of Jackson Harbor and can't wait to go back.
