28 Dates by Stacey Lynn was an enjoyable read about finding the “right” one. Caitlin Pappas does not want a relationship. They are not for her. When her longtime friends-with-benefits wants more, they end things. Months later she is going to beta test a new app at work about finding the one in 28 dates.

Jonas Reeves fell for Caitlin, but when he wanted to take it to the next level, she did not, even if he did mean something to her. Now she is dating off the app and Jonas sees his opportunity to win her back. There is some back and forth as Caitlin is not ready to let Jonas in, but he is not giving up. 28 Dates by Stacey Lynn was an entertaining friends-to-lovers second chance romance

Happy reading!

I have read a few of Stacey Lynn's books prior to 28 Dates, and for the most part I have really enjoyed them. This book, though, didn't quite hit the mark for me. I liked the premise, with Jonas and Caitlyn as friends with benefits, an arrangement that they've had for a while. Jonas would like more, but Caitlyn wants to keep things the way they've been.

The writing was pretty good, especially the beginning. I found my mind drifting, though, in the second half.

Maybe it's just me... many people will love 28 Dates, and while I liked it, I'm not sure I'll read it again. I will, however, keep my eyes out for more books by Stacey Lynn.

A very enjoyable story.

28 Days by Stacey Lynn was good, but not quite what I’ve come to expect from her. Jonas and Caitlin have had a FWB affair for over two years and everything was fine, until Jonas decied he wanted to be a real couple.
Caitlin is a commitment-phobe due to her past, and instead of embracing Jonas’ wishes she pushes him away, so far and so badly, he ends things.
Caitlin finds herself alone and her app tech boss talks her into testing out his latest design.
A dating app, of all things!
She’s set to go on 28 dates to find her soulmate. But, he’s been waiting in the sidelines all along.
So, now she’s out there in the real world meeting the creepy guys, the liars and maybe, just maybe the nice ones too.
When Jonas discovers what’s happening, he takes matters into his own hands. If Caitlin is ready to date, then there’s only one guy for her.
Him. he’s loved her for years, she just needs to open her eyes and see him.
Who will she pick? Will she see the truth before it’s too late?

I’ve been a fan of the author since reading Fake Wife. So I was excited to get back into the Crazy Love world!

28 Dates was a refreshing read! It’s takes the classic scenario of a friends-with-benefits relationship, where the man usually has the fear of commitment, and reverses the roles. So when Jonas steps up and asks Caitlin for more, fear takes hold and she ends their once easy and uncomplicated relationship. This book was a sweet and emotional love story that makes you open your eyes to what’s right in front of you.

While the story has plenty of hilarious dialogue and disastrous dates (i.e. toe guy….ew!), thanks in part to Caitlin’s boss coercing her into testing his new dating app, it was the interactions between Caitlin and Jonas that really tugged at my heartstrings. The chemistry between them may not have burned through the pages all the time, but it was always there—simmering and building with every interaction or tender moment or affectionate gesture they shared. The heart wants what the heart wants, and this story clearly shows that no matter how hard you try or do whatever it takes to move on, the heart can’t and won’t let go.

I really enjoyed this book. As stated before, it didn’t contain as much steam as the previous books in the series. But where the story may have lacked in heat, it made up for with its emotional struggles each character endured. Even though it isn’t necessary to read the previous books, I highly recommend starting from the very beginning of the series. The author’s writing was wonderful, as always, with a relatable story line and narrative that blended nicely.

Jonas and Cait were involved in a casual relationship for a couple of years until he wanted them to start dating and she panicked and backed away. He decides that he needs to move forward with his life as she will never see him as more than a friend so he starts dating someone else.

Due to her past Cait has no interest in love or a relationship but when her boss, who happens to be one of her best friends, asks her to try out a dating app that he created she can’t say no. The dates that she experiences will have you laughing out loud as they range from off the chart disasters to an interesting evening but definitely not someone she can imagine in her future. When she finally connects with someone she wants to meet will he be her Prince Charming or will the surprise be on her?

This is a second chance at love story as Cait discovers what and who she wants in her future after a few twists and turns.

This story is a good read, and the only reason it is not a 5 star is because of the belabored actions from Caitlin, the h. She reads very non-committal, but she is also interested in H. This part of the story took several chapters, and the angst factor was medium. Except for Caitlin's commitment issues and self-talk, the characters were very likable. There is an HEA, but the time "together as a couple" was not long enough, for my preferences. This is definitely a feel good book! I look forward to reading more by this author.

