I admire Anne’s transparency as a writer and in this book, she once again shares her personal encounters with the third person of the Holy Trinity. She explains how the Holy Spirit has been there for her throughout her life. How He has made Himself known to her, revealing His love for her time and time again. She explains His roles in our lives and how we have an abundant life with Him living in us. I have thoroughly enjoyed reading “Jesus In Me” and I am thankful for Anne and her willingness to share her experiences with us.

“Jesus in Me” by Anne Graham Lotz

“Jesus in Me” by Anne Graham Lotz gives Christian believers insight about the person and character of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is a person who has a mind, a will, and emotions.
In the Old Testament, God gave the Holy Spirit to a specific person for a certain time and purpose. Then the Holy Spirit departed from the individual after the person fulfilled their purpose. When Jesus departed from the earth and the disciples met in the upper room, the Holy Spirit came upon them to stay. The Holy Spirit now comes into anyone who places faith in Jesus Christ. A new believer also has the same amount of the Holy Spirit as someone who has been walking with Jesus for decades.
The Holy Spirit gives us direction and guidance in our lives if we allow him to use us for his purpose. Anne reveals times in her life where the holy spirit guided her to accomplish his mission by sending her to a foreign country to preach God’s word and give her message even though she was met with opposition. She also reveals the times when the Holy Spirit has asked her to do certain tasks even if they were insignificant or didn’t make complete sense.
In her book, Anne also talks about the different spiritual gifts that are given to each believer. When we use our spiritual gifts it benefits the church. Not every believer has the same spiritual gifts. The Christian body benefits when believers are using their gifts and it strengthens the power of the Christian church.
The main theme running through the book is how the Holy Spirit points us to Jesus in revealing him to us and also the people that come into contact with us. Our purpose in life is to display God’s glory and complete God’s personal mission for us. The Holy Spirit gives us guidance to the plan that God has for us.
“Jesus in Me” is a must for anyone who wants to learn more about the Holy Spirit.

I loved this book.
The author gives examples from her own life which makes the book more interesting.
The information on the Holy Spirit was given in a way that is easy to understand for someone who has not studied the Holy Spirit.
At the same time was a fresh approach for others who might be more familiar.
I loved the sequence of the chapters and how they built on each other.

I enjoy Anne Graham Lotz’s inspirational style of writing, and her newest book, "Jesus in Me", did not disappoint!

Anne effectively interlaces her personal stories with Scripture to illustrate and define “The Person” of The Holy Spirit and how He is at work in her life. I found " Jesus in Me" to be genuine and at times, heart-wrenching. It encouraged me to examine my inner heart and my own weaknesses so that I would seek a deepened awareness of and appreciation for The Holy Spirit, His purpose, and HIs power.

It seemed like Anne was talking directly to me - - as if we were having a personal conversation. This made the book even more meaningful and very enjoyable to read.

Recently, I finished reading Jesus in Me by Anne Graham Lotz - in a weekend. Having read several Lotz books, I kind of knew what to expect and Anne Graham Lotz did not disappoint me. However, this book is saturated with the Holy Spirit which makes it deeply personal (and can be for you, too). I found it compelling, after many years of walking with Jesus, to discover in a fresh way, the immense gift Jesus sent us in a constant companion. A relationship with Jesus deepens with time as we spend time with Him. The book, Jesus In Me, finds anew that He's not just in my imagination when I have prayer or praise time or in the Words that leap off the page of His book, the Bible*. He chooses to be my personal constant partner/best friend/wise guide/rabbi/all knowing counselor and so much more. Note the word constant. Everything we can imagine at God's access or in God's perfect mind is at the access of the Holy Spirit and He shares it with me, if I invite Him to do so. It is His good pleasure. Anne Graham Lotz successfully portrays Jesus' deep, deep love for us, His longing to spend time with us, the ache in His heart for us to one day be with Him. That is one facet of why He gifted us with the Holy Spirit part of Himself. You miss a huge blessing if you decline to discover the Holy Spirit in your life. Certainly, this is not the only book on the subject, but this one is blessed, inspired, and truly a must read.

*both the Hebrew Bible (commonly the Old Testament) and the Christian New Testament.

Anne never disappoints! Her writing is informative, inspiring, thought provoking and motivating. Anne shares her personal experience of the Holy Spirit’s presence in her life and challenges every reader to experience the same. She invites you into her world with her real-life examples, transparency, engaging illustrations and of course, her powerful application questions. Anne wonderfully defines the third person of the Trinity utilizing scripture verses and in the same fashion brilliantly describes the names of the Holy Spirit that define His beautiful character.
Whether or not you are a follower of Jesus, Anne desires for you to know Jesus.

Anne helps the non-believer discover how much the Holy Spirit loves you and desires for you to have a personal relationship with Jesus.

