Four fun, witty, rompy, entertaining stars to Crashing the A-List!
A period of bad luck has left Clara unemployed, adrift, and worst of all- crashing on her brothers uncomfortable couch. Desperate for cash, she accepts a job offer that has her cleaning out abandoned storage units. It’s here she comes across a unit full of paperwork for a former escort service. Enclosed in the paperwork is a resume for a world famous actor. Intent on doing the right thing, Clara contacts him to return the incriminating evidence. But what she sees as an act of goodwill, he sees as a blackmail attempt. She attempts to put things right, signals keep getting crossed, and worst of all- the paparazzi has discovered her and labeled her as his new girlfriend in publications across the globe. How will Clara get out of this mess and put her life back on track?
This was such a fun, entertaining read. I went into it expecting a fun beach read (which it is) but it’s so much more than that! This is a story full of heart and is beautifully written. The witty banter and dialogue had me laughing out loud. This is a fabulous rom-com and a book to add to your summer reading lists! For me, Crashing the A-List was ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 stars. Thank you @harlequinbooks for this advance reader in exchange for my honest review. Fans of Pretty Woman, Me Before You, Runaway Bride, or How to Walk Away will love this book!

Did you once plaster your walls with the heartthrob of the month? Did you daydream about somehow getting trapped in an elevator with that sexy actor and he naturally SEES INTO YOUR BEAUTIFUL SOUL?
Just me then....
Crashing the A-List is exactly what I wanted from a humorous contemporary romance novel - it's funny, charming, and total wish-fulfillment for my sixteen-year-old self.
The hilariously named actor Caspian Tiddleswitch is so hot right now--he's got a superhero movie, a literary detective TV show, and a Shakespearean run on Broadway under his belt. He is firmly on the A list. (He's clearly modeled after Benedict Cumberbatch, with a dash of Tom Hiddleston). Clara Montgomery, on the other hand, couldn't be less in demand as an out-of-work book editor clearing out storage units to make ends meet.
The shocking contents of one of those storage units, mixed with more than a little alcohol, leads Clara into an embarrassing situation where she's accidentally blackmailed the guy she and her best friend spend their nights ogling on BBC America.
Yes, it does lead to the trope of "fake girlfriend," but it's well-done. Clara's relationship with her bestie feels real, and is the core part of her story. Caspian is better if you imagine all his lines being read by Cumberbatch.
This book is light, won't embarrass your mom, and honestly the perfect summer beach read. Adorable.

Summer Heacock’s novel, Crashing the A-List, is a what I consider to be romantic fiction. Clara is down on her luck, having lost her job and apartment due to a company acquisition. Until she finds her footing, she accepts her brother’s offer to sleep on his couch; it is either that or move home to Buffalo, NY with her tail between her legs. While pulling her life together, Clara takes a part time job cleaning out storage units and in the process, discovers an old, incriminating photo of a famous actor, Caspian Tiddleswich. With this discovery, Clara’s life starts to take highly unexpected turns with many episodes of miscommunication along the way. There are moments where the plot is predictable, yet there are also situations that were not what I anticipated, which kept the story interesting and moving. Clara and her best friend have an excellent relationship and demonstrate how to have one another’s back, especially in times of crisis. Though the book is primarily about Clara and Caspian, her side relationships are prominent and have a direct impact on the overall story. Great beach read.
I received an advance copy of the book from Net Galley and have provided an objective review.

Crashing the A-List by Summer Heacock This is the first book that I have read by this author and I did enjoy it. Thanks to the publisher and #NetGalley for letting me preview and review it. Clara Montgomery(a recently unemployed book editor) Caspian Tiddleswich ( actor/movie star..has a secret past) CiCi(Clara's best friend) I won't give away the story that is full of angst, blackmailing?, laughter, tears, more laughter and I'll admit I shed a few ugly tears and had some dislike for Cas...but this book did keep my interest and keep me reading all the way to a HEA.
Reasons I enjoyed this book:
Entertaining Unpredictable Wonderful characters Easy-to-read Great world building Happily Ever After Page-turner Witty Realistic Tear-jerker

I read the synopsis for Crashing the A-List by Summer Heacock and thought the unique arrangement trope sounded like a fun summer romance. A sharp, witty, snappy and heartfelt romance that will leave you grinning.
I ended my dates with Crashing the A-List grinning like a fool. While this works as a standalone romance, I wouldn't mind getting stories for secondary characters. On, a final note.... the David Tennant mention still has me smiling! 😍
You can check out my coffee dates with Crashing the A-List on July 9th at Caffeinated Reviewer. I will share the review link on all social media. A review will also post to Amazon and Goodreads. Link below.

Absolutely loved this novel! Excellent character development, the storyline was fluid and kept me in suspense and wanting to learn more about the characters.

This is the perfect summer read if you want a hilarious and wildly entertaining book.
I laughed out loud more than once and I loved the well written cast of characters and the plot.
I look forward to reading other books by this author.
Highly recommended!
Many thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for this ARC, all opinions are mine.

Sadly, this is a DNF for me. I rarely do that so I hope no one is offended. Clearly, if you read the other reviews on NG, I'm the outlier here. I tired of the cute inner dialogues of the main character and started to not care about her troubles. I need to care about the main character in a book like this so that's why I called it quits. Sorry.

