Although the trope itself is well-trod territory - rich girl, bad boy fall in love as teens and then meet again 13 years later, KA Tucker really captures that all consuming first love in a story that’s compelling, if not entirely believable. Piper's focus on her career and the need to really prove herself make the current day storyline ring true. Where the story stumbles for me is the instant reconnection between Piper and Kyle, no questions asked. Still, an entertaining read that’ll invoke a lot of nostalgia for anyone who’s been a camp counselor.

I loved the setting and the time hops from the “here” to the “then” so much, I felt like I was a young counselor at summer camp all over again. What a memorable group of characters with the beautiful Piper leading the way with her tenacious drive. I love how the detailed weaved together to make such a complete picture and the little twists along the way. And I even laughed when Eric loved his peanut butter on hamburgers with bacon (might I suggest jalapeños too!). Well done Mrs. Tucker, well done.

- the very interesting characters who portray a ton of growth throughout the book
- that the lead female is a high powered CEO and the male is a security officer

- the realism of the plot and how it doesn’t skirt the fact that actions have consequences

This is my second novel by K.A. Tucker and while I didn't love it quite as much as The Simple Wild, I still enjoyed it so much. I loved flipping back and forth between the past and present. It was really interesting seeing what happened during their time at the summer camp and then seeing how things changed so much years later. The chemistry between the characters was so good!

4.5 Stars! What if the boy who captured your heart and then broke it suddenly showed up in your life? How would you react, what would you do…especially if, deep down, you never quite got over him? Well, Piper faces that exact situation in this sweet second chance romance when Kyle suddenly shows up where she works. As these two get reacquainted, the sparks fly but there’s still some hurt that needs to be dealt with and, thanks to some unexpected twists in the story, we’re able to understand why these two broke up all those years ago.

Ms. Tucker has once again given us a story that we can sink our teeth into. Alternating between the present and the past, we’re able not just to hear about Piper and Kyle’s story but actually experience it. We watch these two flirt and fall in love…once…twice…and it’s such fun. They have great chemistry and their banter is really fun. Of course, there are many emotions that we need to dig through before we’re able to see our way to the happily ever after but I enjoyed every moment of the push and pull. I was rooting for these two from the very beginning. And, although I would have liked to spend more time in the present than we did, I understood the need for those peeks into the past. It all added to the tapestry of the story.

As with all of Ms. Tucker’s books, she’s taken care to give us some wonderful secondary characters who add to the depth of the story and a storyline with just enough romance and steam to make it interesting (insert eyebrow wiggle here). I always enjoy this author’s stories and I can’t wait to see what she’s got in line for us next.

I haven't read many second chance romances, but I absolutely loved it. The summer camp scenes were so full of nostalgia & teenage joy, and it really portrayed how they fell in love. Piper is an amazing & strong woman, and I love how her story turned out. KA Tucker has quickly become one of my favorite authors, and I highly encourage that you check her out!

Say You Still Love Me is a sweet, funny and hopelessly romantic story that will hook you from start to finish. There are moments in this story that made me laugh and many more that made me swoon.

Piper loved that boy she met all those years at summer camp. For her, Kyle was it. He was the rebel but the boy with a heart of gold. Unfortunately, life happened and it didn’t work. Never in a million years did she think he would show back up in her life, at her own company. Now he acts like she never exited and she’s hurt. However, little does she know that those unbridled feelings she is suppressing, Kyle is right there with her. Now they have to figure out if they want to be together and if they can make it work.

First of all, there are some seriously funny moments that just made me chuckle. This could and will be read out of context but even when I looked back and my highlighted quotes, this one made me laugh yet again.

“I always wanted an assistant that I carry around in my pocket”

Second of all, this book gave me exactly what I needed. I laughed. I hurt. I felt. All three major emotions that I need and the main factors in while I devoured this story in one sitting. If you want something sweet, sassy and a tiny bit angsty (don’t be scared, it’s not like that) then you need to read this ASAP. I’ve been traveling for work for the past several months will little to no time to read but picking up Say You Still Love Me was the best decision I could have made with the minimal spare time I had in that moment. It was worth it.

It's an incredibly well written novel that doesn't follow the typical plot of rekindled romance, there's a secondary story line here that I never could have guessed at. There's also beautiful friendships and family members that make up a stunning cast of secondary characters, each bringing me more into the story and making me want to live inside their camp days forever. Say You Still Love Me is out just in time to make my summer reads list and is the perfect book to sit out on the dock with as you say goodbye to the warmer days and welcome in fall.

I loved The Simple Wild and when I saw an ARC available, I requested it ASAP. However, I was disappointed. This is a second chance romance told in dual timelines but I didn’t like the protagonists at all. I kept reading it wanting to find something in either Piper or Kyle...but I couldn’t find anything likeable about them or their romance.

