I enjoyed Ivar and Promise. He's a Vampire hybrid and she's a doctor. It was fun seeing him enjoy the nerd dr. I love that its all a continuation and you can see what they other couples are up to. I just love Hope. I can't wait for her to grow up and have a book. The only bad thing is I have to wait awhile for the next book. overall this was a fun read and if you haven't read the dark protectors yet you should really start.

This series is such a lovely, steamy escape and it gets deeper and better with each instalment. I loved Ivar's story and the different push and pull between love and honored promises. Recomend!

Ivar Kjeidsen survived time in a hellish dimension and was rescued by Quade, one of his brothers of the hybrid group known as the Seven. Now this vampire demon Viking has one goal in mind: to release the brother who sacrificed so much for him. Ivar thinks one of the world smartest physicists, Promise Williams, can help achieve that goal no matter the personal cost to her. Promise has spent her whole life from the time she was very young immersed in science. She has no comprehension of anything other than logic, crazy high level math, and her all-consuming work. Promise gets drawn into Ivar’s paranormal world at hyper-speed going from only to believing in pure to science to realizing there is so much more to the universe than she had ever imagined.
Ivar has to deal not only with his Kurjan enemies who also want Promise for her skills, but his growing attraction to a woman he has no plans to stay with as he intends to take the Quade’s place. Promise has a huge learning curve to get up to speed with this new to her world and help Ivar figure his goal if it is at all possible. Not surprisingly, this story has quite a bit of complex science considering what it is theoretical physicists study.
Since this is book #10 in the Dark Protectors series, while it may not be necessary to have read all the books, the story makes much more sense for readers who have read at least some of the prior books. Some storylines are a continuation such as that of Hope who is an important figure for the main characters. Fans of Ms. Zanetti’s series will enjoy this latest addition.

Everything I needed and MORE!! I love a hot alpha male story and Alpha's Promise delivers in leaps and bounds. Extremely well written with explosive chemistry and an amazingly descriptive plotline that jumps off the page and surrounds you. Action packed and bursting with steam. a massive 5 out of 5 stars from me!

There is no denying that Rebecca Zanetti is one of my favourite authors, and always provides vividly descriptive storylines, with strong Alpha males and sassy and determined females. Promise however, steps outside of the normal heroine persona. Her complex academic mind was highlighted, showing her inability to understand the rationale of emotional influences, and often depicting her as distant and aloof. But this didn’t deter me from liking her character, as I felt Ms Zanetti portrayed her perfectly considering her cold and dispassionate upbringing.
Ivar was everything we’ve come to expect from a Demon/Vampire warrior, and finally shows he is recovering from his heinous ordeal suffered in the hell worlds while trying to rescue Quade. So while their coupling was strange or unusual, I didn’t dislike Promise, but I would have liked to see her grow and evolve more emotionally.
For me, this story was lacking compared to others in the series. I felt I had to push through the constant scientific/mathematical jargon, while Promise tried to solve the problem of jumping through dimensions (but don’t use that terminology). I was also extremely disappointed that the issue of Quade has once again been left unresolved for the third book in a row, as it started in Vampire’s Faith, and for goodness sake, what is happening with Grace and Adare? Another storyline that has been dragging on for ages!
This was definitely not up to Ms Zanetti’s usual standard and it’s disappointing that she has fallen into the same habit of cliff-hangers and unresolved storylines that so many other authors find necessary today. Hopefully the next book will give readers some relief from this angst and we’ll get either an outcome for Grace and Adare or the tortured Quade.
I've never rated a Rebecca Zanetti book under 4 stars, but this one is barely 3 stars for me.