This was the first book I've read by Stacey Lynn and I really enjoyed it. I loved Jonas and Caitlin so much and it was so nice to read a book where the main characters had a previous relationship and had to find their way back to each other. Seeing Caitlin's disaster dates was hilarious and a bit horrifying too. I don't think I ever want to try online dating. Caitlin was such a great character and I loved her spunk but also her sweetness and how she was able to realize what she wanted even when it scared her. She did not irritate me at all and I understood her stance on love. Jonas was also so very sweet and swoon worthy. I loved his devotion to Caitlin and winning her heart. I also loved Trey and I want to see him find love. This was such a good, fun, and fast read. I can't wait to try something else by Stacey Lynn!

Trey and Corbin were Caitlin’s best friends. More like older very protective brothers. Caitlin works for Trey’s assistant, that consisted of managing his professional life down to the very second and being his pseudo mom. Caitlin had a double major in finance and marketing. Caitlin loves Trey’s friendship as well as working for him. Trey is an app developer. She had know Trey as well as Corbin for years. Trey and Corbin had saved Caitlin from a scary encounter with a drunken butthole in a stairwell in her college dorm. After that they became her protectors. Than they became her brothers. Trey doesn’t like Caitlin to use the word adorable to describe him in anyway. He is built to be in the middle of a boxing ring. He was also a huge geek. Brains and brawn with a quirk smile with a big protective streak when it came to her. Caitlin will never understand why Trey who never sees a woman longer than a week or two is obsessed with creating a dating apps. He said that’s the big money makers but she doesn’t believe that. Trey likes women, Caitlin believes his relationships don’t last because when he’s too scatterbrained and singularly focused on his his job to remember he has a woman waiting for him when he gets into his work. But Caitlin had sworn off serious relationships years ago. Trey has been trying to design an app focused long term relationships not short term physical appeal. Trey asked her just to try the app for a month. He added it wasn’t like she had to marry the guys you meet. You’ll finally move past He Who Was Not To Be Named in the weeks following the dissolve of their relationship months ago. Maybe Trey had a point she hadn’t hooked up with anyone since Jonas and her ended. Because Trey will do anything for her , she said she’d think about it. After she did some things for Trey workwise she called it an early day and decided to go looking for lunch. She ended up outside Dirty Martini’s - the bar Jonas now owns. She hadn’t been there much in the last few months. Hard to return to your favorite place when your friends-with-benefits arrangement comes to an abrupt end. But after six months that’s called water under the bridge. Mostly Caitlin misses Jonas- his laughter and humor and how easy it was to fall not only into bed with him, but into a friendship. So while she misses him desperately, she still let him go so he could find his own happiness. She wanted that fo9r him. Continually putting herself in front of Jonas, able to look but not touch does weird things to her mental health. Like, currently making Trey’s app seem like a little better idea. Maybe Caitlin should find a new favorite place altogether. Jonas liked Ashley but not in that special way he still gets a pain in his gut everytime Caitlin walks through the door. He wasn’t over Caitlin but he wanted more. His reaction to Caitlin is everything he wants to have with Ashley. Caitlin realized Trey and and her friend Teagan were right she does need a new man. Six months is quite the dry spell and yet every time she has an option to go home with someone , a memory of Jonas unbidden pops into her brain and all her interest in the stranger evaporates. Jonas has ruined her for sex with other men and that’s a bummer. It’s not the same as it used to be but Jonas always understood her in a way few do. With corbin and Teagan living on the coast now they are married. Trey is her only friend. And even he is a space cadet for much of the time. She only sees him once a week or so to watch football and baseball games together. Jonas broke things off with Ashley Jonas has been in love with Caitlin for almost two years. Than Jonas called Trey and asked him to stop at the bar nad have a drink on him. Trey agreed. Trey is protective of Caitlin. He and Corbin always have been. Caitlin had never said much about her past to Jonas other than her parents were rich hot shots who could barely be bothered to raise her. She’d been mailly raised by a nanny and housekeeper. Trey told Jonas how they met. He and Jonas had liked a girl and went to the girls dorm for a party. They were at the end of a hall and heard a scream . Some butthole had Caitlin against the wall . Blood was all over her nose and a corner of her mouth. The guy had beat her up up a little to stop her from screaming. Corbin and Trey beat the hell out of the man. He did touch her though. Then he also said she had went to her parents afterwards and they turned their backs on her when she went to them for help afterwards. Trey said he knew Jonas had eft caitlin because he loved her. Trey added if he wanted a real chance with her, he’s gotta know what he’s dealing with. Caitlin was all kinds of messed up in her head. Jinas asked Trey if he had his back in this. Trey said go for it you’re good for her. Caitlin had received her first set of matches and out of the sixty five men she matches with a few did actually interest her. She went on her first date with Brett.
I loved this book. I read it in one setting as I didn’t want to put this down and seldom did. This book caught my attention from the beginning to the very end which I absolutely loved. I really enjoyed the fact it was a woman who only wanted sex with no strings and had already been with Jonas this way for two years. It’s usually men especially walking away because the relationship wasn’t progressing the way he wanted. I loved Jonas and Caitlin together and how they interacted. I also loved Caitlin's relationship with Trey and Corbin and why it started. Also loved how Caitlin become best friends with Corbin's wife Teagan. I loved the plot and pace of this book. I loved the characters and the ins and outs of this book and I highly recommend it.

