This novel was my first K.A. Tucker novel and it did not disappoint. I will be purchasing and requesting all Tucker novels from here on out.

Say You Still Love Me was the perfect 'End of Summer read'. It was full of chemistry, promise, persistence, heartbreak and empowerment. I am such a sucker for a good love story and this hit me in all the feels.

We learn about two teenagers who first meet each other at Camp Wawa. A camp for children to stay in bunkhouses and learn all about the outdoors. Piper, who comes from a wealthy family and Kyle, who has come from just about nothing are camp counselors. On their first day, is when they both found that ‘love at first sight’ is truly a real experience.

Fast forward 13 years after Kyle broke Piper’s heart. Their paths cross again as she is a wealthy business woman working in her father’s company. She is walking out of work one day and knew she recognized this handsome man that is walking out right in front of her. But where does she know him from? Oh, yes. Camp Wawa. To her surprise, he just accepted a job at the same company as a security guard.

This story was so fun for me to read. I loved every part of this book and it easily reminds me of how much a person will go for the person they love. I also really enjoyed how much Tucker took Piper’s character and enhanced on female empowerment. Piper is next in line to run her father’s company and some of the men are not exactly happy with that decision. She wrote Piper to be tough, hard when it comes to her work and even tougher when it comes to her relationships in life. And that is something you don’t get to read about very often.

So yes, I thrive for a great love story that was shared for Piper and Kyle but I really love how empowering Piper became when stepping up to her doubters. I highly recommend this novel if you want to enjoy the perfect love story.

I was rather impressed by this book. I have never read KA Tucker, but I am officially a fan. It wasn't what I expected. I will definitely be checking out her back log and picking up her new releases in the future!

Three stars: A romance that was lacking. I never felt the thrills with this reverse Cinderella type story.

At sixteen, Piper Calloway is rich and privileged, but she is spending her summer as a camp counselor in a small summer camp. This isn’t Piper’s idea of an ideal summer, but her mother wanted Piper to go because she thought it would look good on college applications, and Piper’s mom is a little nostalgic for the camp she once attended. Piper is hoping she will making it through the summer without dying of boredom. Then something unexpected happens. Piper catches the eye of the hottest guy at camp, and sparks fly. What follows is a whirlwind summer of romance between two teenage kids. One from the wrong side of the tracks and one from a world of wealth and privilege. Then disaster strikes and the two are parted, until they meet up again thirteen years later. At twenty nine, Piper is in place to take over her father’s company. Her path is set until the firm hires a new security guard....
What I Liked:
*Ms. Tucker is known for her dramatic romances, and this one is no exception. Think rich girl meets boy from the wrong side of the track. Sweet romance, tragedy and heartbreak follow, and then thirteen years later, their paths once again cross. If you like romances with a touch of drama, this is one to read.
*The story moves back and forth in time from present day back to 2006 when Piper and Kyle worked as camp counselors. I was pleased to find that I was soon invested in each time line, and I found myself eager to see what was going to happen in both the past and the present. Often times, I find myself attached to one time period more than another, but that, thankfully, wasn’t the case with this book.
*I appreciated the friendships formed between Piper and two of the girls at summer camp. At first, I didn’t think Piper was going to fit in and make friends, but surprisingly she forms bonds with two girls, and the friendships last right up until present day. I especially liked that uptight Christa turned out be a solid friend.
*I was pleased to see the way things settled out with Piper and her ex fiancé. It was rather refreshing and nice to get a positive twist.
*I must admit, I wasn’t a huge fan of Kyle. I struggled with his character. However, I was happy to see that I was wrong about him. I loved that he stepped up and did the right thing several times.
*One of the highlights of the book for me was when Piper stuck it to the big wig who was trying to cut a shady deal. It’s alway nice to see a women take down a good old boy in the corporate world.
*The end was sweet and satisfying. Things settle out and conclude on a nice, pleasant note.
And The Not So Much:
*The romance in this one never grabbed me. I don’t know what it was, but I just never quite fell into the whole bad boy/ good girl romance. First off, it is a complete insta love situation. Second, I just didn’t think that bad boy Kyle would fall head over heels like he did, I never bought it. Third, this is petty, but I was totally grossed out by Piper making out with Kyle after he smoked, it didn’t fit her good girl personality. The romance felt like insta love, with a heaping dose of teenage hormones on top. I thought it lacked depth and emotion. It worked better as adults, but I just never was invested.

