Good art. The story was just OK. It's part of some concept album by an artist I've never heard of. Those don't ever tend to be that well written.

'Kid Noize 1: The Man with the Monkey Face' by Kid Noize and Kid Toussaint with art by Otocto is a graphic novel about a young boy and his encounters with an alternate universe.

Kid Noize is a courier in a 1977 Mustang. Sam is a boy who lost his mother and is trying to make things work in a new school. They team to find a lost package.

I liked the characters and idea of this more than the execution. The art is good and there is a good concept here. It just didn't fully work for me.

A fun read about a monkey-faced man named Kid Noize who is part of an organization that delivers mysterious packages to kids. He seems to be into all things retro and is a huge goofball. The art and illustrations were intriguing and well done and the story was light, but engaging. The concept behind the boxes and the organization that Kid Noize belongs to was the most interesting to me.

The title of this volume of this graphic novel is ‘The Man with the Monkey Face’. The cover is an intriguing figure with the face of a monkey. Nothing about the cover or title really prepares the reader for the delight that can be found in the pages of the story. Rather low-key, fantasy/sci-fi-ish, it’s actually a story of hope and dreams, and a unique delivery system. It’s not too long, and the artwork is lovely. The story could almost be a one-off, but there is hope given that there could be more in store for our erstwhile delivery man and his offbeat world that we will have the opportunity to experience. It’s not too deep, and not life-changing, but it’s a good read made a special enjoyment because of the lavish artwork. I’m hoping I get the chance to read the next in the series!

I didn't have any expectations going in to reading this book, and was happily surprised! I liked the concept a lot and the art is really lush and vibrant. I feel like there's more to it than just this book, so I'm excited for more!

A fun, imaginative romp though dimensions that will appeal to both teens and adults. The art is of a modern-classic comics style that is easy to read and detailed without being distracting. Loved the attention to detail with the gutter embellishments on the pages set in the alternate dimension/world. Speaking of design: titular Kid Noize's character design in particular is so stinking cool and he oozes 80's super-likable reluctant hero style all over the page. Not only will I be recommending that my library picks this one up, but I'm looking forward to buying a personal copy for my own collection!

Surely the daftest, messiest vanity comic title for any pop act. Even Kiss comics make sense compared to this garbage.

This was a quick little read. The pace was well done and I loved the plot. Awesome art style. The sarcastic dog and Kid Noize's references were hilarious. He even mentions VHS tapes it was great.

Interesting graphic novel featuring the DJ Kid Noize who is actually a DJ/ musician in real life.

Kid Noize lives in an alternate reality and comes into our world to give boxes to children. The boxes help the child achieve their dreams. Kid Noize needs to deliver a box to a young boy who has just lost his mother, moved to a new town and has encountered school bullies but Kid Noize loses the box and fluffs the delivery. Can he rectify his mistakes?

The story was ok with an interesting alternate reality. I wanted to know much more about that. The artwork was great with lovely bright colours. I enjoyed the story but it felt like an introduction. I hope there is more to come.

Kid Noize is a heartfelt look at holding onto your dreams when times get tough. We follow a kid whose life has just been upended. He’s struggling to fit in with his new surroundings and is quickly forgetting the direction his life should be heading in. Alternatively, we have Kid Noize, a courier who is a mix between a monkey and a human. He’s a fascinating character, fueled by 80s nostalgia, a questionable work ethic, and a big heart.

The story is a pretty interesting concept. People hit troubled times and they forget the direction their life was headed. They take paths they weren’t meant to and end up with lives filled with regret. This alternate reality provides the inspiration to overcome their struggles and return them to the life they were meant for. These missions to the human world are taken very seriously and many are a matter of life or death. It makes you think about your own life and which paths you might have missed along the way. It’s unclear what exactly this alternate world is, but it seems like an awesome place. It’s especially noteworthy that we get a talking dog as a sidekick, completely reminiscent of Frank from Men in Black.

I loved the artwork. It’s a more animated style filled with intricate details and 80s nostalgia done right. We get a Back to the Future vibe from the entrance to the human world, in addition to a number of everyday artifacts. There’s a bit of an ominous feel at times and the cliffhanger adds a surprising twist to an otherwise uplifting story.

Kid Noize is a quick story that excites and entertains. Expect adventure, an epic alternate reality, and sarcastic jokes from a grumpy bulldog.

The best thing about this book is the art and colors. Every frame has beautiful characters and is amazingly descriptive. The characters and jokes, in general, are quite funny and generally land. The story is interesting enough and has a heartwarming moral. The weakest part for me was the dialogue between the characters. Other than that I loved that the comic related was related to a song by Kid Noize, the DJ.

Some fairly heavy-handed preaching in the end, a handful of disjointed and/or busy text, and a somewhat rushed /predictable/unsatisfying ending, but otherwise a fun read. I’ll definitely be checking out the music of Kid Noize.

The idea of this is good, characters are interesting, at least some of them for sure. But the overall result is not as satisfying as I expected. I don't like his music, but I saw some of his videos so I knew exactly about what this is going to be and really, nothing you need to read. But okay, it's nice to read when you have nothing else to look at, it is funny a little, with a message "we all can make our dreams come true", but don't expect anything deeper. Just quick, funny ride. I'll definitely look at next comics if there will be any.

So awesome! Kid Noize is a deliverer of dreams, but that's just his side gig. He really wants to DJ and sends his mixes to Charlie Kong Radio, so he doesn't think it's a big deal when he missed delivering a box to Sam, whose mother died and i getting moved across the country. Sam's life is going down the tubes and that box was going to give Sam hope. Now Sam and Kid Noize must team up to save more than just Sam's dreams.

The style of Kid Noize is great, and I love that it makes everything seem very real and awesome. Definitely recommending this to students and friends!
