"Cats in Origami" is a lovely book with clear instructions for making about 20 different designs. The pictures are colorful and the instructions are step-by-step. I found them easy to follow. This book would make a lovely gift along for anyone with an interest in crafts.

Cats in Origami by Nick Robinson is a wonderful book for cat lovers looking for a new hobby, and anyone who enjoys origami.
Projects are rated according to difficulty, and a brief introductory chapter explains folding techniques and suggestions for how to choose the most appropriate origami paper.

I appreciate the pictures that show the size of the origami cat in relation to the paper used to make it. The photographs of the finished cats are beautiful.
My digital advanced reading copy did not have diagrams to accompany the step-by-step directions. Hopefully they are included in the published book.
My favourite cats are Rear-View Cat, Kitty, Cat Envelope, Cat Box, White Socks, Nosy Cat, and Neko Bookmark. "Neko" is the Japanese word for "cat".

Thanks to Dover Publications, Inc., and NetGalley for a digital ARC of Cats in Origami by Nick Robinson. The thoughts expressed here are my own.

These are great for anyone that has some basic knowledge of origami making but I think it is a bit too advanced for a beginner. I am a cat fan so all of these are winners for me. This would be a cute book for a cat-loving teen or adult that enjoys paper folding.

As an origami book this is a fine read. Every creation is a cat of some sort. However, it is very useful that illustrations are used for final version as well as actual photos because otherwise it might be hard to tell what some of the creations are. Some just look like squashed paper, based on photos alone. I also happen to like that the first page of each pattern illustrates the completed size in comparison to the start sheet. To this reader the best patten is the Neko Bookmark.

Cats with Character:
What a cute origami book! All the cat designs in this book come from a handful of talented origami artists and like cats in real life, each origami cat has its very own character. The models are presented in order from easy to hard, None of them is too complicated to make, even for kids 10 and older, when following the step-by-step instructions in the book. I like that each folding instruction comes with a little picture that shows how big the finished cat will be in relation to the size of the origami paper used. My favorite cats are the Cat Box, the Neko Bookmark, The Cat That Got The Cream, The Adorable Cat, and The Nosy Cat. You can make the finished Cat That Got The Cream move as if its licking milk. The finished Adorable Cat looks up at you with its big, irresistible eyes, and the 3-D Nosy Cat is very realistic. And, last but not least, the book comes with my favorite cat of all, the Cheshire Cat from Alice in Wonderland.

This is a great book for people who have previous experience creating origami creatures. The designs are whimsical, but a bit too complex for beginners. Nonetheless, it is a great book to have as a reference.

There were some great designs in this book! I hope that the finished copy has step by step pictures, rather than just words telling how to fold. It could be confusing if that is how the finished book is.

Super cute collection of origami cats! Each design is clearly illustrated with easy to follow diagrams. Designs are also rated for difficulty that helps the maker choose a design that suits their level of experience. Sure to be enjoyed by any cat loving crafter.

Thank you to Dover Publications and Netgalley for the eARC in exchange for my honest review.