Say You Still Love Me was a book I wanted to love, but the romance fell flat on its butt for me. I didn’t like the insta love/teenage lust aspect. It moved too fast to be believable. It worked better in present day, but not enough to salvage it. Luckily, there were other parts to enjoy such as Piper sticking it to the good old boy, the friendships and the turn around by the ex fiancé. This one doesn’t live up to the high standard Ms. Tucker has set with her previous novels, but true fans will likely enjoy it.

I received a copy of this book from the publisher in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own, and I was not compensated for this review.

Omg! I loved this book! K.A. Tucker is becoming my new favorite author! I loved it from start to finish. I enjoyed the characters and plot. I did not see the end coming and sent me for a loop at first. I love the cover too! As soon as I seen this book, I knew I needed to read it! It had that blend of ya and adult fiction with the then and now stories.

Say You Still Love Me was a great second chance romance! I love K.A. Tucker’s writing and always have. She writes contemporary and suspense and her books often have a few layers, so it was hard to really tell what direction this would take. Sure, it has a contemporary romance cover, but it could easily be a bit of a suspense depending on why her first love from camp came back into her life.

I loved getting the camp flashbacks because we got to fall in love with Kyle when she did at camp, but also piece together what happened to make them lose touch. It was fun and I also loved seeing how Piper formed friendships with her roommates at camp since they were all such different people.

My only real complaint is that I dislike characters like Piper and the name kind of gave away that she’d be a little bit a privileged brat who, despite her efforts, can’t seem to really understand the struggle of those below her class. In that regard, she was naive and frustrating. I both wanted her to put Kyle at an arms length in case he couldn’t be trusted, but also to understand why he couldn’t just waltz up and declare his love because she came from a pretty powerful family and he was barely making ends meet.

Still, I think maybe that’s kind of the point of her character and the book did explore all of those avenues. I had fun with the story. Definitely recommend to fans of contemporary romance, especially second chance romance. It’s never a disappointment when you pick up a K.A. Tucker book! She’s one of my favorite contemporary authors.

K. A. Tucker is a favorite for romance readers seeking an emotional and sexy novel. Say You Still Love Me is a brilliantly written second chance romance with alternating chapters between the past and present. The novel follows the story of Piper and Kyle that is full of love, tragedy, heartbreak, and hope. This novel is another solid read for K. A. Tucker fans.

Say You Still Love Me is the perfect end-of-summer read. It's a book about summer (partly), but it's a summer of the past, so the summer scenes are misted with nostalgia. These scenes were my favorite, because I spent many summers in the woods as well. And while my adventures were nowhere near as steamy as Piper's, I, too, have fond memories of those weeks away from real life. I love that the friends Piper made in the past have stayed with her in the present.

I struggled with Piper Present in the beginning. She was just so ... wallowy. (Is that a word?) She was supposed to be this rockstar #girlboss, and all her thoughts were just stuck and stuck on this guy, and not on all the work drama going on around her. Luckily, that shifted as the book went on and she did end up rocking the office situation.

I was completely floored by the reveal at the end -- did NOT see that coming! It seemed super dramatic and I don't know that things needed to be that serious, but I understand that it had to be something big that Piper discovered at that time.

This was my first K.A. Tucker book, and after reading it I am interested in picking up another one of her titles, whether past or future.

Say You Still Love Me was my first novel by K.A. Tucker and it definitely lived up to the hype. This book was the perfect amount of emotional and sweet, while still having a completely badass female lead and feeling realistic. I loved that it also turned the billionaire trope around since Piper is the one who has money AND is taking over the family business.

The story is told in alternating chapters between Camp Wawa in 2006 and present day Lennox. It's not the best I've ever seen flashbacks written so it can feel a little bit like two different stories, but I enjoyed both of them so much that I didn't mind. It kept me turning the pages because I wanted to know how things would turn out in each timeline.

I loved this book and the only thing I could've possibly asked for from it was more. I want to read Kyle's POV. I want to read more stories set in this world with these characters: Ashley, Krista, Piper, Kyle, and Eric. I want to know what happened to Kyle and Piper after the story ended, I want to read so much more from K.A. Tucker

Thanks to Atria books and Netgalley for the copy in exchange for an honest review.

I really, really liked this one! The summer camp vibes were all kinds of perfect and the jumps between past and present propelled the story forward instead of holding it back. I loved their young-love and I think we can all relate to that. I would have liked a bit more heat when it came to them finding each other again as adults, but that doesn't affect my rating. Overall, I will be recommending this one to lots of girlfriends and I'm sure they'll all love it, too.