Fall in love with the latest Dark Protector story from Rebecca Zanetti, Alpha's Promise! Its an intensely satisfying, exhilarating, twisty read with SCORCHING HOT romance, an epic plot that is constantly loaded with surprises and twists you don't expect along with a hero who is wildly intense and 100% alpha! And just to reassure you, the heroine is no slouch either. She is super SUPER smart and brilliant and kind and readers will no doubt love her too.
I fell head over heels for this newest book by Miss Zanetti. I love the dark wildness that these immortals have. They are irresistible and the way these worlds are changing within the story is incredible and so bold and just made my heart pound. Promise and Ivar are so unique together but hold just as much promise and passion as I have come to expect from this series and vampires. I loved how this book was written. It was evenly paced and exciting as well as sexy as sin and electrifying. I am crazy excited already for the next one and urge readers, if they haven't caught up on this series, do so NOW before the next one releases because it is very worth it I assure you.
Alpha's Promise gets a EXHILARATING FIVE INTENSE STARS!

Alpha's promise is a great read. I think it's best appreciated if read as a part of the series. Ivar had survivor's guilt. His brother is still trapped in an alternate world. A world where he has to fight to stay alive. Ivar is working on a plan to save him when he enlists the help of Promise. A woman who turns out to be the love of his life he never expected. Can he save his brother and have a future with Promise or did he finds her to late?

He always knew he’d keep his Promise❣️
Ivar is the next Dark Protector to find his mate. After returning from the various Hell dimensions, Ivar has to relearn how to exist where he’s not fighting for survival constantly. A human physicist by the name of Promise is who they suspect the Kurjans will be after next. When Ivar jumps the gun by trying to kidnap her driving away from a colleague’s funeral, he wonders if she will ever trust him. But there seems to be more between them....could she be his mate?
Promise has always focused on the maths and equations to find solutions to problems. Now she’s been asked to think outside the box and she’s feeling a bit overwhelmed, especially when the man who tried to kidnap her shows up😍
Absolutely loved this story and have a story of my own to tell. When I applied for this advanced copy I had no idea it was book ten in the series....so I’ve spent the last month reading all of Rebecca’s books so I could catch up and I’m so happy I stumbled across this series, because it is fast becoming one of my favourites❣️I also want to thank Netgalley, the publisher and Rebecca for this advanced copy for which I leave my honest review. Looking forward to Quade’s story next💕

This series is awesome, and Alpha's Promise was great! I hope this series never ends! Ivar swears he will never have a mate and will return to hell. When he meets, Dr Promise, he has a hard decision to make. I loved watching Ivar realize he had found THE ONE. I can't wait for the next book!!

Awesome book! Promise is brilliant but it's her naive slightly quirky personality that lights up the pages of this book. Her responses to sex was truly funny. The whole bomb and burning brooms had me chuckling out loud. This is an intense hard to put down romance. I loved it!

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review. I really enjoyed this book and can't wait to read more of this authors work. I highly recommend this author to friends and family alike.

This is quite a big series, with at least one other related series. I've personally only read one other book before this one, but to honest, it doesn't really matter. While the various characters do all seem to be mentioned and crop up in each book, you can grasp what is going on, how they are all related and details about the world that they live in.
This time the story focuses on Promise, a mathematician. She lives and breaths figures and is working on solving the mysteries of the world (both this and other dimensions) using maths. As she is in danger Ivar is tasked with watching over her and keeping her safe. As the two start to spend time together, it becomes clear that there is something between them and that a relationship begins to grow.
On the whole, I enjoyed the book and the relationship between Promise and Ivar. I did find Promise a little difficult to relate to, she is very logic driven, although ultimately she does rely on faith and emotion.
I enjoyed this instalment and I'd certainly be keen to read more in the series. I'd be particularly keen to see what will happen with the two reluctant mates and also what will happen with the new Fae deamon hybrid that they have found, I assume we can guess who she will end up with?
I received a complimentary copy of this book through NetGalley. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

