A Great cozy mystery book containing all of my favorite - cat, library, murder and a ghost. Page turner enveloping the reader until the very end.

Buried in the Stacks is the third installment of A Haunted Library Mystery. Librarian Carrie Singleton gets involved with the establishment of a day-time Haven for the homeless. Little does she know that soon she will be solving two murders one of which is the Evelyn, the resident library ghost.

Aunt Evelyn who was murdered six years ago along with Carrie and her cat Smoky Joe are hot on the trail of a murderer and the ending will shock you.

Description

"Librarian Carrie Singleton is building a haven, but one of her neighbors is misbehavin'. Can resident spirit Evelyn help Carrie catch the culprit who made her a ghost?
In winter, the Haunted Library is a refuge for homeless townspeople. When a group purchases a vacant house to establish a daytime haven for the homeless, Carrie offers the library as a meeting place for the Haven House committee, but quickly learns that it may be used for illegal activities.
As the new Sunshine Delegate, Carrie heads to the hospital to visit her cantankerous colleague, Dorothy, who had fallen outside the local supermarket. She tells Carrie that her husband tried to kill her--and that he murdered her Aunt Evelyn, the library's resident ghost, six years earlier."

This was my first visit to Clover Ridge and i have to say i enjoyed meeting Carrie, Evelyn, Smokey Joe and many of the other residents. An easy to read cozy mystery with well developed and diverse characters to keep the interest going. (I did not guess the guilty party until the final reveal (that's always an important consideration for my final rating). The only negative thing that occuŕred to me, was the rather high number of unpleasant inhabitants in the town. Overall, if you enjoy cozy mysteries and need an enjoyable quick read that is easy to put down and pick up again without losing the plot, this is one that should fit the bill nicely.
