This is a story about Issy, who inherited a love of baking from her Grandpa. Issy decides to open her own cupcake cafe! It is far from easy, as she soon discovers. A fun and quick read!
Thanks to Netgalley, the author and publisher for a copy of this book in exchange for a fair and honest review.

In typical Colgan style, this book made me want to pack up everything and open my own little bakery - I had the same feelings reading The Little Beach Street Bakery books! I really enjoyed the quaintness of the story and the characters were really likable. I think the thing that bothered me the most was the switching back and forth between characters but it wasn't a deal breaker. I highly recommend this Colgan book to everyone but be warned, it will make you hungry!

Thanks for the opportunity to read and review this title.

This was a nice, simple book that kept me cozy on a weekend afternoon. I will definitely be recommending and also looking out for more titles by this author.

A light and cozy read perfect for beach bags or winter reading by a fire. Sweet not only for its recipes, but for the heartwarming and inspiring story of a young British baker. When her position is made redundant, she takes a risk and opens her own bakery.

While Meet Me at Cupcake Cafe isn't as good as coffee with a friend, reading it may just give you the same happy feeling. Fans of Emily Griffin may also enjoy Jenny Colgan.

I was fortunate to receive a free ARC of this book from Netgalley. The above thoughts, insights, or recommendations are my own meek musings.

A cute story, great for fans of light, funny reads! Starting over reads are always fun, and I enjoy seeing what a character will end up doing, how they handle the situation, and what the end result is!

I was able to read this book thanks to NetGalley. I absolutely adored it. Issy is a baker who makes a decision to leave her city job and open up a cafe. I loved the entire feel of this book along with all of the characters. It was the perfect story to read inside on a rainy day and it put me in a great mood. I will be recommending this one to all of my friends.

I fell in love with Issy and the Cupcake Café! What a wonderful tale of how a young woman discovers herself and her strength. You will be cheering her on and trying to talk her out of her bad decisions. There is a wide array of characters with an abundance of personalities ... some you’ll love and others you’ll despise. But the ones you love will find themselves burrowing into your heart. And you will chuckle as you read Louis’ speech as if you could hear him saying the words out loud!

Just a fun read that will leave you with a heartwarming feeling.

Thank you to NetGalley for an ARC in exchange for my honest review. I am a huge fan of Jenny Colgan and this series!

I love to bake. I thought this would be a sweet book with fun recipes. An easy read. It took me months to get through it. I picked it up because I had heard of this author quite a few times. I attempted to read the ebook I received and barely made it through the first chapter. For months. The main character, Issy introduces her family and to be honest...I didn't care. Finally I got the audio version and forced myself to finish on car rides.

Issy loses her job (and her jerk of a boyfriend) and decides to open a bakery. So she does. And it is a hit! She even finds the love of her life. She picks the perfect staff. She has wonderful friends. Everything works out for her. That is what I actually expected, picking up a book with a title and cover that looks like this one...but I just wasn't interested. It was beyond unrealistic.

If a stranger ever dared stick a knife in my child's mouth-especially without even telling me why-they would be tackled to the ground. The police would be called. I would not thank a stranger for CUTTING MY CHILD"S GUMS.

This was such a fun story, one that left me smiling and craving a cupcake. I love Women's Fiction, mainly because though there may be a romance of sorts, they're ultimately the heroine's personal journey. Meet Me at the Cupcake Cafe was also a story of friendship, and that's where it truly shined for me. I loved that Issy found such deep and strong friendships in the women around her. These were the women who helped keep her afloat when she was down. When the business struggled, and when she struggled with the men in her life, Issy always had her friends.

A story about finding one's self and friendship, and a slew of delicious recipes, Meet Me at the Cupcake Cafe is cute; is a story that left me with a smile on my face, and a strong sweet tooth!

This was a sweet little chik-lit book with the extra bonus of lots of recipes thrown in. Issy has lost her job and her boyfriend and is struggling to decide what to do with her life. Her beloved grandfather who had raised her had been a baker and had taught her to bake at a young age. So so decides to open a small cafe that specializes in cupcakes and other sweet deserts. The book follows her struggles to make a success of her new business and to find a new love. Is she successful in either endeavor? You'll have to read the book to find out! Its a sweet little read, not too deep but a lot fun to read.

I really enjoyed this cute story following Issy from losing her boyfriend and her job to chasing her dreams and opening up her own cupcake cafe. The characters were funny and enjoyable. I also enjoyed the aspect of Issy's relationship with her grandfather. This was a nice story of overcoming obstacles and chasing one's dream.

A fun witty story with a delightful main character. When Issy decides to open her own bakery, she has no idea of the challenges that lay before her, or the magical experience that awaits her. Highly recommend.

I like reading Jenny Colgan's books. I'm not her #1 fan but her stories are entertaining. This one was good too. Issy is a likeable character who, after losing her job and boyfriend, opens up her own café. Predictable at times but a sweet read.

Issues grew up with her grandfather and his bakery. She has an office job and a secret relationship with her boss. She bakes for fun.

When she looses her job and boyfriend, she decides to take a chance on opening her own bakery.

Her grandfather sends her his favorite recipes, sprinkled with adorable notes in the margins.
You can tell who baking is love to this family.

It’s sweet watching Issy discover her dream and trying to achieve it.
I liked the side characters but there were possibly too many of them. I couldn’t keep some of them straight.
Also, Issy’s ex was definitely a jerk and so I didn’t much enjoy the time devoted to his perspective.

Cute story.
I got to read an ebook copy from NetGalley. Thanks!

Very sweet book with awesome recipes peppered in.
Synopsis: Izzy Randall loves to bake. She has learned how to from her beloved Grandpa Joe. He use to own three bakeries until he had to get rid of them when he retired. She is laid off from her city office job and opens her own cafe.
This a great light read, with romance and funny moments. Who will she choose to fall in love with? Will her small business make it? Does the "do what you love and the money will follow" saying work in real life? I found my self rooting for her and her friends to make it work. Great beach read.

Thank you to NetGalley for the advanced reader copy in exchange for an honest review.
