This story was beautifully written. I wish I could go back and read it again for the first time! I’m so grateful the publisher and author allowed me to read and review this novel.

I love time travel books and this one did not disappoint me. New York is always a great setting. Readers who liked The Time Traveler’s Wife will likely enjoy Time After Time.
Thanks to to the publisher and NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review it.

This was almost a DNF for me. I found the writing to be melodramatic and repetitive. Honestly, there were times when I thought it could have used a lot more editing. It also seemed to cross genres, which is fine, but the story seemed to head one direction and then change to lean toward another. My personal preference was the historical fiction aspect and that's what kept me reading. I enjoyed the details about the history of Grand Central Terminal. Once WWII began, the story became even more interesting. When it seemed to settle into science fiction, I only continued reading to see how things were going to end.

I really really wanted to love this book but I just could not get into it. What started out as very promising quickly became a little monotonous for me.

Such a charming historical romantic story! Time After Time was a delight to read. I am sure to come back to this story over and over again in the future. Nora is fascinating, to say the least.

This was the most incredible book. I am a big fan of historical fiction, and this story wove in all kinds of fascinating information about the history of New York generally and Grand Central Station specifically during the amazing period of the 1920's onward. The threads of architecture, fashion, technical expertise, medicine, romance and fantasy kept me enthralled and turning pages at an alarming rate, and thinking about this book long after I finished reading.

I thought this was a good read. The premise was really cool. I liked Nora a lot. I didn't like that added plot line of Faye. I really liked learning about the train station, I have never been there but now I would like to see it.

Time After Time is a positively enchanting book of historical fiction blended with time travel. Joe works at Grand Central Station, where he meets Nora one day in December 1937. She's dressed a bit shabbily and is somewhat disoriented so he offers to help her. She's trying to get to her home a few blocks away, but on their walk there, she disappears. Fast forward to the same day the following year and she returns. Seems this date is known as "Manhattenhenge", a solar event only occurring once a year. Joe and Nora fall in love but have to figure out how to create a life with their little time together. I don't want to give anything else away but this is a beautifully written love story. I was completely swept away.

"Infinite love in a finite space..." - what an apt and lovely description of this book. This is a different kind of time travel book, about two people who never should've met but DO meet at Grand Central Station, over and over again. Joe works there, and Nora appears there once a year, only to mysteriously disappear. Once their paths cross, their lives become entwined and their evolving love story has us rooting for them to find a way to be together always. I loved this one, evocative of the various times that it encompasses, with characters that we can root for, including interesting side characters.
My thanks to Netgalley and Random House for providing a copy for an unbiased review.

Fine, but not as good as I hoped it would be. It just dragged on FOREVER in my opinion and the ending definitely had me raising an eyebrow.

I finished this book before it's publication and for personal reasons writing a review got away from me. I thought this book had an interesting premise, but, ultimately, I did not like the main character. I thought she was self absorbed and I didn't care for the romantic pairing (and neither did she).

One bright, crisp December morning in 1937, Joe meets Nora under the gold clock 🕒 in Grand Central Terminal. He is fascinated by her and she reminds him of a brighter time before the Depression. They share some time together and he offers to walk her home. Somewhere along the way she disappears into thin air. It turns out that she is trapped between life and death after an accident in 1925 and together they will try to navigate what keeps her there.

This was just the atmospheric read that I was looking for. Not only does it provide the ever-changing backdrop of Grand Central Terminal through a span of 20+ years, it also provides such a sweet, albeit doomed from the start, love story.

I highly recommend this to any reader who needs a little bit of romance and magic added to their everyday life.

This was a little too cheesy for me. I just felt bad for Joe the entire time, because he had to sacrifice so much of his life to be with Nora. I did like meeting the young man at the end of the book, because of what it signified.

Absolutely delightful book! I loved this new take on a "time travel romance" and enjoyed learning about the history of Grand Central.

Loved the N.Y. Grand Central Station setting! Good character development, story drew me in from page 1. Can't wait to see what Lisa Grunwald writes next!!

On the face of it, Time After Time by Lisa Grunwald is a slow paced love story. It is a story that calls for the suspension of disbelief but raises very real life questions. Reading the author's note first definitely impacts my reaction to this book. This interpretation grounds the book and makes Joe and Nora's challenges relatable and turns a sweet fantasy into a surprisingly real love story.
