I usually don’t read westerns but I’ll definitely read another from this author. I loved this book, I became invested in the characters and the story was well written. It flowed and developed as it should. I highly recommend this book.

I just finished reading this book and I am full of so much emotion that I am not sure that I can write a review that will really do this book justice. I fell in love with this author when I read the first book in this series. A True Cowboy Christmas. That book was about Gray and Abby. I fell in love with the Everett family. Gray, Ty and Brady were brothers and they all had endured so much pain and heart ache in their lives. They all felt like they were lacking things because that is what their father wanted them to feel. All their lives he had told them time and time again how worthless they were. After time each of them had started to believe what they were told. This second book is a second chance romance book. It is Ty's second chance not only at love but at seeing that he is not his father. That is Ty's greatest fear. That is has become who is father was. He fell in love with Hannah while he was in the rodeo. She was the Rodeo Queen and she was not allowed to be in a relationship. They dated in secret, they fell in love in secret and they got married in secret. Then the thing Ty feared most happened. Hannah told him she was pregnant and he lashed out. He could not be a dad because he was so afraid he was his dad. He did the only thing he knew to do. He was mean and he told Hannah to leave. Hannah did just that because she thought she exactly like her mother and she ran. That night fate stepped in and Ty got trampled by a bull and was hospitalized for a long time. Hannah did not stay she ran and Ty did not remember her because he lost his memory of the last two years. Now a long time later Hannah is back because she still loves Ty but he does not remember her. Now their journey really begins. Hannah fighting for herself and her son. Ty not remembering but still feeling such a pull towards this woman who claims she is his wife. What will happen when all the secrets come out? Will Ty and Hannah be able to navigate their way threw all the lies? Honestly you need to read not just this book but this series. It made me feel so many things all at once. This book gutted me and the only thing I could think of as I read the last words in this book was when is Brady's book coming out. I cannot wait to see what happens next in this Everett family because I am so invested in the outcome. I am so emotionally connected to this story. January 28, 2020 seems really too far away. I not only want to thank Net Galley for giving me the chance to read this book but I would like to thank the author and the publisher too. When I first requested this I was turned down and I was honestly really upset because I needed to read this story. Now that I have the wait is on until the next book. I am 100 percent certain that Brady's book will be just as amazing as the first two. I voluntarily reviewed this book in exchange for an honest review.

Interesting story....great characters, but a little too much dialogue and reflection to keep the story moving for me. I had a hard time with Hannah just leaving Jack for over two weeks, and delaying telling Ty for so long.
Just an average read for me.

I requested this book to read and review Cold Heart, Warm cowboy. By author Caitlin Crews. This is the first book by this author and I loved it. The plot was realistic and flowed very well. I loved the characters Ty, Hannah and the brothers and Jack! I loved how the brothers come together when needed but can each go their own separate way. This is a great read for anytime of the year. I can picture the setting that the author described. There is a couple of places for mature reader but the rest could easily be for any type of reader. This would make a great beach read or a birthday or Christmas gift.

I've read tons of second chance at romance books but this one is unique. I won't spoil it for you but I was rooting for Ty and Hannah the second they laid eyes on each other again. This is the next book in the Cold River Ranch Series. I haven't read the first but I intend to circle back to it, needless to say, this is novel can stand alone. Both characters are flawed but have huge hearts in desperate need of each other. A great read but keep the tissue box nearby.

After reading this entire book, I decided 4 stars was a fair rating. To be honest, up to the last quarter of the book I found myself very frustrated with the amount of inner monologue. I have no problems with being inside a character's head and knowing what he/she is thinking. Unfortunately, this book did not have a good balance of monologue verses dialogue. For example, our heroine would ask a question and it was literally pages later where the hero answered. By the time I got to the answer, I had to re-read because I couldn't remember the question. This happened throughout most of the book. Also, this was my same issue with the first book in the series. Thankfully, the last 25% of the book moved faster and I was able to enjoy the story more and forget my frustration.

So, despite that issue, I did enjoy the book. The characters were complex and flawed. Both the H/h had emotional stress to deal with. I will say that Hannah was a hot mess and I completely understood why. Seriously, if the love of my life could not remember I existed I don't know that I would deal with it as well as Hannah seemed to. There were many other conflicts in the story added by secondary characters, for instance, Hannah's mother. Those character conflicts helped me to enjoy the story more. That said, while I complained about writing flow, etc., I did overall enjoy Ty and Hannah's story. I'm going to read the next book which features the last brother, Brady, because despite my complaints I'm invested I the happily-ever-after of this family.

Hannah fell for a rodeo cowboy and risked her crown as Miss Rodeo Forever. She married him in secret and was shocked to find she was expecting. Ty came from an abusive home and was not pleased to learn of the pregnancy. When he is thrown by a bull and loses his memory of the last two years, his life is altered in many ways. This is a second chance romance and not an easy one. The relationship between Hannah and Ty is a struggle that involves both parties working to solve issues with their upbringing.

