This is my first David Slaton book, and it was an entertaining if complicated read. Ward Larsen weaves a good story. I think I was a little lost at first because I had no backstory on the character, but once I settled in, I realized that his layered character profile is important to interpreting his actions and reactions. The story itself moves quickly, both in location and action. There's a lot to unravel about the secondary characters as well. If you like complexity of characters and story, can suspend belief at times, and enjoy a good old fashioned action thriller, I'd recommend Assassin's Revenge.
I received my copy through NetGalley under no obligation.

In this 5th in the series, David's wife and son suddenly disappear - his search for them takes him to Vienna ... and North Korea..

As expected from a Larsen thriller, there's plenty of action all over the globe before Slaton, helped as before by the CIA's Anna Sorenson, prevents a nuclear threat against a US territory and reunites with his family. An adrenaline rush and an exciting read!

I love this series and this latest addition is one of the best I have read.

David Slaton, the Mossad trained assassin just wants a normal life with his wife and son, even though they stay on the run from his former life. In this episode someone kidnaps his family and getting them back unharmed is his top priority. This sets him on a collision course with a diverse groups of bad guys and one horrible outcome for the US.

Lots of action and edge of your seat thrills plus even a F-18 foray into North Korea to settle things once and for all. How is that for David's "normal life?"

This book comes out in August and I highly suggest you put it on your to read list!
