This book is filled with personal stories of people who are HIV positive. It is an important and powerful book. Reading this challenged me to rethink everything I thought I knew about HIV and encouraged me to take a look at how I am serving people in my community. I would recommend this book for anyone in church leadership.

The publisher provided an ARC through Netgalley. I have voluntarily decided to read and review, giving my personal opinions and thoughts

The author wrote an eye-opening book about how those that are in religious institutions turn individuals with HIV away when they seek assistance. There are also examples of those that think they are helping, but are doing more harm than good.

This was a very powerful book. The current generations that did not live thru the aids epidemic and scare of the 80's and 90's don't completely get how scary this disease was/is. I still remember people freaking out over just hugging someone with hiv. We still need to come around and help those with HIV and bring awareness of this sometimes (thankful now) deadly disease. I highly recommend this book as way to open the door of talking again about HIV.
