Cold River Ranch number two tale brings Ty and Hannah back to confront their common past and secrets to be explained. This author spins a tale to warm that cold heart.
Ebook from netgalley and publishers with thank. Opinions are entirely my own.

Ty heads home from the rodeo after his last fall caused partial amnesia. When Hannah shows up the ranch, she wants a divorce. Ty doesn’t even remember getting married and now he learns he has a son. Will Hannah give him another chance? Entertaining read with plenty of drama, the chemistry is steamy. I liked it.

I really enjoyed this story even though it was hard to get into at first. It is an interesting idea, to get a concussion and then can't remember the past few years. Great story.

I'm a little torn on this one. There was a lot of appeal in the idea of this book: a hero with amnesia that can't remember the heroine and they have to work towards rebuilding their relationship. Sadly, the execution wasn't quite there for me. It felt stagnant at some point and rushed at the others. I had a hard time with Hannah keeping secrets to herself and I didn't quite appreciated some undertone messages around women's sexuality.
The ending, while sweet, felt rushed for me as well. More than anything, I wish there had been more development on Ty's childhood traumas and what he went through and how we can work past it. I felt I was told more than shown the story.
It's not a bad book, the author has a lovely narrative and the descriptions of Colorado were stunning, but it didn't quite work for me, although I did find Brady to be an intriguing character and I'm curious to see if he and the girl from town will get together.

Cowboy romance stories are a hard one for me to get into, it can go either way. For me this book was straight 3 stars, nothing wrong with it but the story was not as engaging as i had hoped for. I am a huge sucker for second chance romances but the female lead at times had me grating my teeth with her. The romance and reconnecting kept me engaged but overall a 3 star read. Perfect for lovers of a cowboy romance and a good writing style that flowed.

Cold Heart, Warm Cowboy by Caitlin Crews is a good story about a cowboy with amnesia and his wife he doesn't remember. The two people, Hannah and Ty, are a rodeo cowboy and Hannah, a rodeo queen. I really like reading about what it is like to be a rodeo queen. Ty has been injured by a bull he was riding and Hannah has had her reputation tarnished by her pregnancy. No one knows about Hannah and Ty's marriage, which is problem number one. Ty told Hannah to leave him, while in the hospital and now he remembers nothing about Hannah or their relationship. Hannah has found out where Ty is and that he is planning on riding the bull that injured him. Hannah goes to tell Ty about his son but realizes that it's not going to be that easy. Ty has admitted he has no memory of the previous two years and has hidden this information from everyone. After meeting with Hannah and his admission about his memory, Hannah informs him about their marriage, but not about their son. There's lots of information about rodeo, their families and their feelings. The story moves along nicely as Ty tries to remember, with Hannah's help. Of course, there's a HEA ending.

Ty is a rodeo star who lost part of his memory.
Hannah is his secret wife who shows up wanting a divorce. And she has a little secret, his child.
There is a lot going on in here...maybe a little too much going on.
What with the memory loss, secret marriage, secret child, rodeo crown and all.

Loved this feel good romance! Great book to relax with and get sucked in to the story of a Rodeo Queen and her Rodeo Cowboy. This is the second book of the Cold River Ranch series but can definitely be read as a stand alone book. The story of Hannah Monroe and Ty Everett is sweet but complicated by many things, including a case of amnesia. I enjoyed the back and forth narration of the story between Hannah and Ty. I felt like I was on the ranch experiencing the story with them. I was left wanting more and Will definitely be picking up the next book "The Last Real Cowboy" from this series when it is released.
I am grateful to NetGalley for the opportunity to read an ARC of this book in exchange for a honest review.

