HER TEXAS EX by Katherine Garbera is a great second chance romance! Cal and Amelia were high school sweethearts. The relationship ended when Amelia left to model in New York City. Cal went on to play football in college, then professional ball. Now they're both back in Last Stand Texas they're hometown! My only complaint about this story is that it's not long enough!!! I couldn't put this book down! Please give me more!

This was a well written story and I liked the characters but I felt it was different than I expected. Its alot more depressing than I imagined and it ends with a happy for now end with the next book continuing with a different couple but the custody of the child, Lane still in question.

Cal and Amelia grew up together and dated when she was 16 until she has sex with him and takes off the next day. Now years later she is back in town and Cal is back too and they heavily flirt and they get to know each other again.

The premise of the story is a bday party at the town matriarchs celebration at this event a HUGE tradegy occurs that leaves Cal's nephew parentless. The story centers on this tradegy and that makes this story extremely sad and depressing.

Even the ending really left alot of questions in the air.
