I love Victoria Alexander. She is totally a queen of historical romance and in this book gosh you can see her fun nature and how much she loves these characters. This is an estranged romance/historical that starts 6 years before and continues 6 years later.

It stars James who ends up kissing Violet when she is 18 in a joke and they end up married. She thinks he loves her but he doesnt so she tells him she never wants to see him again. Six years later she is called to town for the reading of the will for James uncle. There she discovers James and her must reconcile/live together for three years with a bunch of widows helping them along the way.

I LOVED Violet so much. She gives James trouble long the way and I was totally cheering for her. James has grown up in the last six years and he realises he lost something precious 6 years before.

This book does feature a cheating hero though some might not call it cheating as Violet knows he is cheating and they are separated at the time and have not seen or talked to the other in six years. And I loved that Violet does not sit on the wall and wait around for James she is out having a grand old time as she travels the world.