This story was adorable. It kept me up way past my bedtime because I just had to read through to the happy ending - I was in that kind of mood.

Piper Calloway is 29, smart, beautiful, rich and being groomed to take over her father's multibillion-dollar real estate development firm. Sounds like she has it all right? Well, looks can be deceiving because she is also single, having recently broken off her engagement to a man she has to continue to work with every day and battling a male-dominated business daily in order to earn the respect she deserves and works hard for.

Enter Kyle, the new security guard at her building and the boy who broke her heart thirteen years ago. She has never forgotten Kyle. Not the magical summer they spent together or the disappearing act he pulled after an accident involving another camper left them both fired and unable to ever return to camp. Can fate be bringing him back into Piper's life?

Told in dual timelines - Then/Camp and Now - we experience all the butterflies, stolen moments, desire and intense feelings that come with first love. We see how Piper and Kyle fell in love and slowly connect the dots to what led them apart in the present.

Say You Still Love Me was a quick, easy read that I enjoyed.

I loved Say You Still Love Me by KA Tucker. She is very quickly becoming one of my favorite authors. After reading and loving The Simple Wild, I jumped on the chance to read this one. And I LOVED this story. The chemistry and slow burn between Piper and Kyle was perfect. I am a huge fan of second chance romances. The alternating time lines in this story worked perfectly. I found myself equally engaged between both timelines and eager to find out why they split and if they were going to get back together. This book isn't high on the steam level, but I fell in love with these characters and even shed a couple tears. Definitely check this out if you are looking for an fun and engaging summer read.

This book. THIS BOOK. I absolutely loved it. First off, let me start by saying that I was a camp counselor, in 2006- at a sleep away camp in upstate NY. So if that’s not a personal connection to a book - I don’t know what is. The nostalgia of that aside, KA Tucker hit this one out of the park. It was atmospheric and angsty. I really connected with these characters. Piper is a rich girl who’s mother comes from humble beginnings. She agrees to be a counselor at the summer camp that her mother attended as a child- as long as she receives the car her father promised her at the end of the summer. Pipers mother is convinced that she will make lifelong memories and friendships and will learn to appreciate the privilege that she is currently afforded by spending the summer at camp. Kyle is from a family of criminals and has a complicated past. As you might have guessed, sparks fly between these two the moment they set eyes on each other. But they couldn’t be anymore different. Told between alternating timelines, their love story both past and present unfolds.

I felt like I was right back at camp while reading this book. Tucker nailed the atmosphere, the shenanigans and the bonds that one develops while spending 24/7 with your peers in that type of environment. It was probably the most fun and challenging job I ever had. Camp goggles are real people. Also, I thought that the present day story where Piper and Kyle reconnect was really sweet. All in all; a 5 star read for me. I have already placed an order for a physical copy of this book as I look forward to reading and recommending it again and again.

I had high hopes for Say You Still Love Me, based solely around the fact that many trusted friends love K.A. Tucker’s novel The Simple Wild (which I still have on my TBR) and my own curiosity about this author. The novel is told in two timelines: the past where Kyle and Piper first meet when they are both counselors at summer camp and the present where Piper is set to step up as CEO of her family’s company and Kyle finds employment as a security guard in their building. Using this narrative style does lend itself to the build-up towards the dramatic revelation in both timelines. However, I’m not keen on the way things played out, nor do I feel like all elements were well-handled. The pacing also felt inconsistent, at times snappy and at times sluggish. But what really decided my overall feelings about this book was the fact that I wasn’t personally invested in either Piper or Kyle, and this meant that I also didn’t care much for their romance. Unfortunately, my first experience with K.A. Tucker was not something to write home about and that makes me sad. (I’m still cautiously optimistic about enjoying The Simple Wild when I get to it though!)

I will admit- I'm sort of a newbie to the romance genre. I read a lot of YA romance and Nicholas Sparks in High School, but have strayed far from the genre since then. As of lately, I've been dabbling with it a little, and thought this book sounded good. I'm so glad I gave it a try, because it was a wonderfully written story. I was completely glued from the first pages, and really admired main character, Piper. It's so refreshing to read a romance novel where the female lead isn't hanging around, waiting for a man to swoop in and save her. I love that Piper had her own life established, and didn't rely on anyone, especially jerky ex-fiance, David. I also really connected with Piper with her conflicting feelings on wanting to be her own, independent person, yet still needing validation from her dad.

This was all around a really great read, and I'm so glad that I gave it a chance, especially since it's out of my comfort zone.

