I couldn't get invested in any of the characters because even though we were given a backstory I didn't really see any development. This book was repetitive and monotonous. The same things were started about the characters over and over again. The story didn't flow smoothly either, it jumped from one character to another. I wasn't invested in the romance or the story at all.

I'm a big fan of Diana Palmers, but have been a little disappointed in some of her books of late, however this is one of the better stories by in a while.

Diana Palmer never disappoints. She knows exactly how to pull my heartstrings and this title was no exception. I love the Long Tall Texans are continuing and look forward to more installments. There is always something thrilling about the chase and seeing the emotions behind both Clancy and Colter make the "catching" all the more worth it.

Another great romance from Diana Palmer! I always know what to expect from her and I'm never disappointed. Great story and chemistry between Clancey and Colter. Recommended!

This book was more a republican rant about guns and climate change and sex before marriage and Church than a romance. I think I will never read again a book written by Diana Palmer.

THANKS NETGALLEY FOR THE PREVIEW!

I cannot believe this is number 55 in the Long, Tall Texans series by Diana Palmer. She has been unbelievably prolific. I have been reading these stories since, well, let's just say for a long time. Some believe that there are many recurring themes in Ms. Palmer's works but I think that makes them all the better. It's like putting on a pair of flannel pajamas on a cold winter night. Comforting. Like rereading a treasured novel. that always puts a smile on our faces. Well, this is another good story. The heroine is fiercely independent after a difficult childhood. The hero, afraid to love but wanting to reach out. This is another book to add to your TBR pile. Enjoy.

I received an electronic ARC from Harlequin through NetGalley.
Palmer has a distinct formula for her romances and this one follows the same plot. Young innocent woman in a difficult situation and an older man who is hardened by life. Though somewhat formulaic, I enjoy her work and appreciate the details she works in effortlessly.
It's always fun to revisit her Texans series as she makes a point of weaving her characters together in each book. Readers get glimpses of old favorites and hints of books to come. Her connections to her Wyoming series add another depth level with additional characters.
Palmer writes sweet light romances that a readers will enjoy.

Working in the cold case unit eith Colter Banks, Clancy us the sole caretaker of her young brother Tad after the deaths of her parents. When the past comes back for revenge will she be able to live free once again or always live in fear? I love Diana Palmer's books and she has never disappointed me. The following is scheduled to appear on my book review blog on May 3, 2019:

I was probably a little too young when I first read a Diana Plamer book. I had to have been about 13 or 14 when I fished Magnolia out of a bag of books my grandmother had given to my mom. At that point, I had just started to write and I loved romances. I would just get lost in them and Palmer's Magnolia did not disappoint. I fell in love with her writing and the steamy romances she whipped up with brooding, handsome men and the strong women they all always seemed to fall in love with. I went on to read all of her mercenary books and dove right into her Long, Tall Texan series of which, Unleashed is number 47 in the series.

Palmer does not disappoint us with her reserved, brooding and strong characters that she is known for. We meet Colter, a man that has been spending his time with women that he knows will never be much of anything. No woman really encapsulates him until he notices his assistant, Clancy who is battling a dark past of her own. Her brother is in jail for having hurt her in his attack on their younger brother. She is terrified that he will be released. She is also pretty smitten with Colter even though he's not completely into her yet, as he has lingering feelings for his best friend's former fiancee.

However, the chemistry and drama begin to burn between Colter and Clancy in a way that only Diana Palmer can deliver. The loves scenes are steamy and built with a sensuality that is exclusive to Diana Palmer novels wherein Colter is the older, experienced man while Clancy is blossoming into her own. Paralleled with the few violent scenes that are also present in the novel, Unleashed delivers to its readers a sultry read filled with drama and violence that leave you rooting for Colter and Clancy as the novel works towards its fitting end.

Unleashed (Long, Tall Texans Book 47) by Diana Palmer will be available for purchase on June 25, 2019, with ISBN 9781335659989 from Harlequin. This review corresponds to an advanced electronic galley that was provided by the publisher in exchange for this review.

Unleashed by Diana Palmer is a very good book . Her use of previous characters is great. She brings them when needed and uses them in a way to tie into what ever story she is writing.

This is the story of Clancy and Colter.Clancy is a victim or her step brother who is in jail. He tried to hurt her baby brother and ended up injuring her in baldy. Now he is in jailfor the attack but he is up for parole and Clancy is very fearful of her life as he threatened revenge.

Meanwhile she currently works for PI Colter ashis assitant and is very atrracted to him but he doesn't see her. In fact he is in love with his now deceased best friends former fiancee. When he starts having feelings for Clancy well things get very complicated.

I mostly enjoyed the story except I kinda hate love triangles. I like the hero only having feelings for the heroine and no one else so I hated that part of the story. That said the triangle never really gets more complicated than old feelings even if he goes on dates with the other woman.

The step brother is a nasty piece of work and I loved how it ended but it does have some violent scenes.

Diana Palmer wrote another great story with Unleashed. I love the characters, Clancy has a sharp wit and the chemistry between her and Colter made this book hard to put down.

I think I have just about every book that Diana Palmer has written. This book was so sugary and full of corn-really disliked it. The heroine was such a doormat and the hero was totally unlikeable.