Aw what a cute story. Great read for the commute to work or poolside :) It's a story about a series of misunderstandings, poor communication and youthful stupidity but it all leads to a happy ending.

Cold Heart, Warm Cowboy won't leave you cold-hearted, the sweet second chance romance will leave you with a warm, fuzzy feeling instead. Rodeo Queen Hannah Monroe has not heard from her husband in eighteen months, since he told her to get out of his hospital room and never come back. She is raising their baby with her mother and aunt's help and now wants a divorce. After driving all the way from Georgia to Colorado, Hannah cannot seem to hold on to her anger when it seems the cowboy who abandoned her does not even recall their relationship. Ty Everett, rodeo star, got whooped by a bull and has forgotten the last two years of his life. He wants to make a go at the marriage with the pretty rodeo queen that he cannot remember but does not want to let go of. I’m not sure I’d describe Ty Everett as having a ‘cold heart’. I’d probably say a deeply troubled man who has had a terrible childhood, along with his brothers, and is dealing with severe injuries from a rodeo accident. And as the book describes her, ‘Rodeo Queen’ Hannah Monroe is a key to his recovery.

Don’t want to give any spoilers so I’ll just say, for what I loved about this story? My heart went out to both these characters. Ty’s memory is blank, for about a two year period (due to his accident) and he doesn’t remember Hannah or the fact that they were secretly married. The other big problem is…Hannah doesn’t have any idea Ty can’t remember her!

There is heartache, true, but both Hannah and Ty need one another in order to make it. There is a part of the story (about Ty and his brothers) that I believe is an overall series story that warms my heart. I loved Ty’s and Hannah’s story too, even when it made me sad or angry with some of the characters (can you hear me, Hannah’s mom???), and I read it straight thru. Great read. I received this ARC for an honest review. This book is about Hannah and Ty. Hannah is a rodeo queen, and Ty is a rodeo champion. They met during the tour and fell in love, They had to keep their love and marriage in secret until the tour was over because it would ruin Hannah’s reputation. On the night Hannah found out she was pregnant and told Ty, he was angry about the baby and got stomped on by a bull. When Hannah got to the hospital Ty kicks her out. About a year later, she decides to confront Ty about the baby. What happens? You must read the book! This is a cute story and I will read another from Caitlin Crews.

Cold Heart, Warm Cowboy is an outstanding western romance by Caitlin Crews. Ms. Crews has delivered a well-written book populated with phenomenal characters. Hannah and Ty married in secret. After fighting about her getting pregnant, Ty gets stomped by a rodeo bull. Ty sends her away from his hospital bed. Hannah arrives at Ty's family ranch in Colorado looking for answers 18 months later. Hannah and Ty's story is loaded with drama, humor, sizzle and a blank memory. I enjoyed reading Cold Heart, Warm Cowboy and look forward to reading more from Caitlin Crews in the future. Cold Heart, Warm Cowboy is book 2 of the Cold River Ranch Series but can easily be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.

Interesting premise- sounded exciting. I was very much interested in this book as a follow up to Gray's.

While Ty is recovering from a horrific rodeo injury he returns home with a little secret- he doesn't remember a big portion of his life. So when Hannah Monroe show ups with her rodeo queen looks, Ty assumes she another buckle bunny. While I like Hannah's character, I did not like her hem hawing around trying to feel Ty out on his memory for what felt like forever before she tells him- Oh I'm you're wife! So then I kept waiting on her to tell him that he has a son since we know it all at this point. But nope- takes forever to get to that point and it's mostly inner dialogue inside the minds of Ty and Hannah.

It was an enjoyable read and finish- just lacking and not for me!

Cold Heart, Warm Cowboy by Caitlin Crews is the second book in her Cold River Ranch series. I loved the first book but this one panned out to be rather lukewarm but I'll still wait anxiously for the third brother to get his book. This is Ty Everett and Hannah Moore's story.

Hannah Moore who was a former Rodeo Queen met Ty at one of the rodeos where he was injured severely by the bull he was riding. Since his injuries also left him with amnesia and returned back to Cold River, Montana to recover. But he leaves Hannah with two things that she decides he needs to know about one is a child but the other is a surprise. So she decides after 10 months to head to the ranch and find Ty to give him a little information but how will he take it if he doesn't remember?

Ty Everett has always wanted two things to leave the ranch and his alcoholic father and rodeo he's accomplished both enjoying the rodeo bunnies was just a perk. When he meets Hannah it doesn't take long for him to realize that she may be "The One". However, one ride on a rather testy bull will injure him and take all his memories too. When she shows up at the ranch not only does he not know her but she drops a bombshell but only one, so he'll not only try to remember but could he see if they can start over?

My only problem with the story was how bitter Hannah's mother was even though she doesn't accept her bitterness toward men in general (both were abandoned even though Hannah wasn't really) but I still would give the book 4 stars.