Anne inspires the believer to know how much the Holy Spirit loves you through His presence, power, and equipping in daily living. She reminds us that the Holy Spirit’s ultimate purpose is to glorify Jesus, His ultimate goal is to make Jesus known to you and to me, and His priority is to guide us into all truth as He transforms us into the image of Jesus. She also challenges the believer to better love, rely on and experience the filling of the Holy Spirit through moment-by-moment surrender to the moment-by-moment control of the Holy Spirit.

Loving this book!! Trying not to read it too fast because I want to internalize all it has to offer! Once again. Anne Graham Lotz has lead me into a deeper understanding of our precious Lord and richly explaining the entirety of the Holy Spirit. As always she uses examples from her own life that we can relate to as well. She’s “real people.” I’ve loved her since experiencing her “Just Give Me Jesus!” Whether this is the first book you’ve read of Anne’s or one of many you will not be disappointed in all it has to offer you. You will be filled to overflowing with the Holy Spirit!! Praise Jesus!!!!

Anne covers the Holy Spirit in all imaginable ways in an easy to read style. The book is written as if you were sitting down listening to her share stories from her life. She writes from her huge reservoir of knowledge on the Holy Spirit and asks questions that lead you to know the Holy Spirit more intimately as well as gain a deeper awareness of yourself and what you believe.
The book is very personal and real. Anne Graham Lotz has applied the truths in this book to her own life when faced with grief, tragedy and pressure. She has found God to be faithful. The Holy Spirit has been her Comforter, Strengthener, Advocate, Counselor, Intercessor, and Helper. She writes to remind you that the Holy Spirit is “your constant companion”.

This is an easy to read book in Anne’s usual relatable style. Anne has faced a number of big life challenges in recent years with the death of both her husband and father together with her own cancer diagnosis. Throughout these challenging periods in her life she was aware of the comforting presence of the Holy Spirit. In this book she shows us how we are a dwelling place for the Holy Spirit. She teaches us the different ways the Holy Sprit works in our lives and how He is an ever present vital third person of the Trinity. There are helpful exercises at the end of each chapter for us to work through if we wish. I received a free copy of this book, a favourable review was not required and all opinions expressed here are my own.

I love this book. Anne Graham Lotz does a good job explaining what was going on with her and how the Lord helped her overcome her obstacles. It is very encouraging to those who need the Lords help in their troubles just to have faith. I give it 5 stars everyone should read this.

I own and have read several of Anne Graham Lotz's books. This book is the very best one I have ever read about the Holy Spirit. It was an emotional, personal and very eye opening book for me. This covers what I was never taught growing up in church but should be taught in every church. This book covers so much wonderful details that I will be rereading it again! I love that she wrote this book using her own life experiences. This took me on a very emotional journey about my own life experiences as well and I believe it will for everyone who reads it. I would recommend Jesus in Me to everyone.

Living your life with the Holy Spirit as your constant companion is every Christian’s goal. This book is a intimate look inside Ann’s life and walk with her. It’s like sitting down at the kitchen table and having coffee with her and spending the morning sharing with each other. The Holy Spirit is not a magic genie, a flame of fire, or a vague feeling. He is a person who prays for us, guides us in our relationships and decisions, comforts us in pain, and stays by our side at all times. This book explores seven key aspects of the Holy Spirit.

The Holy Spirit kinda gets overlooked and underappreciated. We need to listen or feel His presence. Thank you, Anne Graham Lotz for the reminder, education and facts.

I love a good Christian book that helps me to learn and grow so I was excited to read this book. Each chapter, I kept waiting for the book to truly begin and felt like it was more of a story about the author and her experiences than about me (the reader) discovering the holy spirit. I knew some of the book would be about her own personal experience but I didn't realize that would be the main focus, so I was disappointed in this book to use for spiritual growth.

This book is a testimony of the power of the Holy Spirit in the life of the believer. Anne Graham Lotz uses her personal testimony about the loss of her father and her husband as well as her own struggle with a cancer diagnosis to be a powerful witness to the Holy Spirit’s presence in the lives on the believers. Told with honesty and empathy, Ms. Lotz makes the reader a part of the experience that she had. At the end of each chapter, she invites the reader to share in her experience with the Holy Spirit and to invite Him into our lives. As a believer for over four decades, I did not think that there was much that I had not heard about the Trinity and specifically the Holy Spirit. But Ms. Lotz surprised me with her insight and wisdom into this very important topic. Jesus did not leave us alone when He ascended into Heaven and the author makes it very clear through her own personal testimony that we are not alone but that the Comforter and the Counselor is with us daily. I really loved the vivid word pictures that Ms. Lotz painted that stretched and strengthened my faith. Readers of books about faith and God’s love will thoroughly enjoy this book and be amazed at God’s provisions for His beloved children.—us!

A delightful, heart breaking, and rich read. Anne Graham Lotz is no stranger to tragedy and suffering. She walks the reader through unimaginable experiences; not the least of which is burying her husband of almost 50years. In recounting how God (Father, Son, and Spirit) renewed her strength and was with her through it all, the reader is encouraged and assured that God is also and will also be with them as we “walk through the valley”