Rebecca Zanetti expands her Dark Protectors series to other worlds with Alpha’s Promise a tale of vampire-demon hybrid who’s been to a hellish world and now needs help of a human physicist prodigy to get back.
Ivan Kjeidsen vowed to rescue his vampire brother from the hellish world he’s trapped in. Having witnessed its harshness himself and knowing he’s running out of time, Ivan must find a way to convince her to help him and that there is more to the world in which she lives in.
Dr. Promise Williams has been trained to think logically, mathematically without feelings from infancy, but seeing the raw and primitive desire in Ivan’s penetrating stare makes her feel things that can’t be described by formulas. As they work together to find a way to shift between worlds, the emotions that ignite between them are strong enough to endure eternity.
Do you love strong, smart and independent heroines? How about sexy, stubborn and determined alpha males? What about an addicting plot filled with action, sexiness and beloved characters from past books? If you answered yes to any or all of these, then Alpha’s Promise is the paranormal romance book for you.
The banter between Ivan and Promise was phenomenal. Ivan the Viking, gave off a very primal vibe, which of course was completely accurate. But he was also super smart and caring, perfect for Promise.
The overall arc continues with more outstanding world building. I was totally geeking out with all the math and physics pertaining to trans-dimensional travel jargon. The story intensifies with both good and bad guys racing to save their own, making this another exciting and sexy read with a hint of humor and a lot of feels that will hook you from beginning to end.
But the story would definitely not be complete without the charming characters from past books who we (all of us Dark Protector fans) have loved throughout the series including mates and little ones who add a wonderful layer.
Alpha's Promise is book #10 of the Dark Protectors series by Rebecca Zanetti. It is a standalone, paranormal romance, told from several points of view, and has a happy ending.

I don't know how this author does it. With every book I read in this series the more hyped I get for the next one. I can't wait to learn everything and yet I don't want it to be over. This has been one of those rare series that just keeps getting better and more entertaining.
Alpha's Promise is Ivar and Promise's story. These two were such an odd couple and I loved them. Promise is a mathematical genius. She's the typical smart person who struggles socially.
Ivan has lost most of the human side of himself when he was stuck in hell dimensions and also struggles socially. You would think these two would be a disaster together but they just worked.
I'm so excited about the new character that got introduced in this book. So many promising things to come and I can't wait!
Series Review: Fun, fast paced PNR series. Great storyline, characters and suspense. Insta-love, mates for life, possessive Alphas and grotesque evil foes. There are Vampires, Shifters, witches, Demons and more. This is a continued storyline focusing on a different couple per book.

Another powerful story in the Dark Protectors series. I don't know how Rebecca does it every time, but she packs so much story into her books. I adore the world she has created and the characters in it. This one is about Ivar Kjeidsen, a vampire/demon hybrid and one of the Seven. He's been recovering from his injuries from his last trip through the hell dimensions but determined to go back and take his brother Quade's place imprisoning the evil Kurjan Ulrik. The Seven need a human physicist to help them understand dimensions to keep Ulric imprisoned. As things stand the prison dimension they created for him is collapsing and may destroy the earth when it does.
Dr. Promise Williams is one of the world's foremost physicists in black holes, supersymmetry and extra dimensions. For some reason physicists around the world as disappearing and Promise is in danger. Ivar becomes her protection detail. The Seven know physicists are being killed because the Kurjans want Ulrik back and are trying to stop the Seven. Suddenly Promise finds herself with a new understanding of the world she lives in and running for her life with Ivar. I really liked Promise. She has a super brain and gets totally mad scientist when puzzling with a math problem. Ivar find he has a mate and is determined to not bond with her as he's determined to return to the hell realm and not return. The journey to discovering the answers to the world's problems and their love story is full of adventure, passion and expanding understandings. I can't wait for the next one as this series is addicting.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced readers copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Alpha’s Promise was everything that I love about this series. Ivar, while broody and bossy, also held deep emotion and passion. Promise was smart and a little weird, but I loved it. Together they were perfect. I can’t wait for the next book.

