Right from the start, this book drew be in, it was an absolute pleasure to read.

The characters are so well drawn and real. Jo is a lovely character, she’s been hurt before and she’s understandably cautious now about relationships. There’s an undeniable spark between herself and Corrado though. I do have to admit that my favourite character is probably Daisy the labrador though! She really has the lab personality.

The setting is, of course, magnificent. I’ve been to Rome once before, and it was as if I was transported back there by the author’s wonderful descriptions of the city. Through Corrado’s conversations, we also get quite a few fascinating snippets of Rome’s history too. I really enjoyed these, and it added real depth to the book.

This book has so much to offer the reader, humour, joy, wonderful setting and characters. It’s the first I’ve read by this author, but I’ll certainly be buying his other books, such a pleasure to read. A must-read to bring a little sunshine into your life.

I am just loving this series of books by T.A. Williams. It's like traveling to Italy, plus reading a great romance. Jo is visiting her sister in Rome, when she meets her sister's future brother-in-law. They share an interest in the environment, and at first, Jo doesn't think he's interested in her romantically. He claims that there is no such thing as love. The novel progresses through the ups and downs of their relationship. It's very realistic, and I really enjoyed reading it! Great characters, great setting, and great story!

Oh how I remember Rome in July/August - hotter than you can imagine - not the place to be - hotter than this novel implies too.
This novel was in many ways predictable - pleasantly so - with many nice diversions. I liked the sailing around the islands and their descriptions; the butterflies; and the science about the environment (such as there was) a very current and important theme.
I also thought that the story was a good length - often romance novels are too short, barely more than a novella - always ending with the ‘and Jack was free’ like TV crime stories - with none of the real explanation.
For me, this would be a good holiday read and with some envy thrown in if you are in Cornwall and it is raining!

This is a great lighthearted easy romantic read. For me, it is great as a beach read, something that doesn't require too much concentration from me. But it didn't push the boundaries or offer me anything new. I didn't hate it, I just didn't LOVE it.

I received an ARC of this book from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. My opinions in this review are my own and are in no way influenced.

5☆ A Light hearted and Enchanting Romance!

Once again T.A. Williams swept me off to a place I long to visit, this time round it's Rome.

I am a big fan of Williams books so as soon as i see a new book, I just know I'm in for an adventure filled with romance, an Adorable Lab (Daisy) and a stunning setting.

Jo is visiting Rome as her sister is getting married. She meets the very charming and handsome Corrado who is soon to be her Sisters Brother-in-law.
There is an instant attraction, but Jo is sworn herself off men as she nurses her broken heart, especially ones as handsome as Corrado.

Jo returns home but still dreaming of Rome and the brief time she spent with Corrado.
But things are starting to look up for her, when her boss has a nasty fall and sends Jo back to Rome to take part in an Important meeting, on his behalf.
Jo jumps at the chance and she secretly hopes to see Corrado again.
She doesn't have to wait too long when he meets her at the airport.

Can Rome and Corrado restore Jo's Faith in Men and Love? Or
Is she destined to be alone?

I can't not write this review without mentioning Daisy the adorable and very loveable Labrador fur Baby. Now any one who reads Trevor's books, will know there is always a cheeky and loveable Labrador and Daisy was one of my favourite pups.

Jo's passion is conservation and butterflies, which was so refreshing. It made a nice change to read about current environmental issues especially as plastic is killing our environment. I adore butterflies too so learning a bit more about them was an added bonus.

Dreaming of Rome is an Enchanting story of Second Chances, Romance, Family, Friendship and a sprinkle of drama.
Which as the title suggests... left me Dreaming of Rome!

Once again Williams has written a Gem of a book, steeped in history, delicious food, and a stunning location I didn't want to leave!
The Characters are intelligent, strong and as always are perfectly written, likeable and very relatable.

So if you are looking for a Light Hearted, Warm and Cosy, Women's Fiction that has a sprinkle of Romance, an important environmental message, a stunning location and an Adorable fur Baby then you will absolutely love Dreaming of Rome!
The perfect holiday and beach read!

