Very nice book to help one heal from whatever they need healing from or help with healing from. I liked the way it was broken down and it was very easy to read. Thanks to NetGalley, the author and the publisher for the ARC of this book in return for my honest review. Recieving the book in this manner had no bearing on this review.

This devotional is exactly what I needed to find inner peace and healing from past traumas that have kept me captives for decades.

"Healing Every Day" by Mary DeMuth is a 90 day devotional book. This 90 day devotional uses stories , scripture and practical insights. It helps the reader see their situation from God's perspective . It give the reader insights to look to God in the midst of their troubles. This book will give the reader a new way to see the world and their own life. It is practical and so personable. This book will help the reader move forward with a positive view on their life. Thank you to Harvest House and netgalley for allowing me to read and review this book. I am not obligated to give a positive review.

DeMuth’s writing is clear, strong and heartfelt. Each day has a short bible verse, a short reflection and a simple prayer. It is just the right length for a 10-15 minute quiet time. Healing Every Day is designed as a 90 day devotional for healing. I believe the reader will get more out of it, reading just one devotional at a time.

As an abuse survivor, DeMuth knows the difficulty of healing and suggests the reader finds a supportive community. Unlike many other “I survived this” books, this book focuses on the reader and their pain, not the writer. DeMuth is okay with being in the wilderness at times. We are never forsaken, nor should we expect easy paths. Whether in reflection, questions, or prayer, DeMuth is honest and open. Like all true healers, she asks hard questions, allowing the reader to do so too.

There are seasons when broken people need professional help. There are also seasons where a lovely heartfelt devotional and a friend bring about healing. I’d buy this book for a hurting friend and schedule times to listen to them.

Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for providing an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I was not expecting this to make such a profound effect on me. I have only been using since May. I suggest it to people looking for answers to fracture lives for many different reasons.

Healing Every Day is a 90 day journey through Scripture aimed at anyone who is on a journey of healing from loss or trauma. It focuses on Scriptures that have been particularly significant to Mary DeMuth in her own journey of healing, and it uses texts from each book of the Bible, showing how God’s heart for the broken and power to heal are revealed through the whole of Scripture.
Each day’s reading consists of a few verses of Scripture, a short devotional thought and a prayer, so it can be completed in around five minutes, though of course you may want to take more time to reflect and pray. It is full of wisdom and encouragement – both from Scripture and from someone who has walked a long, hard journey of healing and gained valuable insights along the way. I'd highly recommend it to people who are on a journey of seeking healing.

I have read a few other books by Mary DeMuth and appreciated them. I can't say I loved them because they deal with such harsh topics that I can, sadly, relate to in my own life. I do really appreciate the insight, wisdom, and scripture based testimony as well as research based testimony Mary tends to balance her books with. This one in particular I think would be great to give someone you know is going through the muck of a hard experience with small chunks of devotions and wisdom.

This did not connect in quite the way I had hoped. The bible stories illustrated the examples very well but I had a difficult time relating them to my own experience. I think this would be better for someone who is more rooted in Christianity. It didn't resonate with me.

Very helpful and well-written set of daily devotionals. Excellent resource for those going through a tough time and needing to heal and emotionally and spiritually rebound.
