This group of Seals are assigned an undercover job to take down a drug cartel. Anya is the veterinarian who cares for the animals on the ranch the Seals are running. Where they found such a multifaceted group is a mystery. The romance is challenging for both Anya and Stryker, as she is inexperienced and he has been hurt. The danger of their mission adds to the complications. The other group members leave plenty of room for future books and to continue the mission. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
A Seal Never Quits, is an awesome book to start this series. I wondered how they were going to make it into a series. I am not disappointed.
I received an arc from NetGalley and this is my honest opinion. This SEAL series will definitely be on my reading list material. I loved the instant attraction between Stryker and Anya and the suspense and action in this book. Taken down a drug cartel is a big deal but keeping your mission secret from the one you love could be tragic.
These two will capture your heart in this book. Can’t wait to hear Phantoms story with Elena.
A Seal Never Quits by Holly Castillo features an alpha male hero deluxe—a Navy SEAL named Stryker—and Anya, a small-town veterinarian. Their chemistry is excellent and Styker’s journey to opening himself up to love is nice. Most exception is that Anya is no shrinking violet heroine. I won’t give any spoilers, but she can think on her feet. It's quick, enjoyable read.
This was a complimentary copy from netgalley - thank you
I have read some Holly Castillo work previously so that pleased to be approved to read this - this is the first in a series and will definitely be searching out the rest of the series
If you like your romances with the added spice of a little mystery - this is for you
Loved it - would highly recommend
Great story. Lots of action. Both suspenseful and romantic! Looking forward to the next in the series.
Things I enjoyed about this book :
The seal team
The mission
The setting
The mystery.
Things I didn’t enjoy: honestly, the romance. Stryker was likeable. Anya wasn’t really. I would read the second though because the intrigue was good. Thank you to netgalley for the ARC.
The “love story” in this book is extremely sappy and a little pathetic at times and it was so frustrating reading two strong independent characters develop such an obnoxious obsession for each other to where the female character Anya just becomes annoying. Honestly I may have given up or struggled my way through it If not for the bigger story and the SEALs mission. The suspense and action part of the book is on point and kept me reading through the night last night. I’m really into the bigger story and am dying to read the second book and find out more about who all the players are behind the Scorpions. I just hope to have more depth to the female character in the next book.
I was given a copy of this book by netgalley for an honest review
A Seal Never Quits is a different type of seal romance. It is set in Texas. This is an odd setting for a seal book but it works. This is the first book is this series and I enjoyed both the setting and the characters. I will read the next book in this series and will be watching for it
A SEAL NEVER QUITS by Holly Castillo is a very different Seal story! Navy Seals in Texas! This is the first book in a new series and I can't wait for the second! There's lots of action and suspense in this story.
I received a copy of A SEAL Never Quits by Holly Castillo from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
This was the first novel by Holly Castillo that I had read and overall, it missed the mark for me. I like the author's style of writing and felt that the plot should have been interesting given the story's summary, but the plot wasn't evenly paced and Anya, the female main character, was kind of boring and just weakly fleshed out. She was so dishwater bland that I just couldn't see her appeal and didn't see why Stryker, the main male character, would be drawn to her.
I'd give A SEAL Never Quits by Holly Castillo 3 stars.

This is ridiculous stupid, and I don't care to read anymore. Since when do SEALs operate on a ranch in the middle of the United States.
I liked Stryker and Anya’s story. I also liked the rest of Stryker’s team. I can tell this is going to be a great series. There was a lot of action and build up in this story. One thing I didn't like was how predictable it was at times. Anya and Stryker’s chemistry was present and off the charts. Definitely recommend.