Ivar the Viking was thrown through a vortex and suffered hideously as he leapt through unimaginable hell worlds only to find his lost 'brother' Quade and be forced to leave him behind. Ivar is forever changed by his ordeal but has vowed to return and somehow save Quade before the world he is trapped on collides with another. There's a chance that a truly gifted physics professor could solve the equations but their Kurjan enemies are killing any that seem likely to find the answer. Is it possible that Promise is the one who can finally figure out a way ? First of all though the Seven need to convince her to help and it looks like Ivar has most definitely got on the wrong side of her or has he ?
I liked that the author put two very damaged characters together and then let them somehow find out that trust could turn into love. Ivar is initially discombobulated in so many ways and yet downplays his inner violence to become that which Promise can be comfortable around. Promise might not immediately appeal to some readers as she's emotionally stunted but it's clear her upbringing has moulded her into who she is. Promise trusts science as its solid and never lets her down but in doing so she cuts herself off from life and what it means to live. I did find initially that she came across as cold and disconnected but this journey the couple embark on is a twisting one with a very satisfying conclusion. Perhaps not a soft, dewey romance but nevertheless it seemed appropriate for Ivar and Promise.
I think for me as much as I'm enjoying learning about the Seven and their purpose its being back within the Realm with its Vampires, Demons, Fae, Witches and Shifters that I love. For this reader the second half of the book was definitely my favourite part with old friends appearing and I particularly enjoyed the inclusion of the next generation of Dark Protectors as I'm left with so many questions about what is still to come. I will admit there is no clear resolution as this book draws to a close and we are left in many ways with absolutely no progression in terms of the Seven and their fight with the Kurjans . However I did enjoy this story and look forward to what is still to come.
This voluntary take is of a copy I requested from Netgalley and my thoughts and comments are honest and I believe fair.

The story was so good and intriguing it kept you coming back, Ivar and Promise....well I loved promise and I believe if it wasn't for her there relationship wouldn't have worked, Ivar was all, his way no matter the cost or the hurt, It didn't come off to me as a love story. I enjoyed Promise's relationship with the woman I found it funny and enduring. I loved how her mind worked and just loved her,
**I received an ARC of this book in order to provide an honest review*

Alpha's Promise is Ivar's turn in the spotlight! The Viking seeks to find a way to acclimate to life on Earth after being trapped in the bubble world for untold years to keep Ulric imprisoned. When he is dumped back into our timeline, he is badly hurt after traveling through loops in so many hell worlds he lost count, and he is definitely lacking social skills after so much time alone. He is sent to observe a beautiful physics professor whose knowledge may be the key to freeing the last remaining member of the Seven and destroying Ulric once and for all. What could possibly go wrong?
Promise is not really very well equipped to handle social situations either. She is basically the female equivalent of Sheldon from The Big Bang Theory, and she may be even more socially awkward thanks to parents who placed a premium on education over emotional interaction. I have to admit, I found it very difficult to connect with her or even really like her for most of the story and that was a struggle for me.
Fortunately there was plenty of action to go around as the Seven grapple with the fact that their existence has been revealed to leaders of the Realm and the Kurjans attack and infiltrate from unexpected sources. Promise does actually make strides in her work and her relationship skills as they go along, and Ivar finds himself slowly returning to life in every way that matters. He did have some deliciously alpha sexy moments, but his unwavering loyalty and commitment to freeing Quade suddenly comes into question for him as he realizes he may have another reason for living now.
Alpha's Promise was not my favorite of the series so far but it was still a great read with some advancement of the overarching storyline and interaction with plenty of familiar faces from the Dark Protectors world.

The next release in the Dark Protectors is about Ivar and Promise. Ivar is one of the seven and Dr Promise Williams is a math professor the group wants to help rescue Quade. He is the last seven brother still trap in another world.
Promise is very no nonsense and takes learning about this new world very well. She’s very logical. Ivar just wants to go back and honor his vow of saving Quade. They make a good couple and there’s some action and sexy times as with all in this series by RZ.
The story line was moved up a little with one and I look forward to the next release.
