An honest portrayal of a tragedy’s aftermath and a family with both the victims and the accused. Interesting how the chapters go from character to character while telling the tale of a baby who died. Was she murdered? Was it an accident? How does a woman cope with her loss while hoping it wasn’t her very close sister who is responsible? An ending that will shock you! Well done.

I read 1/3 of this and then set it aside. It was a bit too "on the nose," a bit too obvious. The characters were a bit cliched. It just didn't hold my attention.

Thank you to NetGalley and Penguin Group for an e-ARC of this title in exchange for my honest review. I loved this book. Multiple narrators and timelines. Two sisters, one taking on the nanny role for the other. A difficult infant that will not stop crying. Was it murder? Was it an accident? And, if Becky, the sister on trial for the death of the baby, did not do it, who did? Very well done. I could not put it down. Did I say I loved this book?

I couldn’t put this book down. A heartbreaking story of life, love and loss, a tragedy. The story flowed back and forth between the time of the tragedy and present day events. Two sisters torn apart, their lives forever altered..