I want to read all of K.A. Tucker's books. Seriously.... I loved the three I have already read and this one is no different. I love how she draws vibrant and realistic characters, that you love or despise depending on the relationship they have with the main characters... Not a lot of people know this, but I read Keep Her Safe while pregnant with my son. I loved the main character so much that I name my son after him!

Kyle is really special to me too. He made me think of an old boyfriend (his past self as much as his present self)... And that's not why I jumped into that story. K.A. Tucker knows how to captivate her readers, and I LOVE IT.

Thank you so so much to Simon & Schuster Canada for my complimentary e-copy of this book through NetGalley. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

I liked this book but it didn’t grab me like all her other ones did.

K.A. Tucker is one of my favorite authors. Her Ten Tiny Breaths series and The Simple Wild are my favorites. She writes contemporary so well. I am always excited when I get to read a new book from her.

For some reason this just felt off. I haven’t been in the mood for contemporary lately so I do believe this was a case of the “It’s not you, it’s me,” reaction. While it was a good story, I wasn’t pulled in like her books usually do to me. The romance was sweet but a very, VERY slow burn.

The book is set up as a then and now, which I’m not really a fan. Again, it’s all on me. The past seemed to be more exciting than the current, so I had a hard time trying to stay engaged.

Not that 3 stars is bad, cuz it’s NOT, but I feel bad giving it to Tucker book. It just isn’t done! But alas, not everyone will love every book they read.

Although I certainly feel that Tucker's writing style has come a long way since Ten Tiny Breaths (2013), Say You Still Love Me still reflects a level of immaturity in grown characters that I find uncomfortable. Piper Calloway is a high-level executive in her father's company, working alongside her narcissitic former fiance. She was also once a camp counselor, and Camp Wawa is where she found her best friends--now roommates--and her first love., Kyle Miller. When Kyle re-enters her world in a guise as a security guard in her building, Piper's carefully-constructed little VIP life morphs into something entirely different.

At first, I was enjoying the flashbacks to Camp Wawa, and the rich girl taking on the bad boy. The reader will quickly realize, though, that the flashbacks are actually half of the story; and while I appreciate a good teen romance, that wasn't what I thought I was in for. Younger readers than I may very well enjoy the tale, told from the two timelines, of Piper and Kyle finding their way to one another. I kept waiting for one of the nearly-thirty-year-olds to quit acting like they were *still* at camp.

This was my first K.A. Tucker book and I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed it. I'm normally not a huge romance genre girl but the way this book was written kept me interested throughout and I really enjoyed reading it.

Synopsis: Piper seemingly has all she could want in life; she's the VP at her father's multibillion-dollar real estate development firm and living with her two best friends from camp that she met sixteen years ago. Piper is trying to prove herself in a male-dominant field, made worse by the fact that her dad is her boss, all while trying to avoid her ex-fiancee every day who works with her. Then the boy she fell head over heels in love with at camp shows back up all these years later, her first love, the guy she hasn't stopped thinking about. Convinced it's not a coincidence that he works in her building, Piper must find out if he still shares the same feelings as her.

I loved how this wasn't a typical romance book, it actually had depth and drama to it that made you want to keep reading it. The characters were amazing, especially Piper and Kyle, I could not get enough of those two.

Another thing I really enjoyed was the flashbacks to sixteen years ago at camp when Kyle and Piper first met. It added so much to the story and really gave you a background on who they were and their relationship.

This is definitely an author that I will be reading more works from!

K.A. Tucker’s book Say You Still Love Me sounded like a great romance novel to make for some great reading on a weekend. While it read alright, I wasn’t completely enthralled by it.

K.A. Tucker has a great writing style and the story flowed smoothly. I loved the main character being a powerful female role and having a high confidence level within her job and life. I feel like the supporting characters in this book were well developed and helped lead the story. Personally I loved the older security guard because it gave us an idea of the type of person she was to the average individual. I felt we learned a lot about Piper when we saw those types of interactions.

Unfortunately the story was just not very catching to me overall. It was enjoyable enough, but it didn’t have me begging to know what would happen next. It was your average love story, but I think I would have enjoyed it more had there been more suspense and high intensity moments.

With that said, I think K.A. Tucker writes good romance and romance lovers would enjoy this book. I prefer a more suspenseful type of read, but will likely give another novel by K.A. Tucker a chance.