Thank you to Canelo for this copy which I reviewed honestly and voluntarily.

Books written by T A Williams are an absolute pleasure to read. You know when you open and start reading you are going to be transported to a warm sunny location, where you will be sat observing the characters, smell and taste the food and thoroughly enjoy the time you spend reading. He has a way of writing, with such descriptions, that truly brings the book alive.

Dreaming of Rome is simply delightful and it's really hard not to like Jo, the main character. Jo has gone through a difficult break up and swears she is over men. She is planning to visit her sister Angie and her brother in law to be in Rome. His brother, Corrado, collects her from the airport. He is intelligent and good looking. It's not long before Jo finds herself attractive to him. But is he the one for her? No spoilers as always but this book, brings romance in true TA Williams style.

Jonah's a passion for butterflies and every time they feature in the story you can easily visualise them. Again the descriptions are vivid and quite unique to this book.

The story includes a topical environmental issue, which was refreshing to read. Researching alternatives to plastic. I found reading about this interesting and it added to the romance.

Thank you to Ellie, Canelo and TA Williams for transporting us to Rome and for our advanced copy.

Cannot afford to go to Italy this summer? Then do not worry because T.A. Williams’ uproarious, uplifting and irresistible new novel, Dreaming of Rome is the next best thing to a holiday to the Italian capital!

Jo is sick and tired of romance. Falling in love and being swept away by a handsome man for a lifetime of marital bliss is clearly not meant to happen for her. She has had enough of men and she has struck romance off the agenda once and for all, hardened her heart and erected an impenetrable wall around her heart. After a horrible break-up which left her reeling, Jo is going to focus solely on herself and is not going to let feelings and emotions complicate matters for her. However, a business trip to Rome might just end up weakening her resolve to stay stubbornly single…

When she meets her prospective brother in law to be Corrado, Jo seems to have met a fellow kindred spirit who does not believe in love and romance. To the attractive scientist, romance is a mere biochemical reaction and is certainly not something which he has much time for. However, all his scientific theories fly out of the window when he claps eyes on Jo! As sparks begin to fly between the two of them, could Cupid’s Arrow end up striking them under the sizzling Italian skies? Or will their attraction to one another fizzle out like a failed experiment?

The more she tries to resist Corrado, the more she ends up falling for him. Good-looking, intelligent, charming and successful, Corrado is every woman’s idea of the perfect man. But will love conquer all in Rome? Or is their relationship doomed before it has even got off the ground?

A fabulous treat for romantics everywhere which will go down a treat with fans of Holly Martin and Zara Stoneley, Dreaming of Rome is a fabulous tale of second chances, new beginnings and never giving up on love that touches the heart, brings a tear to the eye and will make readers laugh out loud. Touching, tender, hilarious and an absolute joy to read, Dreaming of Rome is as uplifting as a glass of Limoncello and as delicious as an ice cream on a hot summer’s day.

With brilliant characters, a beautifully described setting, laughs, drama, tears and humour aplenty, Dreaming of Rome is a perfect summer treat readers are going to love!

Like all T.A. Williams books, this story is atmospheric, authentic and absorbing. You quickly become immersed in the sights and sounds of Rome, the excitement of new possibilities and romance and the chance to escape for a little while.

The theme of this story is contemporary, climate change and both the main protagonists are scientists. both attribute their undeniable attraction to hormones and neural impulses, Jo, because she has been damaged by a previous relationship, ending badly and Corrado because he believes love is merely an illusion.

The reader experiences Rome with the protagonist and that alone makes it a wonderful read, but add in complex characters, a lovely balance of heartbreak and humour and it is the perfect beach read.

I’ve read lots or romantic comedy, many are set in far-flung places, but this series stands out and is always a pleasure to read. If you’re looking for a romantic, escapist read, this series is for you.

I received a copy of this book from Canelo via NetGalley in return for an honest review.

T A Williams has that knack that all good authors do; the ability to transport the reader, placing them at the heart of the setting of the novel, to evoke an acute empathy with the characters and to keep you gripped until the end. 'Dreaming of Rome' is no exception.

