Like other books in this series, it is a fun little introduction to inspiring people. Definitely a great way to introduce kids to biographies and a nice read for adults too. I would recommend all the books in this series.

The Little People Big Dreams series are always great, and I'd always happily recommend any and all of them to customers. I'm yet to find one I don't like and they offer a great introduction to some fascinating people for kids (and in some cases adults too!).

Vivienne Westwood is a unique role model for young women everywhere. She dared to be different in the world of fashion and inspired and empowered others to stand up for what they believe in, even if they are standing alone. I loved this addition to the Little People, Big Dreams series and will continue to check out these books as they are released. This series opens the eyes of young people to the world around them and to the lives of inspiring individuals they may not have otherwise heard of.

This is the review I posted on Goodreads, but it is very succinct so I am adding this long-winded introduction in the hope that I reach 100 characters: Perfect primer for punk couture’s queen.

Perfect book for children (and adults) who need a bit of inspiration. To see someone journey in a simple way has given my daughter drive to reach for what she wants in life and to figure out how to get there. To read about a strong female designer has been such a great read.

I love Vivienne Westwood, for her revolutionary role in fashion and her outstanding creative oomph. This book offers a short yet comprehensive insight into her works and personality. It suits well anyone interested to have a better background information about the fashion designer and to understand her works more than colourful and unique pieces of clothing. It suits a wide range of readers, both in terms of educational background and age.

I had a chance to look at Vivienne Westwood’s book but I am not sure what went wrong with my downloaded ARC that I could not see the text. Since this is an eARC, and only happened (looks like, to me), I have reported the issue to NetGalley. But I did include this here since I could see the illustrations (no text – that was the issue) and they were brilliant and told me a story I could follow 🙂 A picture does tell a thousand words..

Disclaimer: Thank you to NetGalley and Quarto Publishing Group (Frances Lincoln Children’s Books) for the eARCs of the above books All reviews include my honest opinions of the books.

Love these books, as they are interactive, not just straight reading. Very fun and very educational!

This is another great book to add to the Little People, Big Dreams collection!

I love this series as they are perfect introductions to young people about some of the most famous and influential people from our past, and present in the case of this book.

4 stars from me for this one, very highly recommended and can't wait for my daughter to get involved in the series

Oh, no, I really wanted to like this one because I adore Vivienne Westwood... however the story felt rushed and the illustrations were not impressive. The cover is great, but the rest of the art style just isn't where I wanted it to be...

Another iconic figure is given the 'Little People,Big Dreams ' treatment by Isabel Sanchez Begara and man does this never get old!
Me and my littlest,Florence, are always happiest when reading and she loves these sturdy, brightly coloured biographies which educate, inform but never patronise.
We love the colours, the cover cartoons, the feel of them, the whole shebang so to learn about someone who Florence highly rates-she LOVES fashion and design!-and with guided reading for more exploration these are bookish rabbit holes we are happy to get lost in!
It's a loud and enthusiastic 'MORE PLEASE!' from us!

I have enjoyed every book in this series. Sadly, this one did not reproduce properly when I tried to open it.

Another wonderful edition in the Little People Big Dreams series, depicting the life of Vivienne Westwood through bright pictures and an easy to read story format. I love this little series and have a learnt a lot from it. It would be a great place to start when teaching about writing a biography or autobiography, particularly if linked to a unit of work on textiles or changing fashions.

The Little People, Big Dreams is one of my favorite biography series to recommend to young readers. This Vivienne Westwood biography is very cute, informative and packed with vibrant illustrations. Can't wait to read the next book in this series.

One of the best series to come out of KidLit in the last few years is ‘Little People, BIG DREAMS.’ While most nonfiction books for children typically pick well know historical figures as their subjects, LPBD highlights Women, People of Color, Scientists, and Artists.

The latest in the series, 'Vivienne Westwood,' does not disappoint. I knew of Westwood before reading this picture book, however, while I already appreciated her rebel rousing in the fashion world, I had no idea how revolutionary she had been as a child.

The story, so beautifully illustrated in bright & bold colors that Westwood herself would absolutely approve of, shows the reader what an innovator she has been her entire life – in fashion and in standing up for others. You can’t help but cheer her on from the very first page.

Do not hesitate to share this book with the young ones in your life; there is so much to be gleaned from Vivienne Westwood.

Thank You to NetGalley and Quarto Publishing Group/Frances Lincoln Children's Books for the digital copy of this book!

Personally, as an adult, I adore "Vivienne Westwood" from the "Little People, Big Dreams" series. I have always adored her bold and pioneering designs and creativity but I didn't know much about her background and story.. This book, hence, a fun and enjoyable read.

The style of the illustrations in this book is quite different than that of the other books in the series. The colors and the artworks are as carefree and confident as Vivienne Westwood herself.

Westwood's supports for environment conservation and her outspoken spirits to standing up for the outsiders showcase her "big dreams" and determination could help to make a difference in the world. The positive message, though, is slightly vague and understated because majority of pages focus on her accomplishments as a fashion designer. Regardless, "Vivienne Westwood" still makes a great addition to the series.

'Vivienne Westwood' by Isabel Sanchez Vegara with illustrations by Laura Callaghan is part of the Little People, BIG DREAMS series of board books for little readers.

Vivienne Westwood was born in England to a family of shoemakers, but she became interested in art and fashion. Her odd designs were favored by famous punk bands and her later fashions focused on sustainable clothing in the face of climate change.

This is a short book, but features a person who wasn't afraid to upend things for art and activism. I liked the illustrations, but not as much as in some volumes. The book ends with a timeline about Vivienne's life.

I received a review copy of this ebook from Quarto Publishing Group - Frances Lincoln Childrens, and NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. Thank you for allowing me to review this ebook.

It's a great picture book about an interesting fashion designer who dared to be different and make a stand, which is also an important message to young kids.
