I read this book over a weekend, and it was an easy read. It’s a great feel good book, but you won’t be left guessing. I found the book very predictable. So much so, I could have written the ending myself. That said, if you’re looking for a cute romance novel to dive into on the beach this Summer, this book is perfect. Its a great book to relax with.

I fell in love with Jaimie’s writing when I was taking part in her book tour for ‘It’s a Wonderful Night’ last year, so as soon as she announced ‘The Little Vintage Carousel by the Sea’ and I saw the gorgeous cover made for it – I was already hooked and ready to go! Jaimie’s characters are always so likeable and memorable, that they live on in my heart months after I’ve read her stories. Ness and Nathaniel (sorry, I know he likes to be called Nathan but I love the name Nathaniel too much!) were most definitely a match made in heaven, with their clumsy and dorky personalities, you just can’t not laugh along with them! In fact, there were so many hilarious moments in this book that I found myself giggling at quite often and honestly, I don’t fully laugh at books that much! Bravo to Jaimie for making me literally laugh out loud!

The side characters also were an absolute joy to read about, with their quirky personalities, they had me giggling plenty as well. Especially Charles and Camilla, with their bladder issues – there’s nothing that makes a book better than senior’s who have been in love for years, bickering back and fourth like a proper old married couple. I was incredibly intrigued by the tale Charles and Camilla shared with Ness and Nathaniel, regarding the carousel. Who doesn’t love being told an old tale from way back in the day about two lovers and their tragedies? Count me in!

Ah, Pearlhome. What a glorious seaside town you are. Reading about this little town was an absolute dream and I can see why Ness and Nathaniel had struggling thoughts about going back to London once their time was up. It had everything you need from a seaside starting with ice-creams, a chippy, and the local pub. The carousel was a little icing on the cake to this town and if I remember correctly, I wasn’t that much of a fan of them myself as a little girl, however, that being said, after reading this book and getting to learn the ins and outs of one – I’d love to give it a spin one day!

Brilliant read especially for summer. A fairly typical love story but before we get to the ending we meet so many interesting characters and visit interesting places that they alone make it worth while. Even if you know nothing about carousels you will by the end and anyone who hasn't seen the film will be rushing to see it.

Thought it was going to be glod from the sgart and wasn't disappointed. A love ztory much like othsrs bjt the journey there and the people we meet are great. Also informative and if yku have ever een on a carousel you'll love this book too.

Ness keeps seeing the most gorgeous man on the train on her way to work so when he drops his phone she tries to chase after him but loses him in the crowd. Determined not to give up she tries to trace him through his phone contacts and when she tracks him down to Pearlholme in Yorkshire, where he is renovating an old carousel, her boss thinks it will make a great story for her magazine and sends her off up there to find him. Ness falls in love with Pearlholme.....and Nathan........ but how will he react when he finds out that Ness is using him to further her career.

Another lovely book by this author, the village and characters were great and I loved the way that Nathan and Ness reached to each other. Nathan was such a lovely character and the way he dealt with Ness's mother was brilliant and also a great story of the little carousel and it's renovation

I loved The Chateau of Happily-Ever-Afters so could not wait to read The Little Vintage Carousel by the Sea! Jaimie Admans is an incredible author.

Firstly, absolutely gorgeous cover! So vibrant, colourful and inviting – definitely stands out on bookshelves! I absolutely loved loved loved this magical book! The story is set in the wonderful seaside village of Pearlholme where we meet the very quirky and wonderfully funny residents who will make you smile and laugh all the way through. The two main characters Nathan and Ness are just the best who are just meant to be together. The story revolves around a vintage carousel and how two people fall in love – not only with each other but the village, the residents and the carousel! There was so much interesting and incredible detail with regards to the repair and restoration of the carousel .

I loved the storyline, I loved the characters, I loved the setting in Pearlholme – would love to visit and go on the carousel and meet everyone!

Who would have thought that a lost phone would bring two amazing people together and I am so very glad Nathan lost his phone! Everyone needs to read this wonderful book to find out who Train Man is and how a vintage carousel brings two wonderful perfect people together – I really hope that there is a follow up to this book as I would love to hear more about their journey together!

Another stop to Pearlholme is a must!

I Ioved this story.
The romance between the two characters was sweet and old fashioned.
It seemed to link in with the two characters from the carousel story of bygone days.
Was written in and easy to read but compelling way .
After the long hike they did I needed a si down .
All in all a sweet story well worth a read .