Who could fail to be captivated by the romance of Rome? The food, the scenery, the irresistibly attractive Corrado...the scene is perfectly set for a scintillating summer romance.

But, the course of true love never runs smooth and Jo is determined not to fall for her soon-to-be brother-in-law, who himself has declared he doesn't believe in the science of love.

His adorable Labrador Daisy, however, has other ideas and she inadvertently becomes the catalyst for the story that unfolds.

It is always a pleasure to pick up the latest offerings from this author and this is another great read! If you are looking for a feel-good summer novel and want to transport yourself to the Eternal City for a little romance, you need look no further!

With thanks to the author and Canelo publishing for the ARC

The beautiful city of Rome takes centre stage in this latest TA Williams romance and there are some lovely descriptions of the buildings there. Set against all this antiquity, there are some up to the minute themes around conservation and the environment. In Jo and Corrado, you have two switched on central characters, who are intelligent and interested in the world around them. I love Jo's passion for butterflies which fits with her other interests.

No TA Willams' book is complete without a black labrador and I do think that Daisy manages to steal most scenes she is in. With her love of water, food and sleeping, she seems spot on, a true labrador. This is a lovely warm book which I was loathe to put down. It is great read for the Summer and a real escape to a wonderful location.

In short: Can romance flourish with this scientific pair?
Thanks to the author for a copy of the book

It took me a while to get into this book but once I did I was enthralled by it.
This book can be a bit cheesy at times but we all love a bit of romance in our lives
A good book

Every book by this author is a dream to read. The easy-going style immediately transports the reader to another world with lavish descriptions of the local food and scenery. Although romance is at the heart of each book, there is also the romance of the country, the language and the different culture. With both our heroine and hero having sworn off love, the reader can see that they are instantly drawn to each other even if they are both in denial. With their careers taking them in different directions and the potential problems of being in-laws should it all go wrong, it's hard to see how these two can find true love. Just when things get a little intense, there is a jolt of humour to lift the mood. Will Rome be the home of love for these two? You'll have to read it to find out.

On the whole, I really enjoyed this book. The characters were authentic, funny, and likeable. The storyline was romantic, engaging, lively and humorous. It is a perfect chick-lit summer read and definitely makes me want to hop on a plane to Rome as the descriptions are so vivid and enticing.
For me, the only thing that let it down (otherwise it would have been a 5* review) was the ending as I felt it set feminism back about 50 years (I won't expand anymore because I don't want to spoil anything).

Once again author T.A. Williams whisks you away to a beautiful location describing the sights, sounds and culture with ease giving you an insight to idyllic areas leaving you with a thirst to visit. Dreaming of Rome takes you to the historical city of Rome that is steeped with history and full of monumental structures of importance.
Dreaming of Rome is a story of two highly intelligent beautiful people brought together by the link of their siblings who are soon due to be wed.
Jo has recently suffered with matters of the heart and as she's approaching her 30's Jo feels like the time is right to settle down but can she trust her heart with another?
Corrado is a handsome geek with Roman god-like looks with a view on love that is so scientific you can't help feel that his views are a little regimental and he is missing out on a little magic. He is highly successful in his field but his unusual way at looking at love thinking logically with his Scientist hat on and analysing all the chemical reactions in the mind and body coming to the conclusion that love doesn't come into the equation. However, when Corrado meets his future sister-in-law Jo he's dazzled by her beauty, her zest for her beliefs and ideas and is charmed by her interest in lepidopterology. But when Corrado starts to experience new emotions around Jo he becomes very confused and is almost shocked at this new change of reaction.
There's a moment in the story when life becomes a little clearer for our leading lady and gent, as if they've been looking at the world through misty glasses and now the view is crystal clear, it is quite a beautiful, tender moment that I felt as equally emotional as the characters.
I really enjoyed this story with a very current topic on conservation that I found very interesting and I also loved Jo's love of butterflies, these two areas in the storyline felt like an added bonus in the whole reading experience. It was such a gorgeous romance that I was sad for the story to come to an end.