This was a pleasant surprise! I'm not sure what I was expecting, but this definitely exceeded everything I was expecting. It honestly could've gone on for 300 more pages and I would've devoured it just as quickly. I can't wait until its out so I can buy a copy and put it on my shelf!

This book was way more than I bargained for! The description of a girl down on her luck getting together with a famous actor and experiencing life from
His vantage seemed like a great light read for a brainless rainy Saturday. This book was so much more.. Clara has recently lost her job through no fault of her own. She finds herself living on her brothers couch temporarily while she figures out Plan B. The descriptive narrative is truly laugh out loud hilarious. The reader assumes that her solution will be to find a rich famous person to swoop in and save her Cinderella ish. This girl has grit, determination and is willing to take a horrible job while she looks for employment. It’s usually hard to identify and actually like the pretty, vapid, girl who either plots to live in someone else’s glory ( money) or is expected to be the arm candy. These are characters that I wish I could meet... great friends, loving siblings, and overall people you can count on in your life. I want to hang with the author because her viewpoint is to deal with what life throws you with an incredible sense of humor. It’s a delightful book that is unexpected and a real treat. I highly recommend this! #netgalley #summerheacock #mirabooks

This is the perfect book to add to your summer reading list!
Are you into fake-dating? This book is for you, this was a great rom-com with a bunch of fun and quirky characters.
The dialogue was fast and the problems that arise in the book aren't too heavy. I promise you'll be smiling at the end of this book.
Thanks to NetGalley for an arc in exchange for an honest review.

Hilarious! The perfect rom-com for your summer reading list. The dialog, the premise, the enemies-to-something more trope ... I thoroughly enjoyed this book.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for a complimentary ARC. All opinions stated here are my own.

Down and out, Clara Montgomery is an unemployed book editor, sleeping on her brother’s couch. With no bites from the dozens of resumes she’s sent out, she takes a temp job clearing out storage units. Dead rodents, dusty and maybe toxic garbage, along with horrible smells (is that beets?), fill her days as she loads up garbage and drives it to the dump. She happens upon some incriminating evidence from a now defunct escort service, of a very young Caspian Tiddleswich, a now famous British actor. After leaving him a drunken message not to worry, she won’t tell his secret, he assumes she’s going to blackmail him. The story just escalates from funny to funnier as these two interact.
This is a very entertaining, light and fun read, full of good laughs, all wrapped up with a teary and endearing ending. I really enjoyed it and a highly recommend this book

I thoroughly enjoyed Clara Montgomery and her witty personality. She was a refreshing main character, as a strong female who had opinions of her own. I greatly appreciated that despite the situation she found herself in, she didn’t change her character, beliefs, or actions over a man, even one as famous as Mr. Tiddles.
Overall, I really enjoyed the story, the narrative, and the characters. Fun summer read that would also be fun for book clubs

Crashing the A-List by Summer Heacock: A Rom-Com with a great storyline. Don’t have a drink there if you don’t want to do a spit take! This is a book you do not want to miss. #NetGalley Highly recommendable.

Crashing the A-List is an amusing, quirky read, Clara is down on her luck, having lost her job and apartment. She is sleeping on her brother's couch and cleaning out storage units while desperately trying to find another editing position. She stumbles across sensitive information about a famous actor that leads to both hilarious and cringe worthy situations. The ending was satisfactory. My two favorite characters were CiCi and Charlie. I didn't care for the main antagonist, Caspian, even after he atoned for his behavior. The author had a tendancy to have Clara use British euphemisms that no American would probably utter.

Thank you Netgalley and Mira Books for an ARC copy of Crashing the A-List for a review. I needed something light to read and this did the job. Clara lost her job as book editor and is forced to sleep on her brother’s ugly couch (as we are told over and over) – she gets a job clearing out repossessed storage lockers (most are gross) but stumbles on one that used to belong to a escort service with one escort who is a now famous actor. After leaving a drunken message on his phone Caspian thinks Clara is trying to blackmail him – he turns ups and they end up playing into a fake romance.
Not a bad read. Perfect for the beach or cottage.

10 +++ stars.. OMG I loved this book so very much. The chemistry between Cas and Clara was so hot and the way that they met was so darn funny. I loved the CiCi she was so dang hilarious and an amazing bff. I thought the connection between the main characters was so intense and made me need to finish this is one night. Thank you NetGalley ,Summer -Heacock, and the publishing house for allowing me the chance to read this amazing book. I am about to read it again.

One of my most favorite things to do is to get completely lost in fabulous Hallmark movies and Bravo or E!reality TV. Crashing the A-List was like all of those rolled into one.
The dialogue with sharp and witty. The characters were engaging and deliciously over-the-top.
I’m usually bored by when I read standard romance or rom-com, but this book hooked me from page one. I couldn’t stop turning the pages. The story was just that fun.

Bonus Points: The book already won me over, but then it included an entire paragraph on the truth that Chris Evans is the superior Chris and I was sold.

After Clara is laid off from her publishing job she takes a temporary job cleaning out rental storage units and accidentally finds documents linking an A-list movie star to an escort service in his younger days. Even though she decides not to do anything shady with the info, when Caspian Tiddleswitch (omg that name!) finds out she has it, he wreaks havoc on her life and career prospects. I absolutely adored the friendship between Clara and her bestie, CiCi! I also liked that the author was careful not to perpetuate stigma against sex workers. Such a fun read!!!
