I can't even begin to tell you how much I enjoy these Harlequin romance mangas. I love the illustrations. I love the stories and since the stories are from actual books, sometimes it even motivates me to go and read the book for more details. Love it.

Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for sending me this manga to me in exchange of an honest review.

Despite of the story which theme is commonly used in Harlequin novels but the artwork in this manga was beautifully drawn, the story was sweet but remarkable. Definitely a sweet manga to read during your leisure time.

I like Harelequin manga, this was ok. The art was gpod and it was drawn very well. There where some very cute and funny character exspressions. Story-wise this was ok. I liked both the main male and female characters and even some.of the side characters. The romance was good and I loke how it developed. My main issue it that there where a few transitions from scene to scene (or from one day to the next in the story.) That where a bit sloppy or unclear so there where a couple moments where it was hard to tell where in the timeline of the story it was. There where a couple parts that where a bit cliché, mostly the usual. "Im not good enough for him, Once X event is over our time together is up" plot element was there and it jist didnt felt like it fit into the story. Espechially since the leading lafy had not problem facing any kind of conflit with another person or being clear about her feelings so this plot trope felt out of character. Its a good sweet story overall and I would still recomend it.

Thank you to Harlequin / SB Creative and NetGalley for providing me with an e-ARC to read and review.

So this book started off on the wrong foot. Jillian's character was flat and silly and too much "oh no" this and "oh no" that. I wondered if she was really thinking at all when she almost married someone she literally just met.

But I got more and more engrossed in the story with each passing page and began to really enjoy the story. I like how hardworking Jillian's character is and how more level-headed she becomes. Gianni (the Duke of Destino) is dashing and handsome, sometimes silly (in the way Jillian was in the very beginning.

I liked the conflicted that battled against the growing attraction between the main characters. I liked Jillian's natural sphere of influence over the people she encounters (and it's adorable how she's not even aware of the positive vibes she emits).

The art was classic, romantic, funny and outright gorgeous (why I love manga artists).

In the end, I was a very satisfied reader and was sad when the story ended. I'm really enjoying these original stories being turned into manga.

Jillian was on a trip to Venice when she was swept off her feet by a man she’d only just met…and she agreed to marry him! But it turned out that he’s a con artist who already has a wife and child. So Jillian ran out of the chapel in her wedding dress without a penny left to her name. She’s crying by the canal, feeling like the biggest fool on earth, when a gorgeous man bumps into her and asks if he can help. He takes her in, and his house is an honest-to-goodness mansion! Jillian feels as if she’s wandered into another dream. Her rescuer is the Duke of Destino, one of the most eligible bachelors in all of Europe, and he’s offered to hire her as his secretary!

An excellent artwork for a charming love story, what more can you want for an hour of sweet escapism?

I really enjoyed this love story between Jillian and Gianni. Their story was very interesting from the start! Jillian is getting married in Italy when during the wedding she finds out that her husband to be is already married and has a child. She then meets Gianni who offers his help. She will work for him for a month planning a ball. During this time they get to know each other better and romance blooms between them. It is also when they learn that love is worth fighting for and that they were made for each other. So sweet!!
The graphics were wonderful and clear. The dialogue was easy to follow and very well placed on the graphics.
I highly recommend this manga!!

This was such a fun read! I feel like a better title would have been Italian Lover though. 😘 I really enjoyed the experience. Sometimes, you just want a quick romance read, and this fits the bill. It didn't fall into too many awful tropes. The art was lovely. I have a feeling I am really going to enjoy the harlequin series of manga.
There were some sexual scenes. They did come across a little cheesy, but also very tasteful for what they could have been.

The cover is gorgeous and the premise is interesting. I always love pretend lover story. The beginning is quick to grasp and I love it but I have mixed feeling with the protagonist, Jillian and Duke of Destino. Jillian is hard work woman but it is sad to see she feel intimated because she has not married and Duke of Destino is your alpha male who allergic to marriage. The conflict and resolution are simple, but it is quite entertaining if you are looking fun and quick read

Thanks you Harlequin / SB Creative and NetGalley for providing me with this ARC.