I enjoy this authors books more and more. I loved the unusual occupation of one of the characters and really enjoyed the whole story.

I’ve read and loved all of Jaimie Admans’ books, and while it seems impossible to choose a favourite, The Little Vintage Carousel by the Sea might just be it.

I love how relatable Ms Admans’ characters always are. I really felt for Ness and her desire for something more. She settled for a ho-hum relationship and after breaking free from that, she then settled for a ho-hum job. The job was something to pay the bills and maybe even a stepping stone to something better, plus it meant getting to work with her best friend, so it wasn’t so bad. I think a lot of us tell ourselves that - “it’s not so bad” - even when we’re miserable and desperate for change.

Enter Nathan - adorable, awkward, slightly insecure Nathan - and everything in Ness’s life changes. Nathan was just as relatable as Ness; he’d been hurt, he didn’t want to put his trust in someone else, didn’t want to fall in love again or ever be in another relationship. He absolutely broke my heart at times, but I loved how good Ness was to him and for him. And these two together...oh man...I honestly can’t remember the last time I laughed so hard. There were scenes where I literally had tears running down my face because I was laughing so hard. Their interactions were hilarious, sweet, poignant, and swoony. I loved them so much and rooted for them from beginning to end. The side characters were also fantastic, and I absolutely loved the beach setting. This book was a joy from beginning to end.

From its beautiful seaside setting to witty, quirky characters that make love stories endearing, The Little Vintage Carousel by the Sea is an ideal tale to curl up with on a perfect reading day. When a lost phone brings a young woman to the man of what she hopes to be her dreams, her steps take her to a quaint community that just may be the place she has needed all her life. Brilliant!!!

The cover attracted me to this book, it’s bright, colourful and cute. I found this book to be utterly charming - especially our leading man Nathan(iel), who sounds wonderful. I’d love to find a TrainMan like him! Ness is a great character, quirky, funny and with Nathan it’s clear to see a perfect match.

I laughed a lot throughout the book and was definitely smiling as I read their romantic tale.

A sweet read that has such likeable characters; it is a well written, feel good tale. I also loved the sound of Pearlholme; would love to return.

The Little Vintage Carousel by the Sea was such a fab, easy to read book, I loved it. I was hooked into the magic of the story and felt I was in the seaside town with Ness and Nathan. I was gutted when I’d finished the book I so didn’t want this story to end.

Jaime Adamans is a new author to me but after jumping into The Little Vintage Carousel by the Sea that is all about to change. I loved the story, I loved the characters and I really felt like I knew this little village by the sea. This was one those books that has you laughing and smiling throughout and this book came just at the right time for me after finding myself in a book funk I needed something to lift me and this story certainly did that.
Ness works as a fact checker at a London magazine, she rides the same underground train day in day out but every few days she comes across a man who intrigues her she is fascinated by the handsome stranger but what she never expected was to find herself trying to track him down by going through his phone after he dropped it in his rush to get to where ever he was going........
Ness’s work college convinces her to write a short story about the train man and that’s when the mystery begins......
This book has it all, I laughed, I giggled and at times a sighed, this cute cozy love story is a real page turner and if you love romance with the perfect mix of humour thrown in then this is a book for you.

The Little Vintage Carousel by the Sea is a great feel good 4 star slow burning romance that will really hook you in from the very beginning.
I loved how much the characters got you invested in their storyline and how well the story flows.
The characters were hilarious at times and I really enjoyed reading this book.
It's definitely a fun feel good book.

Having read previous books by this author, I was very much looking forward to reading this one, her latest release.  Also I absolutely adore/love the cover.

Well this was a truly delightful and enjoyable read. I loved it from start to finish, there were moments that just melted my heart and then there were moments that totally made me giggle. 

I really liked the character of Ness as I felt like I could totally relate to her, and our personalities are so very similar, not to mention that we share the exact same name lol. So because of that I felt as if I had a pretty close connection with Ness throughout the whole of the story.

As for the story itself, I loved the concept ot it and on the whole it was very well written, however I did think that certain parts of the story were very drawn out especially in the middle and then in other parts, come the end, it all felt a bit rushed in places.

However, I still really enjoyed reading this and I will be looking forward to her future books.

I found this book oozing with magic of the mystery carousel and loved the story that rang alongside its restoration. This is a book with a little bit of everything and who doesn't love getting swept along in a lovely romance story, who is the gorgeous train man?

