I received an arc from NetGalley and this is my honest opinion. Deception is a must read for 2019. This book will keep you guessing until the end. Lots of romance and suspense as well.

Kate's 18 year old sister has been murdered and identifying the body at the morgue is the most horrific thing to ever happen to Kate. Because her sister was a drug addict and prostitute, the police don't seem too interested in making the case of finding her killer a priority. So Kate hires PI and bounty hunter, Jase, from a highly recommended firm, to help her. Attracted to each other since their first meeting, she and Jase try to keep it all business, at least until after the killer is found, but their chemistry is too strong. Together they discover that the murder was just the tip of the iceberg when they are targeted by men who don't want their lucrative human trafficking discovered. Lots of suspense, action and romance!

After an awful day Kate decides to try to forget what she's seen and the hot cowboy at the bar might just be what she needs.

While waiting for an informant Jase sees a hot blond dancing over and over and is caught in just watching her. When they decide to dance together neither knows what they're getting into but it will be the ride of theirs lives.... At least so far.

Loved this thriller! Great storyline, character depiction and the writing just flows. Kudos to the author who truly managed to bring the story to life. I enjoyed the book very much and will definitely make sure to read more by this talented writer.

Another great read by Kat Martin. I do like the attitude of the characters and the mystery in this book. This is an author that I can always recommend to my customers and know that will will enjoy the book

An action packed romance! They get in more trouble than they maybe should, but I loved the attitudes of the characters and their personalities just kind of shine through making them easy to relate to and connect with.

Kat Martin will never disappoint. A good plot, well developed characters and the pitfalls of life baldly displayed. Kate has a great career, but family is another story entirely. Jason has the type of family background that is hard for most to imagine. However, they have drive and determination to protect the innocent and avenge the harmed. A gripping story about the sex trade we like to pretend does not exist.
