I loved this book and I can tell with all the characters that it's going to be a series - which means many, many more books to come!! I won't be complaining!! This is probably the first Amish book I've read that I truly enjoyed and put ahead of everyone else's books and I'm not ashamed of saying that. It was totally worth it. This was clean, well-written, and had an awesome storyline.

I like this book ok but I think that author was a little bit rude when I asked a question.
Myrna Myrna what is to become of you but then you're a little bit like me. Right down to the red hair peeking out from your cap. Us Redheads are incorrigible!! Makes me wonder if you were left handed like me as well?
Although I can't say that I've been let go of my jobs like you have. Even though I have been through a lot but it wasn't because my personality. I either got bored or just up and left. But, now I"ve been at my job almost 8 years. It's the same everywhere isn't it.
I can't say that I am with the Swartzentruber Amish and their beliefs because sometimes you just need a little extra help from the outside.
I do like the idea however of a cookie club. I think it's a great idea for friends to get together and work at the things we all like or are like minded.
Ezekiel is a kind hearted man. I really liked him and I think that he got done rather wrong. I'm glad that things worked out for him. It shows that God has a bigger plan than we know and can comprehend. It also shows that if a door closes than leave it!! Don't keep banging on it!! He might've closed it for a reason maybe even better things to come.
I didn't like all the gossip that surrounded Ezekiel.. Busy bodies for sure!! Never assume anything until you actually hear it from the horse's mouth so to speak.
Wagging tongues can hurt. It really isn't nice to speak so meanly or judge others!! That is for God and God alone!!
But because the author shows us that the Amish are just like us in many ways is why I love Amish fiction.
I would really love to go for a ride in an Amish buggy!! And their cooking is out of this world!! I was fortunate to get to go to Amish country in Indiana for a day. I would like to go again!!
I received a complimentary copy of this book from Netgalley with no compensations received and all opinions are my own!!

I just loved this book and didn't want it to end. The story pulls you in as if you are part of their cookie club. I enjoyed the relationship that Myrna had with Ezekiel and how it builds. All those sweet ladies , the town gossip, misunderstandings of the truth, left me guessing. Sarah Price did an excellent job of making you feel each character and bringing the book to life.

Although I have never read anything from this author before, I can see her becoming a favorite. I look forward to many more of her book.

Thank you to NetGalley for letting me enjoy this author.

I received acopy of this book from the publisher. All opinions are my own.

A group of four Amish women get together every other Friday to make cookies for the children who come to church the following Sunday. They discuss their children, their other projects, the fundraising fair for the Amish Aid, and anything else that happens to come to mind. Edna has the best kitchen for cookie making, so the ladies meet at Edna's house. The ladies resist calling their gathering The Amish Cookie Club, but they just can't escape the moniker.

Verna has a daughter Myrna who has been fired from every store in her community because of vocalized opinions. The girls are trying to figure out what to do about Myrna when one hears of a widower/farmer living nearby. He has four children, one still an infant. He needs someone to cook and clean for him as well as watch the children. Myrna takes the job and has the time of her life organizing things in his home, cleaning up what seems like months of dirt accumulation, making cookies with and playing with the children. This is the job that settles Myrna down.

Instead of a story about one person or couple, Sarah Price made this a story about a community with the single person as an underlying story, but it adds to the richness of the narrative. This is a five star book, two thumbs up, and a sugar cookie to eat while you read.

Zebra Publishing and NetGalley.com provided the galley I read. This review is entirely my own thoughts and opinions.

It was fun to read an Amish novel in which the main character is not the typical Amish woman. Myrna has very strong opinions about everything and is not afraid to voice them. She's been let go from every job she's had because of her opinions so the "Cookie Club" has decided that maybe Myrna needs to work in an Amish home helping with children. Since Zeke is a widower with for children, he is happy to have Myrna. There's a mystery surrounding Zeke which is slowly revealed making readers wonder if all the rumors are true. The first of a new series, readers will be anxiously awaiting the next installment. Highly recommended!

When four Amish mothers get their heads together, the plan is sure to be a good one. This book takes you farther than just into their baking club, but, rather, into their family lives. These women have been friends since childhood and are bound by more than baking secrets. They feel a duty to help one another in solving problems with their children...one in particular. When she can’t seem to keep a job because of her forceful personality and overly-organizational behavior, they find just the right place where that is needed. The only question is, can she handle being a nanny to four children when she’s never done it? And, can she get along with their father well enough to finally keep this job?

