This is a quirky second chance romance and was just plain fun! Caitlin and Jonas used to have a friends with benefits relationship until Jonas wanted more and Caitlin freaked and put an end to it and they had to go back to only friends or nothing. Now she is helping out her friend by beta testing a new app which promises to find true love in 28 dates, yea, she is not buying it since she doesn't believe in love. But she may have already met the one...Now she is having dates in Jonas' bar and he is witnessing it and now he has to figure out how to slip in and be one of her dates. Can he and will he finally be more than friends? This was a quick read but a fun one.

Caitlin is so sure she’s not relationship material. She doesn’t need or want a relationship. So, when her friend-with-benefits Jonas wants more, it’s obvious she should turn him down right? She doesn’t want that...or does she?
She’s helping her boss by testing out his new dating app. But, the more losers she dates, the more she thinks she may have made a mistake letting Jonas go. It might be too late.
I loved the premise for this story. Self realization and possible love lost play a big part in Caitlin and Jonas’s lives.
5 stars!!

I'm a avid Stacey Lynn reader. Her books range from fun and loose to angsty.
28 Dates is about Caitlin and Jonas and part of the Crazy Love series.
OK... I've never had a Friend with Benefits so I can't even imagine what that is like let alone your FWB suddenly saying they want more! Now... Like Caitlin I' had a heck of a time finding someone/committing. Feelings are dangerous... and Caitlin agrees until suddenly Jonas isn't there anymore and it's awkward when they see each other and then along come a wrench and maybe a little help for Jonas in the form of a dating app.
I always enjoy Stacey's books. Her characters are always developed and her story lines just flow. Sometimes I run the gamut of emotions. For 28 I was frustrated, angry, baffled, laughing and slightly traumatized by a foot fetish in public. But never did I willingly put down my kindle and walk away. I didn't stop reading until the absolute last minute and even then I still had my reader open as I was walking out the door!I'm really hoping the next book is about Trey!

I received a free copy of this book from the publisher.
Caitlin and Jonas are long time friends. He's in the process of buying the local watering hole near Caitlin's house. She's an assistant for one of her best friends who's developing a dating app. When her boss asks her to beta the new app she's hesitant at first but reluctantly agrees.
Jonas can't stand the thought of Caitlin going on dates with anyone but him. He devises a plan to "meet" Caitlin on the dating app.
Y'all this book is so cute. Some parts are funny but really it's just a cute love story. I enjoy reading Stacey's books. This one is a perfect friends to lovers romance. You should definitely check this one out!

This was my first Stacey Lynn's book, and won't be my last! This is the third book in the Crazy Love Series, and I absolutely have to read the first books in this Series! This is a great friends to lovers story. Caitlin and Jonas's story is sweet and beautifully written. Jonas is so handsome! The supporting characters are also very interesting. I love the friendship in this story. I enjoyed reading this story, and I'm looking forward for more books written by Stacey Lynn. I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.

Another solid offering from Stacey Lynn. I stated in my review of the last book in this series, Knocked Up, that there isn’t really crossover. Well, there is some crossover from the first book, Fake Wife, into this one. I really enjoyed Fake Wife so think you should read it, but it is in no way necessary to this story. Just some character crossover, not any storyline crossover.
Jonas found a firm place in my heart from the beginning of this book. To some extent, I could understand Caitlyn’s trepidation with relationships. Yet at times it seemed a bit like she was trying to convince herself more than her friends or the reader. Especially once it was so very obvious that she wasn’t getting over Jonas any time soon. Caitlyn has a revelation, of sorts, a ways into this story about why she isn’t interested in relationships. It’s a very honest and touching moment and helped to make her a more sympathetic character to me.
As much as I love Jonas, I felt his duplicity went on a bit too long. I was starting to get annoyed with his games and was very happy once things finally started falling into place. Without giving spoilers, let’s just say he’s lucky he’s so lovable and Caitlyn did a lot of soul searching in the month or so the bulk of this story took place.
I am definitely a fan of the chemistry this author writes and her couples always give me warm-fuzzies. I couldn’t wait for the lines between Caitlyn and Jonas to uncross so they could start being more than friends.