I absolutely love the way T.A.Williams writes. When you have one of his books you are guaranteed sun, amazing locations and total immersion in a different culture, language and customs.

Dreaming of Rome takes us to Rome and the surrounding areas via the adventures of Jo who is invited to her sister's wedding and also to her gorgeous house.

Jo swears she's over men after a disasterous breakup and another disasterous date during which I was cheering her on and hoping for the best that she found someone really worthy of her love. So, leaving London for Italy is pretty easy for her. Jo has a passion for butterflies and the butterflies were made so visual in the book, a unique characteristic.

Regarding love: Is Corrado the one for her? Or someone totally different? In true T.A. Williams style, of course there's romance, lounging by the pool and mouthwaterring food as well as great company as well as not so great company. And there has to be a dog. Daisy was a real character and she stole the show on more than one occasion.

The premise is pretty simple, but T.A. Williams pulls the plot off with ease and takes the reader along to Italy (I could almost literally taste the ice creams and other food!) Food, romance, sun and fun, Dreaming of Rome is a laid-back book that really keeps the reader hooked.

A great addition to the Dreaming of......series which has already taken me to many locations.

It really helps that the author lived in various couuntries and has such a love of languages and culture because I always feel I learn some new vocabulary through the easy way the foreign language is woven into the text. This makes the books more enjoyable for me. I learnt some Italian for a year is but still learnt something new through this novel.

A perfect summer/ beach novel- or one for any time of year. Feelgood, and a wonderful pace.

Thanks to T.A. Williams for my ARC in exchange for an honest and voluntary review plus a space on the blog tour fot this title.

I fell head over heels for this wonderful story.

Jo and Corrado meet when she's over on her dad's behalf to help with preparations for her sister's marriage to Corrado's brother. It's just her luck her soon to be brother-in-law is drop dead gorgeous. Though she's sworn herself off men due to a painful breakup with an equally gorgeous man.

The hit it off and become friends although Jo does have romantic thoughts about him. Scientist Corrado doesn't believe in love and is a bit of a womaniser whereas Environmentalist Jo does and wants to meet her soulmate and settle down.

He's got a totally loveable lab called Daisy who seems to have fallen head over heels for Jo and makes a total fuss over her.

Unexpectedly, she returns to Rome to give a lecture on environmental issues (her boss had an accident) and she was the star turn also appearing on the TV. She meets up with Corrado and Daisy again and she realises she has strong feelings for this man which aren't going to go away.

He invites her back for a holiday on his yacht just as friends and what follows is a gorgeous relaxing break. You think things are all going to work out when Corrado breaks her heart..

Picking herself up she takes the amazing new job in New York she was offered by a Professor she met at the Conference and tries to forget Corrado. Things happen at Christmas and you realise there could be a very happy ending for Jo. A gorgeous feel good romance which I adored. Would highly recommend.

I always love T A Williams books because they transport you easily into beautifully described settings that make me want to add so many new places to my bucket list. Rome is already high on my list- but now I really want to visit soon. I enjoy getting to know the new canine characters in every book- getting to know Daisy was bittersweet because I lost my darling dog this week.
Jo and Corrado meet when a family wedding is being organised. Corrado seems to be the perfect eligible bachelor. He’s handsome, charming and very rich and he has the most adorable dog called Daisy. He doesn’t believe in love though.
I loved the romance throughout, totally losing myself in the magic. I was so sad to leave them behind.
I can’t wait to read his next book.

Pure escapism. Lovely setting, lovely characters, funny, sad, sweet and enjoyable. Felt like I was there on every page filled with sunshine.

This may be a little cheesy and cliche at times but it was so thoroughly enjoyable that I didn't mind at all. Daisy the dog is the total star of the show and I loved her. The Rome setting was perfect and I felt like I was there. Overall this was a beautiful story, it's very easy to get lost in the writing.

This book made me so happy. Sometimes you just need a good cheesy romance. From the love story to the romantic backdrop of Rome, this hit all the marks. Definitely would recommend.