I received a free copy of this book via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

This is a great new series by Sarah Price. The story revolves around a group of 4 Amish women whose chlidren are now teenagers or young adults. They meet at Edna's house to bake cookies for their church districts desserts for ever other Sunday. While baking and bemoaning their worrisome children they decide to focus on one child at a time and turn them around.

Verna has a 21 year old outspoken daughter who loses every job she has ever had due to speaking her mind. Edna finds the perfect job for Myrna...caring for a very disorganized widower with 4 young children. Myrna spouts off her mind at her interview with the widower setting him straight about her job. Her organization is in for a new experience! I really enjoyed this book!

Great Book !!!

This book was a great start to a new series, I loved the reactions of the characters to the things that happened throughout the book. They were very believable, and they made me want to bake cookies :) .

I thought Myrna was a good character and I loved the play between her and Zeke, I wish it would have been a longer story as I didn't want it to end :)

The only thing that I didn't particularly like was all the bouncing around between the characters, however it was still a great story, and I would definitely recommend adding it to your TBR Pile. I can't wait to read the next book in the series !! I really love Sarah Price's Books :)

I volunteered to read this book from Kingston Books in exchange for my honest feedback, the thoughts and opinions expressed within are my own.

A sweet glimpse into the Amish way of life. Amish language and words sprinkled throughout the book plus yummy cookie recipes at the end!
Myrna Bontrager has a history of losing jobs. Her outspoken nature, honesty,’and her love to organize has cost her more than one job. Finally she is forced to work at her father’s hardware store....cleaning the back room until another job comes along. Her mother is actively involved with several other community members who bake cookies for morning worship

Widower Ezekiel Riehl is in need of help to care for his young children following the tragic loss of his wife to breast cancer.

Will Myrna be able to effective care for four young children, develop a relationship with the children and bring order and organization to the widower’s home and life ?

When Myrna’s mother, and her mother’s friends, hatched a plan to help Myrna find a job that was suited for her, little did they know, it was just what the doctor ordered. I loved reading the love story of Myrna and Zeke. It was also fun to see characters from other books that Sarah has written mentioned at different points of the novel as well. It’s like a little sequel within a different series, and I love it, as we’ve grown to love the characters throughout all of her books. I can’t wait for An Amish Cookie Club Christmas to be released as well!

Myrna's gift is organization; however, what is organized to her may not be organized to someone else. Reorganizing merchandise leads to her job loss. She ends up back in her father's hardware store in the back. One of the Amish women who bakes cookies with her mother suggests Myrna might be able to help a widower by caring for his four children and keeping house while he minds the farm. Zeke makes it clear he lacks interest in marrying again. The rumor mill suggests he does not believe in medicine and that he refused medical treatment for his late wife. Everyone who encounters him finds him to very nice and caring and don't understand how he might be so conservative as to refuse medical treatments but still allow running water and other more progressive things. The Amish women wonder almost immediately if Myrna and Zeke will marry. While this is not great literature, it is the perfect escape. It was the right book at the right time--a clean, wholesome romance. This review is based on an electronic copy received through NetGalley with the expectation of an honest review. (3.5 stars)

This was the first Amish boom I’ve read and I couldn’t put it down. Such a sweet story and very engaging characters. I found myself laughing at Myrna’s outspokenness and the brother teasing. I can wait to read the next book about the Cookie Club!

The Amish Cookie Club is the first book written by Sarah Price in her new series. This is an outstanding story full of faith, understanding, and forgiveness. the characters are well developed and very likeable. The storyline moves along at a fast pace and will definitely keep the reader turning pages to see what happens next.

The Cookie Club is formed quit by accident she four lifelong friends, Edna, Wilma, Verna, and Mary gather to bake cookies every week to serve at their church meals. The ladies also enjoy fellowshipping at these baking sessions and that is where they devise a plan to help one of the daughters through a difficult time. As the story plays out many misunderstandings are brought to light and rumors put to rest. This is a remarkable story.

I was given the opportunity to read this book in advance of its release through Netgalley and Sarah Price. I was not approached by anyone to post a favorable review in exchange for this opportunity. I have rated this book with five stars for meeting my expectations of a wonderful story that I can highly recommend to others.

Congratulations to Sarah Price for writing this fantastic story for her readers to enjoy. I will be anticipating the release of the next book in this series.