Set in both present-day and thirteen years in the past, Say You Still Love Me is both a modern-day second chance romance, as well as a tale of first love at a summer sleepaway camp. This story is a true embodiment of KA Tucker’s incomparable storytelling style; it’s intriguing, engrossing, unique, and also combines her skills as a young adult/adult contemporary/suspense author.

Piper is both a 16-year-old camp counselor and a 29-year-old businesswoman in Say You Still Love Me. She comes from a privileged upbringing, so her mother feels that attending the same camp as she did will help her see how “the other half” lives. What she didn’t anticipate was that Piper would fall for a boy who is exactly that: a teenager from the wrong side of the tracks who comes from a troubled home with a laundry list of criminal behavior.

Modern-day Piper is a hardworking executive who has to face working with her ex-boyfriend while also learning the ropes to one day take over the family business from her father. She has to deal with misogynistic jerks day in and day out, but Piper's lifelong friendship with her fellow camp counselors helps to keep her sane. When Kyle suddenly shows up at her office building as their newest employee, the last thing she expects is that he has completely forgotten about her.

I personally loved the flashbacks of young Piper and Kyle falling in love while having adventures at camp. It reminded me of my own first loves and crushes as a teenager and I was able to relate to all of her thoughts and feelings. When Piper sees Kyle again for the first time after over a decade of radio silence, I could feel her hurt and confusion. In fact, I was confused for much of the story, but that’s what I loved about it. I hate it when I can figure out the ending of a book before it plays out, but that didn’t happen with this story. I was consumed with finding out the truth and knowing what happened that summer that was bad enough to tear Kyle and Piper apart.

Tucker was able to create a story that effortlessly combines two timelines and gives the reader just enough crumbs in each to keep us riveted and emotionally invested. It was heart-wrenching and emotional to read at times, but also sweet and rewarding right when it needed to be. She has a tremendous gift for storytelling and I can’t wait to see what she brings us next!

I enjoyed reading this from NetGalley. It was a good story. The flashbacks were an ok device, but got to a point where it interrupted the story set NOW, which is where I preferred to stay. But, it was helpful in understanding the tragedy that summer.

It practically felt like a hot YA book. Almost Colleen Hoover-level with the angst and self suffering, at times. (OK, maybe not as melodramatic as those stories, which makes this waaay better.)

I liked it, but not sure if her books follow a similar sort of "reveal" method like this one's end of summer camp, tattoo unveilings, etc. and whether I could stomach a pattern of them.

This is the first K.A. Tucker book I’ve read (I know, I know, I have to read Simple Wild – hopefully soon!) so I didn’t have anything to compare it to. The premise of the book sounded interesting and I wanted to read something lighter but that grabbed me from the beginning after reading a few heavier books.

I really enjoyed the alternating views of the “Now” Piper and the “Then” at summer camp. The story was a little slow for me. I was hoping to connect more with Piper but I found her unlikeable at times and didn’t get much character development. I never went to summer camp (it wasn’t a thing where I’m from), but it sounds like something I would have loved! I can see how it would be nostalgic for people that went to summer camp.

The ending definitely picks up and it made me tear up a bit. Overall, I enjoyed the book and if you’re looking for a love story with alternating timelines and summer camp nostalgia you should give it a try!

Everyone at one point or another has thought about a second chance with their first love, and lucky for Piper Calloway she is about to get that chance. But unfortunately she isn't really in the right place in life for that chance, with a ex-fiance constantly circling waiting for another shot, and her overbearing father constantly poking his nose in to her life, she has no time for a personal life.

As soon as I cracked the cover on Say You Still Love Me I was hooked, these wonderfully crafted characters wandered onto the page and had me instantly mesmerized. The drama I found on the pages kept me constantly engaged, the swoony moments squeezed my heart, and the emotional ones stirred up a case of the feels... it was such a perfectly blended tale giving me everything I could possibly want in a story! Highly recommend!!

After reading The Simple Wild, I was really excited for this release. Plus, a story of second chance love and summer camp sounded like a great read to me. Unfortunately, this was quite steamier than I prefer. I also wasn’t a fan that most of the steam took place with teenagers. There also were a lot of parts that seemed highly unrealistic. So while I was totally into the love story and liked the characters, this one just didn’t work for me overall.

I ended up enjoying this a lot more than I thought I would. At the beginning of this I was really enjoying the 'past' chapters but the 'present' chapters started out really boring to me. Throughout the whole book there was far too much business type talk for me. I really liked the past when they were at summer camp and having the summer of their lives. It was a really fun and carefree time for them! Overall I did like this quite a bit. There were a few things I had issues with and some tropes that aren't my favorite such as poor vs. rich and the overbearing father meddling in the daughter's life for her own good. That's just my personal preference though, I think this could be even more enjoyable for others though!