KA Tucker has release a new book today, Say You Still Love Me.
Say You Still Love Me will bring back two former childhood lover together again. Piper has always done what was expected of her that it comes no surprise that she will be taking over her father company. That's a lot of pressure of her to handle but she is determine to do so. I admire her determination but I also worry for her because she needs to relax a little. She always done what was expected of her which is a lot but she did it anyway. I know she needs to chill especially when she see her first love again. It definitely throws her through the loop but it also reminded her that how happy she was when she was with him. She wants more but first she needs to know why he is trying to avoid her especially when they love each other so much.
Kyle may be mysterious in the beginning but he is still hiding from Piper. There is so much to say to her that he does not know what or how to. He needs to man up a bit and express his feelings. But he won't and it is going to lead to some complications along the way.
Piper and Kyle seem to be good for each other. But I wish that they got to express more about their feelings. It seems a little rushed toward the end. I want a little more so the characters can grow as one.
Say You Still Love Me is a good romance read for former lovers reuniting again.
Three stars.

First off, I love a book that takes place at summer camp. I went to summer camp for a few years too. It’s such a nostalgic, laid back setting and I love it! I didn’t experience my first love at summer camp (I was also 12 when I stopped going…) but it’s something I can definitely get on board with.⁣

Also, I’ll never say no to a second chance at love. The past and present storylines gave us concurrent glimpses at the first time Piper and Kyle fell in love and also them reconnecting later in life. Their first go-around was reckless, it was young, it was steamy. Can they put their past mistakes behind them and pick up where they left off?⁣

Long story short, read this book for:⁣
✔️summer camp nostalgia⁣
✔️teens behaving badly⁣
✔️second chances at love⁣
✔️past and present storylines⁣
✔️all the steam⁣

What a great book to finish off the summer with! This book was light and sweet with the move loveable characters. I didn’t want it to end. Piper and Kyles love story was everything I needed in a beach summer read. Piper was such a lovely and strong female lead character which I really enjoyed. Highly recommend! Cannot wait to read more from this author!

Thanks netgalley, KA Tucker atriabooks for my free copy of Say You Still Love Me by KA Tucker in exchange for my honest review.

Second chance romance. Kyle and Piper meet as camp counselors in their teens. They build a relationship that was more than summer love, that is until Kyle ghosts Piper. What happens when a you meet again and theirs still chemistry. Can Piper forgive Kyle? Can they work past the obstacles between them?

I enjoyed this one. It was sweet and I had fun unraveling what happened between Kyle and Piper. The book alternatives between then and now and I enjoyed reading about the past. I’m not the biggest fan of second chance romance cause I don’t believe in second chances jk (sort of) but there were other themes such as class differences in relationships and I enjoyed that Piper had a fully fleshed out career that she was passionate about.
I know I’m a little late to this one. Have you read it? What are your thoughts?

There is nothing quite like your first love. They are emblazoned in your memories for life.

For some of us, it is just memories. But, for some people, they wonder a lot about "what if" when thinking of their first love. That's the case in this title as Piper has never forgotten Kyle. And she never has let herself truly get close to anyone else since he ripped her heart out after a summer camp romance.

This title was a fun read for me with a good reminder that we do not always know the why behind other people's actions. What Piper saw as being deserted, Kyle saw as protecting her.

Definitely a thumbs up recommendation for anyone looking to have a light read with a bit of steam in the scenes.

I’m a huge K.A. Tucker fan, but unfortunately, I can’t say that Say You Still Love Me was a favorite of mine, though I do see why it would appeal to others.

The story features Piper Calloway, a present day, highly successful real estate VP in her father’s firm, trying to make a name for herself in a male-dominated field. Added tension arises when Kyle Miller, her ex-love interest, shows up as the new security guard at the firm.

The past portions of the story examine the two as teenage camp counselors. This is the part of the story I had the most difficulty connecting with. These sections were much longer than the present day and tended to drag for me. Not only did I not attend a similar type of camp, therefore lacking the nostalgia others have claimed, but my former teenage self couldn’t relate to these particular teens. My friends and I weren’t vicious and gossipy and we didn’t have the same kind of adult-type relationships the teenagers in this novel did. It made me rather uncomfortable and wasn’t something that piqued my interest.

Though I found the present day portions more engaging, I didn’t entirely love the present day characters. They felt somewhat immature and self-centered. I was also hoping for a more conclusive, well-rounded resolution at the end of the story. All-in-all, I can definitely see why some will enjoy this story, for me, I simply wasn’t able to make a connection and therefore find it as entertaining as I hoped it would be.
