Geared towards teens, this book tackles some difficult subjects and legitimate struggles for people in these uncertain times. Some of the subjects covered are anxiety, depression, psychosis, overall emotional health, sexual issues, self confidence, self harm, suicide, and more. The format is reader friendly and the illustrations included are humorous and helpful. Though the subjects covered are quite serious, there was plenty of humor placed throughout, as well as personal anecdotes and quotes from a doctor who has helped the author. There are some great resources in the back that list helpful numbers, websites, and information for anyone who wants to learn more or who needs help with one of the subjects mentioned.
I believe this is a great resource for teens who are struggling with some very legitimate issues and physical conditions. Though I didn't care for the profanity and didn't personally agree with some of the views and subjects presented, I do believe this is a valuable resource for teens and young adults. There were many quotes and pieces of advice that were helpful for me, as someone who has one of the mental struggles covered. I also liked the fact that the author included some advice for those who are close to someone dealing with an issue. I recommend this book with some reservations to those who want to learn more about these issues, want to help someone who has one of these struggles, and to those who actually have to deal with these things on an everyday basis.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher through NetGalley. A positive review was not required, and all opinions expressed are entirely my own.

I liked this book and how the author relates to her own experiences. It shows teens that they are not alone in having issues of their own. I myself have mental health issues and it is always nice to relate to someone else and see through their eyes.
This book was a little intense at times and she had a lot of issues to work through. But what she is trying to say is that no matter what issues you have their are people who want to help you and life can be okay.