I have never read a book that has made such a turnaround like this book has before in my life. I am going to be completely honest with you and say that I was ready to quit this book and move on to the next one. My momma didn't raise no quitter but I was ready to defy my teachings and be done with this cowboy. This story had a great premise and it instantly made me interested. A cowboy with no memory of the last two years and falling in love all over again? Count me in and I dove head first in this story with the expectation of being entertained. Honey, was I wrong.!!!
First let me start off by telling you about this flip flop story because the blurb grabs you for sure and most importantly, there is a hot cowboy to boot. Tye is a bull rider who was in a terrible accident with a 2,000 pound bull and has lost his memory for the last two years. Imagine his surprise when a beautiful blonde comes to his family's ranch declaring that she is his wife.!!! Hannah is a former rodeo Queen with a "little" secret and she has come to get a divorce from the former bull rider. Hannah and Tye was secretly married due to Hannah being the Rodeo Queen and had to keep her reputation sparkling clean like the crown that sat on her head. After discovering that he has a wife and with no memory of their relationship, will he learn to love her again and can he convince Hannah to stay?
As I stated before, this story made a big turnaround. I say this because this story started off as a snooze fest with little to no chemistry among the characters, but that quickly changed at about 63%, which sucks by the way. I was ready to quit and give this book a 2 star rating but luckily it turned around and gave me something to look forward to. The premise of this story is what caught me because I wanted to witness the couple falling in love again. Both Hannah and Tye have a cliché character arc and near the end of the story, they learn to face their issues head on.
Both characters have parental issues and the author is going to be sure that you don't forget it. Hannah's mother runs her life and Tye's dead father runs his as well. I really did not mind Hannah's situation because I could relate to it, but Tye spent too much time on his dad. It became very repetitive and I wanted to smack him upside the head and tell him to get over it. The best scene, hands down, is when Hannah gets a backbone with her mom and I really connected with her during this scene and the intensity really jumped off the page.
I really wished that the author would have started this story off strong because it would have gotten a higher rating. I cannot in good faith give this story higher than a 3 because it took entirely too long for the story to get moving and the characters were boring at the beginning and middle. Not many people would stick around until the 63% mark to get a story and the monologue was excruciating. The story needed more dialogue and less monologue because it dragged the story to a snail's pace. The character would have at least 4 pages full of irrelevant monologue and it really irked me.
I am not sure if I would recommend this story because of the amount of time that it took for me to enjoy this book, but the premise is great. Just grab your e-reader, be brave and patient because you need these virtues to finish this book. Good Day!!

Great second chance romance.. I really enjoyed the depth of this story. The pacing was perfect. I really enjoyed this new to me author.
Thank you St Martin's Press and NetGalley for the opportunity to read this book.

This is book two in the Cold River Ranch series by Caitlin Crews and can be read as a stand-alone. I was drawn to this book by the blurb and excited Ty and Hannah’s story. Unfortunately, it was just okay for me. I think what kept me from loving it was all the internal monologues. While I love knowing what the characters are thinking and how they are feeling, when it carries on for so long it becomes more of a distraction. For example, when one character asks a question or makes a statement that the other would follow with a response, when there is five or more minutes of their internal dialogue, by the time the response comes, I had forgotten what they were commenting on. That probably kept me most from really connecting and getting completely drawn into the story.
I mostly enjoyed the last quarter or so of the book as the storyline, dialogue, movement, everything just really seemed to move and was fluent.

First I’m a fan of Caitlin Crews so yeah for getting this arc from St Martin Press and my review based solely on my option. This was a story about two people who fell in love but due to circumstances their relationship was torn apart. Ty suffered a serious fall during one of his bull riding. Hanna the rodeo Queen and him were having a secret love affair until the accident happened. He suffered partial amnesia and can’t remember their relationship. She gave up her crown and everything else for him but he claims not to remember their secret marriage. She came looking for him to sign divorce papers and his right to their son but being face to face changes things. I really enjoyed the story and hope you do to.

Don't know why but this one interested me with I think partially the amnesia I found intriguing. First time in reading this author also with giving a cowboy a ride in this one. Ty has you following him right away since he is the draw of this one. Then you have Hannah whom is a large part of this with it coming out in layers like a surprise inside. Romance brewing to the fullest in this one with the mystic to carry it taking you from start to finish.

Cold Heart, Warm Cowboy by Caitlin Crews is a down-to-earth cowboy story with some romance, but much more solving of personal problems. Ty Everett is a broken ex-bull rider with the opportunity to make it right with one more ride-one he's not letting anyone in his family know about. One day, out of nowhere a beautiful rodeo queen drives up to his house. Does he know her? He can't remember. Something else no one in his family knows about-during the last fall his memory of the previous two years went up in dust. He's managed to keep his secret but being gruff and unapproachable. Is that going to keep working?
What a fabulous book by Caitlin Crews-raw emotion from Ty and Hannah showing every bit of each vulnerability in a complicated relationship, which is complicated further by Ty's amnesia and Hannah's secret. Can you even imagine not remembering your wife, your life? Or worse, can you imagine looking into the eyes of your husband, who you love, and seeing that he has no memories of you at all. Crews had put all those emotions and more on the page in such a way that makes your soul cry for release. The pain is honest and real. Ty had a tough childhood with a horrible father. His brother Gray has mostly gotten beyond the problems his father caused for him. Can Ty do the same? Can Hannah forget her mother's advice that all men are liars and make something of her life? Every page brings tears, some of sadness, some of joy. Read it. You will love it. I highly recommend Cold
Heart, Warm Cowboy.