This is a quirky second chance romance and was just plain fun! Caitlin and Jonas used to have a friends with benefits relationship until Jonas wanted more and Caitlin freaked and put an end to it and they had to go back to only friends or nothing. Now she is helping out her friend by beta testing a new app which promises to find true love in 28 dates, yea, she is not buying it since she doesn't believe in love. But she may have already met the one...Now she is having dates in Jonas' bar and he is witnessing it and now he has to figure out how to slip in and be one of her dates. Can he and will he finally be more than friends? This was a quick read but a fun one.

Caitlin is so sure she’s not relationship material. She doesn’t need or want a relationship. So, when her friend-with-benefits Jonas wants more, it’s obvious she should turn him down right? She doesn’t want that...or does she?
She’s helping her boss by testing out his new dating app. But, the more losers she dates, the more she thinks she may have made a mistake letting Jonas go. It might be too late.
I loved the premise for this story. Self realization and possible love lost play a big part in Caitlin and Jonas’s lives.
5 stars!!

I'm a avid Stacey Lynn reader. Her books range from fun and loose to angsty.

28 Dates is about Caitlin and Jonas and part of the Crazy Love series.

OK... I've never had a Friend with Benefits so I can't even imagine what that is like let alone your FWB suddenly saying they want more! Now... Like Caitlin I' had a heck of a time finding someone/committing. Feelings are dangerous... and Caitlin agrees until suddenly Jonas isn't there anymore and it's awkward when they see each other and then along come a wrench and maybe a little help for Jonas in the form of a dating app.

I always enjoy Stacey's books. Her characters are always developed and her story lines just flow. Sometimes I run the gamut of emotions. For 28 I was frustrated, angry, baffled, laughing and slightly traumatized by a foot fetish in public. But never did I willingly put down my kindle and walk away. I didn't stop reading until the absolute last minute and even then I still had my reader open as I was walking out the door!I'm really hoping the next book is about Trey!

Jonas and Caitlyn give us the perfect second chance story. I liked that they had history. I didn't like that we saw them together very little in the book. I did like the premise of her testing a new dating AP. I did like the scenes where Jonas and Cait are together. I loved Jonas' bar and the name of the bar. I enjoyed this book.

Caitlin and Jonas are long time friends. He's in the process of buying the local watering hole near Caitlin's house. She's an assistant for one of her best friends who's developing a dating app. When her boss asks her to beta the new app she's hesitant at first but reluctantly agrees.

Jonas can't stand the thought of Caitlin going on dates with anyone but him. He devises a plan to "meet" Caitlin on the dating app.

Y'all this book is so cute. Some parts are funny but really it's just a cute love story. I enjoy reading Stacey's books. This one is a perfect friends to lovers romance. You should definitely check this one out!

This was my first Stacey Lynn's book, and won't be my last! This is the third book in the Crazy Love Series, and I absolutely have to read the first books in this Series! This is a great friends to lovers story. Caitlin and Jonas's story is sweet and beautifully written. Jonas is so handsome! The supporting characters are also very interesting. I love the friendship in this story. I enjoyed reading this story, and I'm looking forward for more books written by Stacey Lynn. I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.

