An unexpected ending in this mystery thriller - At The Edge of No Return - is one that grabs you from the beginning and does not let go until the very end of the story.

This is a weird book with 4 very different characters. The priest is the first one in this story. It will be on my re-read list. Thank you Netgalley for this opportunity.

The plot, the characters, and the details all conspire to give the reader a book that is excruciating to put down because of the craving to see what happens next.

I had mixed feelings from the description and was feeling the negative side of them for the first few chapters - not being sure who was who and how they did, or did not, tie together. It got better after that and fair raced along. Two of the four main characters got their due, not sure about the third and the fourth (and best character - Jack) was a complete non ending for me. Pity. I definitely wanted to know more about his story. The female lead was so so - another profiler/psychiatrist type working with the police - but I found her a bit annoying with her rather pompous thoughts about her next paper/conference presentation. There were rather too many mis-types/auto wrong corrections and so on for me though - lots of 'Seamen' being found on the bed sheets caused a ripple of amusement but the too many occasions of 'it' for 'is' and "'s" where there should have been no apostrophe really annoying. The author needs a good editor. An entertaining read but not as thought provoking as the description suggested. Thanks to NetGalley and BooksGoSocial for an advance copy in exchange for an honest review.

At first it was hard for me to 'get it'- figuring who was who. I almost abandoned it, but once I did figure everyone out, I found it fun to read.
I am not always sure when the boundaries of the real get stretched, but this was pretty entertaining. The futile yelling and puffs of air to get attention were fun. The intertwining stories come to a great conclusion.

At the Edge of No Return, psychological thriller brings four characters to the edge of falling toward darkness or light.

Has Elvis Colt, a serial killer, rolled the dice too many times; the Reverend William Meeks lost any chance for salvation; Jack Goodman, forever stuck at Horizon’s End; and behavior psychologist Dr. Georgia Jeningson made a fatal decision when trying to right a wrong which she can never take back?

At the Edge of No Return offers more than just another story of murder, vengeance, and love lost. The novel explores what can take all of us to the edge.

I really enjoyed the book. My favorite character was Jack Goodman. It seemed everyone was a bit insane ,some of a better way than others.