Cold Heart, Warm Cowboy is an amnesia second chance romance. Ty and Hannah were rodeo people who secretly married, then a huge fight, then Ty has a bull riding accident and gets amnesia. Two years on, Hannah returns for a divorce, but she has no idea about the amnesia. How can you divorce a guy who doesn't remember marrying you? Obviously, the story is wrapped around a lot of emotional baggage. Will Ty remember Hannah? But, she is also keeping a big secret from Ty. Are they headed for disaster or reconciliation? The story is engaging, entertaining and heart warming. Hannah and Ty are flawed and sympathetic but likeable characters who are in a complex situation. This is the first story I've read by the author, and I will read more. Thanks to NetGalley for an arc in exchange for an honest review.

In this second of Caitlin Crew's books on the Everett brothers it is the middle brothers turn. This family has much to deal with, in this case Ty's recovery from a bull riding accident. They don't know that Ty suffers from organic mental health issues exacerbated by difficult childhood abuse and neglect. Hannah comes with her own set of problems but has spunk enough to survive discovering Ty's amnesia. This is a highly emotional story that climaxes with one of the most intriguing writing techniques to which I've been exposed. I loved those 8 seconds!
There are great messages of the power of love in this family, and I look forward to the next in the series.

Cold Heart, Warm Cowboy is the story of Ty and Hannah. The book revolves around Ty suffering a tragic rodeo accident which left him with amnesia and Hannah running away from her troubles, which happened to be Ty.

I loved the writing style. I loved Ty and his family dynamic. I loved the premise of Ty's amnesia and not remembering his wife or that they were expecting. I also loved the supporting characters. I loved the idea of a tough, yet glamorous Rodeo Queen. Unfortunately, I did not love Hannah. I felt her constant running and over reliance on her mother was so weak. I also felt that the middle 60ish percent of the story should have been cut. It was just constant Hannah talking in circles to avoid telling Ty essential truths. The reader doesn't even have a hint as to why Hannah ran until around 20%, and then you are still left wondering how she could possibly be such a weak woman. But we did see more Everett family dynamics which really kept me reading. And the ending was very satisfying. I wish the middle were cut and their story picked up after the rodeo. I wanted current events, not Hannah's circles.

Overall a mixed bag for me. There were many aspects I loved but I absolutely do not enjoy reading about weak female leads. I did love the first book in this series and would love to read the next. The setting and family dynamics make the books even more enjoyable. This one was good, I was just expecting a different direction. The author does have a gift in her writing style, Ty gets his redemption, and I love the family dynamics so I would give it a try. This one can stand alone as well.

I like the twist of the hero having amnesia. Ty and Hannah have to find each other again. Ty has to believe he is his own man, and not his father

Emotional, Explosively Emotional. Those are the words that I would use if I had to compact it into just a few. And there was plenty of angst to go around. Neither one of the main characters had experienced a delightful childhood either. They both carried pain and more pain. And when they re-meet again the pain just goes on for both of them. But they also have some interesting moments too. It's not all pain or I wouldn't have continued being interested in the story. It was about some pretty complex people though.
It was interesting to watch the three brothers together. Ty was hiding who he really was, even with what he could remember. Hannah was beginning to see that. She also observed the youngest brother, Brady hid as well. She saw the business man, the powerhouse that he really was. And how often he stuffed it down around his brothers, especially Gray. Gray was pretty much..what you saw was what you got. Even though from all accounts he had changed for the better after marrying Abby.
It was a fight almost every step of the way. It left me wondering how any things could or would work out for Hannah and Ty. And also how Ty was going to find out about his son. I just knew it would be in the worst way possible and I didn't know what his reaction was going to be.
The book comes to an intense ending, in keeping with the intense nature of the whole book.

I know, I know - it is not easy to overcome your upbringing and your personal experiences and try to believe in love and a better future especially when you are not the only one whose happiness is at stake. Though honestly, I just wish that those two had dared to be more open, to simply talk because that would have saved both of them so much heartbreak and fear but alas - they didn't. Even though their lack of real communication sometimes drove me mad, I very much enjoyed reading this book and the well-developed characters in it.

Ty and Hannah were both very lovable characters. Both have been hurt and both have to fight their own insecurities but you can feel that they belong together and could be happy - if they can let go of their fears and let the other one into their life for real.

I loved Hannah a lot with her sparkling....well, not only her personality sparkles but also her clothes. She is still a rodeo queen at heart no matter what happened. With her daring to reach out to him, it's up to Ty to turn their marriage into a real one again - but how can you do that if you don't remember anything about those good times (and the bad) anymore that made you marry someone? Well, to be honest - it would be nice to remember having married and having a wife at all, right? Throw in a little son you didn't know about and. yup, things are a tiny bit complicated.
I'm really looking forward to the next book in this series!