Another solid offering from Stacey Lynn. I stated in my review of the last book in this series, Knocked Up, that there isn’t really crossover. Well, there is some crossover from the first book, Fake Wife, into this one. I really enjoyed Fake Wife so think you should read it, but it is in no way necessary to this story. Just some character crossover, not any storyline crossover.

Jonas found a firm place in my heart from the beginning of this book. To some extent, I could understand Caitlyn’s trepidation with relationships. Yet at times it seemed a bit like she was trying to convince herself more than her friends or the reader. Especially once it was so very obvious that she wasn’t getting over Jonas any time soon. Caitlyn has a revelation, of sorts, a ways into this story about why she isn’t interested in relationships. It’s a very honest and touching moment and helped to make her a more sympathetic character to me.

As much as I love Jonas, I felt his duplicity went on a bit too long. I was starting to get annoyed with his games and was very happy once things finally started falling into place. Without giving spoilers, let’s just say he’s lucky he’s so lovable and Caitlyn did a lot of soul searching in the month or so the bulk of this story took place.

I am definitely a fan of the chemistry this author writes and her couples always give me warm-fuzzies. I couldn’t wait for the lines between Caitlyn and Jonas to uncross so they could start being more than friends.

KRISTEN’S REVIEW
Caitlin and Jonas are the epitome of slow burn.
The book started off in a literal bang, however, the rest of the book was a slow and connective journey on their growing relationship.
After I finished their story, I found myself looking for a show to watch before bed and thought, “What did I just watch that I liked so much?” and I realized, it was this book! I loved that Stacey was able to be vivid in her details enough that I was able to see it play out like a movie. I realized this and stopped and let it play again in my mind. I had just finished the book and I missed it already.
Jonas wanted more from Caitlin from the beginning. His patience and determination to let her see him, for him, not as a scary commitment, not as someone who may love and leave her. But for his honest feelings about wanting HER, was beautiful.

Caitlin doesn't take risks with relationships. She has a tight group of friends that have had her back for years and she's closed off to the possibility of more. So when her friends with benefits go to Jonas wants to go on a real date she shuts down.
Jonas knows he pushed too hard and he hasn't gotten over Caitlin. When he finds out she's testing a new dating app he wants in. Now how to figure out wooing the girl he can't get out of his head without giving away too much. Can he finally snag her heart or is he destined to fail?

3.5 stars. I’ve read a lot of this authors book, and really enjoy them a lot, but this one seemed to drag in places that usually doesn’t happen in her books. Caitlin has a friends with benefits relationship with Jonas, but when he wants more with her, she gets cold feet and backs out of the relationship. Although you can totally get why she has relationship issues, it seemed to drag on way too long before she realizes her mistakes. Although I will say, some of the dares on Trey’s dating app are pretty damn hysterical, there’s only so much you can do with two people who can’t figure things out. Loved the secondary characters, especially Tucker. Loved the premise of the story, just seemed too long in places.

I voluntarily reviewed an ARC copy of this book.

3 1/2 Stars

Caitlin and Jonas have had a friends with benefits relationship for 2 years and when Jonas says he wants "more" ... Caitlin says no and breaks it off with him completely. Six months down the road when Caitlin is trying a new dating app for her friend, Jonas takes this as his chance to win her over for good.

Although the premise of this book is good, I found that I just couldn't get into it. I liked the charpacters well enough, I just thought that the book could have been more by detailing more of her "28" dates ... which we only heard about 3 or 4. But I really like that it was a flip of gender with Caitlin being the one that was a commitment phoebe and Jonas wanting "more". It was a good read, but I liked the last book in the series "Knocked Up" better.

I received an early copy courtesy of Random House-Loveswept through NetGalley in exchange for a honest review.

I was excited to read Caitlin and Jonas' story after meeting them in the first book in this series but I'm not sure this book lived up to my expectations.

Caitlin is a commitment-phobe. She's the one ends things when Jonas says that he wants more. This is where things started to get disappointing for me. She, who admittedly dates around and has no shame about this (as she shouldn't), doesn't pursue anyone else during the six months between her ending things with Jonas and starting to use the app. But Jonas, who was so in love with her that he couldn't keep going in this arrangement, was already dating someone else before things even ended and stayed with that woman for the entire six months they were apart. Disappointment amplified.

These characters are connected to the ones in the first book in this series but there still seems to be zero overlap with the characters from book 2. I'm so confused about how that book fits in this series. I usually love books by this author. This one was ok but just missed the mark for me.
