Boss Up! gave a realistic and humorous glimpse into what it takes to be an entrepreneur. Lindsay is forthcoming with the tools that she shares as well as the lessons she learned from her struggles and failures. I’m not an entrepreneur and yet I’m able to take lessons that I learned from the book and apply them not only to my business life but my personal life as well.

This wasn’t exactly what I was expecting. While there were some great entrepreneurial tips scattered throughout, I felt that it leaned heavy on the parenting aspect of juggling a small business, which does not apply to me. Overall, not a bad read, but just not what I thought it would be. Thank you, NetGalley, for the ARC!

I liked the ideas she presented, though not totally sure it was for me. I liked the writing style and it was engaging and funny.

I've loved Lindsay for a long time, and she's someone I look up to as a woman running my own business. I loved Getting Noticed, which has even helped me successfully run my own Bookstagram. I'm not sure if it was the timing or the content of this book, but it just didn't really land with me. I'm a wife and a puppy mom, but maybe I don't carry some of the guilt she talks about for wanting more for my life. This book is great for mom-entrepreneurs and maybe others who have too much on their plate. I didn't really take any of the advice forward, but that doesn't mean I didn't learn from it.

Boss Up! by Lindsay Teague Moreno is a comprehensive how-to business book. It gives great advice and solid steps for achievement.

I received this digital ARC as part of the Boss Up! Launch team. I have to tell you that it was not what I was expecting. I expected the book to be within the whole "girl boss" movement with helpful tips and tricks to manage through life as an a entrepreneur and have a family. Instead it was more focused on MLM aspects of building a business, which did not apply to me. It was a quick read and I am thankful for having the opportunity to pre-read it but regret now that I purchased it. (It was required)

Definitely a quick and easy read! If you’re an entrepreneur, in NWM, this is a book to have on your shelf.
Gives you steps on how to do things, how to kick butt in the biz and succeed. It’s a no bs, you have to put in the work but do some of these things and you should find success.

You can hear the authors voice throughout, and keeps the reader engaged with a few laughs along the way.

What a great inspirational self-help guide. Boss Up has some great suggestions and encourages you to find your thing, putting on your positive pants, and even brand consistency matters. These are just some of the topics she addresses in this book.

Ater multiple attempts, I finally finished this book. I wasn't familiar with Lindsay Teague Moreno going in, but I always love books about female empowerment, women entrepreneurs (especially Mom entrepreneurs), and women motivating other women, and this seemed right up my alley. Not so much. I despise MLMs, and had I known that's what her business was, I probably wouldn't have requested this one. It did have some good advice, but the MLM aspect was a huge turnoff for me.

I LOVED this book!! Lindsey gives you 19 lessons for women looking to establish their own business. I found this to be authentic and straight to the point.

As a mom and a business person, I LOVED this book. Lindsay is a great speaker. She is great in person, she is great online, and she is great in her writing. I loved that I could relate when I read this. I love the practical-ness of this book as well as how simple and FUNNY she is. As someone who has done network marketing as well as worked for small businesses I find Lindsay's insight helpful and useful

I think the title and summary of this book could have more clearly indicated that it was written for working moms. The cover art definitely indicates that it's directed toward women, but it isn't until you read a bit that she tells you that's who her target audience is. The book could have benefited from a tagline that said something about working moms instead of the more general tagline "not your mama's business book." Lindsey encourages readers who are not working moms to take what they can and ignore what doesn't apply to them. But I think there's a lot that people who aren't working moms would have to read around to get the to the information that applied to them. She writes in an entertaining and honest way that keeps the reader engaged and challenges a lot of the myths related to being a working mom. I would gladly read another book by her on another topic.

This is a great book for anyone who runs a business from home and its not specific to network marketing. Lindsey talks about all of her endeavors over the years including network marketing. She encourages everyone to know their worth!

I found myself laughing so hard I was crying at parts of this book. Its mom-centric, but you don't need to be a mom to benefit from it. You just might want to skip a chapter or parts if they don't apply to you.

I purchased a psychical copy of this book after I read the e-arc because i wanted to be able to flip though to key parts easily and to highlight. I also sent a copy to my SIL who is a small business owner and graphic designer!

I am honestly a bit torn about this book.. I loved Moreno's humor and enjoyed many parts of it but it also came off at times like an MLM sell it post...you know that ones. Facebook friends you haven't talked to since high school suddenly wanting to catch up with you to sell their makeup or green friendly cleaning supplies or essential oils or latest fad. I am not opposed to the items sold, but I am not a fan of pyramid schemes and fakey check ins with friends you don't care about. Honestly, I don't think the ones on my friend's list need any help on integrating these principles....they have it down, though I'm still not buying their products. She uses a lot of MLM buzzwords as well...I think they all must be taking the same classes. I'm even super passionate about EOs and a certain MLM fitness company but the disingenousness is a huge turn off to me so I was cringing through a lot of the book. If your MLM friends drive you up the wall, then I would pass on this book, even if you are a working mom. I'm sure other MLMs love it and feel like they are adding to their "tribe" though.

This is a very good book if you want to start your own business or if you already have your own business. It has business savvy, wisdom, wit and a whole lot of authenticity, all of which makes for an educational but entertaining book, never boring.
It does have its flaws. The introduction and the first chapter felt like a long introduction and I found myself wishing it would get to the point. But no worries; it gets good, really good, specific, immensely helpful and informative from then on.
Also, I know many people loved the footnotes (there are funny, entertaining footnotes in practically every page), however, I found that they hurt the flow of the book. I would have preferred to have them included as part of the main text.
This two minor details aside, I would recommend this book to every woman, especially moms, dreaming, hoping, planning, detailing or already working on their own. It will help you streamline your ideas, have a thought out plan, branding, target market and marketing ideas, among other equally important business foundations.

This was a solid beginners business book geared towards stay at home moms. She had a lot of good step by step instructions for helping women get started their own business. I was surprised to hear she made her millions selling for an MLM. Those are such a turn off for so many. I also found myself cringing every time I saw the term momtrepreneur and finding “your tribe”.

Lindsay Teague Moreno's tag line: "This ain't your mama's business book" sums this book up nicely. She spells out what it means to be and entrepreneur. This book is a game changer. Practical and applicable the whole way through.

Boss Up! is a Great book, with lots of step-by-step directions about starting and improving a home-based business.