KRISTEN’S REVIEW
Caitlin and Jonas are the epitome of slow burn.
The book started off in a literal bang, however, the rest of the book was a slow and connective journey on their growing relationship.
After I finished their story, I found myself looking for a show to watch before bed and thought, “What did I just watch that I liked so much?” and I realized, it was this book! I loved that Stacey was able to be vivid in her details enough that I was able to see it play out like a movie. I realized this and stopped and let it play again in my mind. I had just finished the book and I missed it already.
Jonas wanted more from Caitlin from the beginning. His patience and determination to let her see him, for him, not as a scary commitment, not as someone who may love and leave her. But for his honest feelings about wanting HER, was beautiful.

Caitlin doesn't take risks with relationships. She has a tight group of friends that have had her back for years and she's closed off to the possibility of more. So when her friends with benefits go to Jonas wants to go on a real date she shuts down.
Jonas knows he pushed too hard and he hasn't gotten over Caitlin. When he finds out she's testing a new dating app he wants in. Now how to figure out wooing the girl he can't get out of his head without giving away too much. Can he finally snag her heart or is he destined to fail?

3.5 stars. I’ve read a lot of this authors book, and really enjoy them a lot, but this one seemed to drag in places that usually doesn’t happen in her books. Caitlin has a friends with benefits relationship with Jonas, but when he wants more with her, she gets cold feet and backs out of the relationship. Although you can totally get why she has relationship issues, it seemed to drag on way too long before she realizes her mistakes. Although I will say, some of the dares on Trey’s dating app are pretty damn hysterical, there’s only so much you can do with two people who can’t figure things out. Loved the secondary characters, especially Tucker. Loved the premise of the story, just seemed too long in places.

Caitlin and Jonas have had a friends with benefits relationship for 2 years and when Jonas says he wants "more" ... Caitlin says no and breaks it off with him completely. Six months down the road when Caitlin is trying a new dating app for her friend, Jonas takes this as his chance to win her over for good.
Although the premise of this book is good, I found that I just couldn't get into it. I liked the charpacters well enough, I just thought that the book could have been more by detailing more of her "28" dates ... which we only heard about 3 or 4. But I really like that it was a flip of gender with Caitlin being the one that was a commitment phoebe and Jonas wanting "more". It was a good read, but I liked the last book in the series "Knocked Up" better.
I received an early copy courtesy of Random House-Loveswept through NetGalley in exchange for a honest review.

I was excited to read Caitlin and Jonas' story after meeting them in the first book in this series but I'm not sure this book lived up to my expectations.
Caitlin is a commitment-phobe. She's the one ends things when Jonas says that he wants more. This is where things started to get disappointing for me. She, who admittedly dates around and has no shame about this (as she shouldn't), doesn't pursue anyone else during the six months between her ending things with Jonas and starting to use the app. But Jonas, who was so in love with her that he couldn't keep going in this arrangement, was already dating someone else before things even ended and stayed with that woman for the entire six months they were apart. Disappointment amplified.
These characters are connected to the ones in the first book in this series but there still seems to be zero overlap with the characters from book 2. I'm so confused about how that book fits in this series. I usually love books by this author. This one was ok but just missed the mark for me.

It did take me a while to warm up to this story but in the end I was glad I stuck - all the comings and goings make sense when you have the whole picture. Caitlin and Jonas have chemistry but different goals in a relationship - they try on many hats on their way to lasting love.

I loved Jonas and Caitlin! She was beta testing a dating app after dumping Jonas because she did not want a relationship. Only she thinks she made a big mistake! Jonas does too. So he signs on the dating app with his middle name and proceeds to woo her back. This is a slow burn, second chance, and friends to lovers trope. So in my opinion one of the best! 5 stars

I received an advance copy from Netgalley for an honest review. Caitlin has huge commitment issues and is in a pretty good sex only relationship with Jonas until Jonas wants more. When he says he found someone and Caitlin says "I hope it works out", I gasped. I could feel the paid Jonas was feeling at that moment. Months past both are not happy, Caitlin always goes to Jonas's bar The Dirty Martini for food. He catches her looking at a dating app that her friend created. *******Spoiler don't read further if you haven't read the book. ******************* Hmmm, Jonas pretends to be her mate on this app and the rest is history. These two.....the reader could not help but root for them and I love, love, loved the epilogue where the reader got to see how these two end up. Great, great story with some oh so hot, hot sex scenes.