If your looking for a lovely feel good read, then look no further, grab yourself a copy and get comfortable in the lovely village Pearlholme getting to know the lovely and slightly goofy Nate & Ness.

Jaimie Admans has a wonderful way of drawing you into her stories and captivating your attention until the closing sentence and this book was no different....I was pulled in hook, line and sinker and loved every moment. The sheer magic and enchantment that an old carousel laced in romantic history can bring burst out of the story line and weaved a spell on my senses and I was charmed personified and couldn't put the book down.

But what a story.....'train man' was the perfect catalyst to launch this narrative and I was reading with baited breath at the pure romance hanging in the air hoping it wouldn't all go drastically wrong and I would get my sort after happy ending. The characters gracing the pages were an absolute delight to be hold, each and everyone played their parts to perfection and welcomed me in like a warm hug so I left the story feeling like an old friend. I fell in love with the magic created between Ness and Nathan and felt their chemistry soared like a beacon of light for all those hopeless romantics out there.....aherm me!!!! But in all honesty they were a pure dream team and a roaring success and Nathan was the epitome of leading man material #dreamboat

What stood out to me was the intricate knowledge weaving its way through the narrative of carousel restoration to add that element of old time magic to the story. I did find myself cranking up the Carousel soundtrack on good old Spotify after digitally closing the final page....you just can't beat the sweeping melodies of Rogers and Hammerstein can you?

The Little Vintage Carousel by the Sea is pure escapism at its finest. I was completely lost in the magic and enchantment that this story delivered and didn't want it to end. Hats off to Jaimie on yet another roaring success.

I adore feel-good romantic love stories. I didn’t want this book to end.
It was a wonderful heart felt story full of romance and comedy.

The book starts with two strangers making eye contact and smiling at one another across a crowded London tube.

When train man drops his phone Ness leaps across to grab it and chases after him but he disappears out of sight before she can catch him. Ness tracks him down to the lovely seaside village of Pearholme. Will Ness follow her heart?

A delightful story with some funny quips and meddling, supporting characters alongside. The references to the movie sliding doors was a nice touch to the story. Ness and train man are both likeable characters. The location, the story behind the carousel and the locals make it an enjoyable story. I knew from the first few pages that I wouldn’t be able to put it down.

A lovely sweet, light hearted story, great for anytime of the year. A book to make you smile- from ear to ear. Perfect for a holiday read.

In a kind of reverse Cinderella story, Ness has been 'eyeing up' a hunky man on the metro for a while and when he drops his phone it's the perfect opportunity to speak to him - but first she has to track him down.  Following him to Pearlholme, it doesn't take long to see that they are a perfect pair however, Ness has a little secret that could ruin everything.

She has some kind of special kind of sorcery where she can take a normal, everyday setting and turn it into a captivating and enchanting place where you become fully immersed and never want to leave.  This time, our fairytale takes place on the Yorkshire Coast in the picturesque town of Pearlholme with it's pretty cottages and what's more romantic than a mysterious vintage carousel on the beach?

Of course in such a magical place you meet wonderful people too.  Ness and Nathan are both delightful characters and the locals are just wonderfully hilarious.  I often found myself chuckling out loud - so much innuendo! 

If you're looking for a heartwarming read for the beach, garden or just anywhere you want to park yourself - this is it!

Vanessa (Ness) has been trading warm smiles for a while with the gorgeous chap that she nicknamed ‘The Man on the Train’ whenever she sees him on her daily commute. Then one morning he accidentally drops his phone on exiting. Ness picks it up and follows but cannot catch up with him. This ‘glass slipper’ moment eventually leads Ness to the Yorkshire village of Pearlholme where her mystery man is restoring a vintage carousel by the sea.

It’s a good sign when a book has me laughing from the opening page. Having lived and worked in London for some years I could totally relate to Ness’ Tube commute nightmare.

This was a charming romantic comedy. Of course, there are enough obstacles and misunderstandings to add some tension to the story. There are also great supporting characters, who were a little larger than life, and had me giggling.

I freely admit that I am not a big reader of romantic comedy though I have friends who are. I feel that it is good for me to have the occasional break from the thrillers and crime fiction that I favour and also it’s nice to be able to share recommendations with those friends.

Certainly I will be recommending this book and author and perhaps will dip into some of her other titles given how much I enjoyed reading this.