Ty Everett left home to pursue a career riding bulls. The last ride however landed him is the hospital in really bad shape. Not only body but he lost memory of two years which he told no one. He always fudged his way through so no one knew. His father died shortly after his accident so he returned to Cold River Ranch to heal. The three brothers promised they would stay and work the ranch for a year. Hannah Monroe was Rodeo Queen but when Ty got hurt, she walked away and of course there were a lot of rumors. No one knew that she and Ty had gotten married in vegas as she didn’t want to lose her crown. She had worked too hard for it and holding it for the second year was quite a feat. When she went to the hospital, Ty really blasted her and told her to leave and not come back. She now has come to find out if he loves her or if the marriage is truly over. When she finds out he doesn’t remember her as well as their marriage, she also realizes he doesn’t remember her telling him she was pregnant which is what they had their fight over before he was injured. This story was about trying to find themselves as well as him working through his own problems. His father was a mean and cruel man and always was worse on Ty than his two brothers. For example, for his 18th birthday, he received a black eye. Put him down all the time, really getting into his head. Could they have a second chance. I received an advanced copy from NetGalley and this is my honest review.

The good die young and eventually so do the bad. What a horrible number Amos did on the Everett brothers before he left this world. Never is it seen so clearly as in Cold Heart, Warm Cowboy by Caitlin Crews. Sharp, crisp writing makes the story of Ty remembering his past to be able to find his future, stark and heartbreaking. It is also heartwarming and sweet too as this dysfunctional family knit themselves back together with Ty and Hannah at the center.
In case you think that the Everett’s have the market on struggling with emotional turmoil, Hannah Monroe Everett has had plenty in her life to. Going along with these two as they do the impossible is a touching read. Since it is a romance the outcome was a given but seeing how it all comes about is well worth the read. I can see a younger Tim McGraw and Faith Hill in these roles.

ARC for honest review with no compensation received from NetGalley and St. Martin’s Press. 4.5 stars
Cold Heart, Warm Cowboy is book 2 in the Cold River Ranch series by Caitlyn Crews. This a new to me author but I definitely will be reading more of her books!
Ty Everett, rodeo bull rider since he turned 18 has a fall that has caused partial amnesia. He returns home to figure out what is next in his life...if only he could remember....
Hannah Everett, former rodeo queen gave up everything when she met Ty, gave her innocence to him, married him , had a child he knows nothing about... now all she wants is a divorce.
Can these to find a way to overcome all the past hurts, his amnesia and secrets to a HEA or will they just divorce and go their separate ways??

This read was filled with emotions and drama. I liked it but didn't love it. I thought the story was OK but nothing fresh. As for the characters, I liked Ty a lot but I was not a fan of Hannah's. Both these characters had emotional baggage, which is something I always enjoy in a book. I think it creates a level playing field. So for me, I'd call it a middle-of-the-road read. It's not great and it's not awful., it just is and I think it will either work for you or not.

I really enjoyed this heartwarming contemporary western romance with characters so real you feel like you know them and want them to do well and a beautifully written story that had me on an emotional roller coaster and unable to put the book down from the first word to the last. I really liked the attraction and undeniable chemistry between Ty Everett who is suffering from partial amnesia after falling from a rodeo bull and rodeo queen Hannah Monroe. This is a perfect read for anyone who enjoys realistic and emotional cowboy romances. Ms. Crews never disappoints and I look forward to book three in her Cold River Ranch series. I received an advance reader copy of "Cold Heart, Warm Cowboy" from the publisher via NetGalley and am voluntarily leaving my honest review.

This book is a second chance/amnesia trope. I really liked this book , but parts of it didn't seem to fit well with the image of the main character. She seemed to at least try to live by the rules of the Rodeo Queen. However, her actions didn't always follow suite in real life. I don't know any mother who would willingly walk away from her baby for that length of time (although the separation did start out as a way to protect him). It was inconceivable to me.
Ty was so worried about turning out like his father that he wasn't really living. I think we all see characteristics in our parents that we are determined not to let be repeated in us. Then we do something that our kids just can't stand. It's life. It didn't seem like he was strong enough to overcome that, yet he was a stubborn, tough bull rider.
To me, the whole book was worth it just for the ending chapter or two. Ty's revelations in those long eight seconds he's riding the bull were drawn out perfectly to display their importance. It was emotional and gut wrenching all at the same time. A super, duper great ending!
I was given a complimentary copy of this book via NetGalley. All thoughts are my own.