I must say that Jonas and Caitlin definitely take the long way around to find their HEA. First they were friends with benefits, but when Jonas wanted more, Caitlin's commitment issues had her withdrawing and turning Jonas down. Caitlin is left adrift and decides that she really doesn't need anyone anyways. Then her boss and friend comes up with a computer app that he wants Caitlin to test. It is supposed to help you find your "forever" One. Caitlin decides to give it 28 days. After the first disastrous date, Caitlin decides that she needs a safe place for her meets and asks Jonas if she can use his club. What else can he say, but "Yes" and then sit back and watch things develop.
After breaking off with Caitlin, Jonas gets involved with another lady for 6 months, but then realizes that it isn't going to work between them. He then agrees to let Caitlin use his club to meet men even though it is torture. Jonas then decides to make his own profile on the new dating app and with the help of the developer Jonas gets added to Caitlin's list under a different name. Parts of this story were a little drawn out, but all in all it is a good book.
I received an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest and freely given review. All thoughts expressed above are my own.

A fun book with a different storyline. It was great to see past characters and I hope to read another book in this series.

This is Lynn at her best. The writing is great, the characters and dialogue realistic, and the emotions are strong - in and out of the bedroom. My only problems were two-fold.
First, for Jonas to spring a change in their relationship on Caitlin like that seemed cruel. She was in a very vulnerable position, and after two years he had to have known how skittish she was. (He certainly did six months later.) He didn't even give her time to think things over, to consider it at all. A "now or never" ultimatum was not the brightest idea he'd ever had.
Secondly, the book title is 28 Dates. The epilogue mentions 28 dates. In actual fact, there were less than a quarter of that mentioned in the story; six, to be exact. (Yes, I did go back and check numbers.)
But the rest? The secondary characters were great, it was nice to catch up with Corbin and Teagan, and the pitfalls of online dating were painfully relatable. Emotions and humour ran high, the steam ran hot. All in all a highly enjoyable read. I will keep my fingers crossed that Trey gets his own HEA soon!

Friends are a special gift. Friends with benefits are an extra perk...until it goes wrong. Commitment-phobe Caitlin learns the hard way that sometimes you fall and don't realize it until you get to stand up by yourself. This friends to lovers story is a detour. They were friends with benefits until he wanted more. He will always want more but she isn't on the same page or even in the same book. Or do she thought.
Things change. People come and go. Some are constants. Some could be swept up by the next smiling face. Caitlin needs to figure out what she wants and how to get it before it's too late.

This was a great read! I liked both main characters and read it almost straight through. Really enjoyed!

I started 28 Dates being excited about it. I had read the previous two books and liked them. So, my expectations for this book were high. I figured that a book about friends with benefits relationship turning into more would be a good read. Instead, I got a book that had me so disinterested in the characters that I almost skipped over the epilogue.
The plot for 28 Dates was interesting. Caitlin is a commitment-phobe. She refuses to do relationships. Her long term friends with benefits ended because Jonas developed feelings for her, and it scared Caitlin. So, she was surprised when her best friend asked her to beta test a dating app that he developed. All she had to do was go on 28 dates. She reluctantly agrees. The same time that she becomes the beta tester, she discovers that her feelings for Jonas haven’t disappeared over the last six months. How is she going to deal with her feelings and date at the same time? Will Caitlin finally realize that she is worth a relationship?
28 Dates started strong. I was enjoying Caitlin’s forays into Dirty’s. I was enjoying watching her friendship with Jonas deepen. Then she started beta testing that app. That is when the book began to go downhill.
The author did do a great job of showing what kind of nutcases there are when online dating. The foot fetish guy had me in tears laughing. That was genuinely funny.
I thought that Caitlin setting up her dates in Jonas’s bar was weird. I know that she felt safe there but couldn’t she pick up on the jealousy vibes from him? He wasn’t subtle about how he felt.
I did like Caitlin. She was sweet. She didn’t take any crap from any of the people she met from the app. She was a pro at putting Jonas in his place. I also liked her outlook on life.
Jonas skeeved me out. He couldn’t get over Caitlin. He acted like a toddler when she started bringing dates into his bar. Instead of coming clean about his feelings, he did something that made me go “Ewww.” I got stalker like vibes from him the entire book. What he did only reinforced my feelings on that.
The romance angle wasn’t there, even at the end of the book. Because I didn’t feel the romance, the sex scenes didn’t do it for me. Yes, they were hot, but I couldn’t get into them.
The end of the book was alright. I liked that everything was wrapped up, but it didn’t feel right to me. And the epilogue. Usually, I would be beyond happy for news like that. But this time, I was like, “eh.”
I would give 28 Dates an Adult rating. There is sex. There is language. There is violence. I would recommend that no one under the age of 21 read this book.
I an on the fence if I would reread 28 dates I am on the fence if I would recommend it to family and friends.
