Cold Heart, Warm Cowboy by Caitlin Crews is a down-to-earth cowboy story with some romance, but much more solving of personal problems. Ty Everett is a broken ex-bull rider with the opportunity to make it right with one more ride-one he's not letting anyone in his family know about. One day, out of nowhere a beautiful rodeo queen drives up to his house. Does he know her? He can't remember. Something else no one in his family knows about-during the last fall his memory of the previous two years went up in dust. He's managed to keep his secret but being gruff and unapproachable. Is that going to keep working?

What a fabulous book by Caitlin Crews-raw emotion from Ty and Hannah showing every bit of each vulnerability in a complicated relationship, which is complicated further by Ty's amnesia and Hannah's secret. Can you even imagine not remembering your wife, your life? Or worse, can you imagine looking into the eyes of your husband, who you love, and seeing that he has no memories of you at all. Crews had put all those emotions and more on the page in such a way that makes your soul cry for release. The pain is honest and real. Ty had a tough childhood with a horrible father. His brother Gray has mostly gotten beyond the problems his father caused for him. Can Ty do the same? Can Hannah forget her mother's advice that all men are liars and make something of her life? Every page brings tears, some of sadness, some of joy. Read it. You will love it. I highly recommend Cold
Heart, Warm Cowboy.

Ty Everett left home to pursue a career riding bulls. The last ride however landed him is the hospital in really bad shape. Not only body but he lost memory of two years which he told no one. He always fudged his way through so no one knew. His father died shortly after his accident so he returned to Cold River Ranch to heal. The three brothers promised they would stay and work the ranch for a year. Hannah Monroe was Rodeo Queen but when Ty got hurt, she walked away and of course there were a lot of rumors. No one knew that she and Ty had gotten married in vegas as she didn’t want to lose her crown. She had worked too hard for it and holding it for the second year was quite a feat. When she went to the hospital, Ty really blasted her and told her to leave and not come back. She now has come to find out if he loves her or if the marriage is truly over. When she finds out he doesn’t remember her as well as their marriage, she also realizes he doesn’t remember her telling him she was pregnant which is what they had their fight over before he was injured. This story was about trying to find themselves as well as him working through his own problems. His father was a mean and cruel man and always was worse on Ty than his two brothers. For example, for his 18th birthday, he received a black eye. Put him down all the time, really getting into his head. Could they have a second chance. I received an advanced copy from NetGalley and this is my honest review.

The good die young and eventually so do the bad. What a horrible number Amos did on the Everett brothers before he left this world. Never is it seen so clearly as in Cold Heart, Warm Cowboy by Caitlin Crews. Sharp, crisp writing makes the story of Ty remembering his past to be able to find his future, stark and heartbreaking. It is also heartwarming and sweet too as this dysfunctional family knit themselves back together with Ty and Hannah at the center.

In case you think that the Everett’s have the market on struggling with emotional turmoil, Hannah Monroe Everett has had plenty in her life to. Going along with these two as they do the impossible is a touching read. Since it is a romance the outcome was a given but seeing how it all comes about is well worth the read. I can see a younger Tim McGraw and Faith Hill in these roles.

Cold Heart, Warm Cowboy is book 2 in the Cold River Ranch series by Caitlyn Crews. This a new to me author but I definitely will be reading more of her books!

Ty Everett, rodeo bull rider since he turned 18 has a fall that has caused partial amnesia. He returns home to figure out what is next in his life...if only he could remember....

Hannah Everett, former rodeo queen gave up everything when she met Ty, gave her innocence to him, married him , had a child he knows nothing about... now all she wants is a divorce.

Can these to find a way to overcome all the past hurts, his amnesia and secrets to a HEA or will they just divorce and go their separate ways??

This read was filled with emotions and drama. I liked it but didn't love it. I thought the story was OK but nothing fresh. As for the characters, I liked Ty a lot but I was not a fan of Hannah's. Both these characters had emotional baggage, which is something I always enjoy in a book. I think it creates a level playing field. So for me, I'd call it a middle-of-the-road read. It's not great and it's not awful., it just is and I think it will either work for you or not.

I really enjoyed this heartwarming contemporary western romance with characters so real you feel like you know them and want them to do well and a beautifully written story that had me on an emotional roller coaster and unable to put the book down from the first word to the last. I really liked the attraction and undeniable chemistry between Ty Everett who is suffering from partial amnesia after falling from a rodeo bull and rodeo queen Hannah Monroe. This is a perfect read for anyone who enjoys realistic and emotional cowboy romances. Ms. Crews never disappoints and I look forward to book three in her Cold River Ranch series. I received an advance reader copy of "Cold Heart, Warm Cowboy" from the publisher via NetGalley and am voluntarily leaving my honest review.

This book is a second chance/amnesia trope. I really liked this book , but parts of it didn't seem to fit well with the image of the main character. She seemed to at least try to live by the rules of the Rodeo Queen. However, her actions didn't always follow suite in real life. I don't know any mother who would willingly walk away from her baby for that length of time (although the separation did start out as a way to protect him). It was inconceivable to me.
Ty was so worried about turning out like his father that he wasn't really living. I think we all see characteristics in our parents that we are determined not to let be repeated in us. Then we do something that our kids just can't stand. It's life. It didn't seem like he was strong enough to overcome that, yet he was a stubborn, tough bull rider.
To me, the whole book was worth it just for the ending chapter or two. Ty's revelations in those long eight seconds he's riding the bull were drawn out perfectly to display their importance. It was emotional and gut wrenching all at the same time. A super, duper great ending!
I was given a complimentary copy of this book via NetGalley. All thoughts are my own.

Ty has always loved the rodeo, and a mishap with a bull causes him to lose 2 years of his memory. Part of that 2 years was a relationship with Rodeo Queen Hannah. They were secretly married because of rodeo circuit rules for the rodeo queens, and she leaves the rodeo when she becomes pregnant with his son. She shows up at the ranch 2 years after his accident to either fight for their relationship or end it with a divorce. She finds that he has amnesia and doesn't even remember her or their relationship. Entertaining read and I can't wait for book 3!

Ty Everett has been riding bulls in rodeos since he was eighteen. Then, a freak accident leaves him with partial amnesia, forcing him to return to Cold Creek River Ranch to figure out what comes next. All this is made more difficult because he cannot quite recall how he got there or who the gorgeous woman, who appears at the ranch claiming to know him, is. Rodeo Queen Hannah Monroe gave up her crown and her innocence for Ty, but what she wants now is a divorce, plain and simple. Now, Hannah is finding it difficult to leave Ty after their secret wedding and after the son she never meant to hide from Ty. How does one do this, leave a man who does not even remember who she is or their secret wedding—and who she is still loves? And, what then?

This is an interesting book. The basic premise of a main character who is suffering from amnesia with all sorts of secrets he cannot remember, even when they come face-to-face with him, is a bit different. The two main characters, Hannah and Ty, were definitely complex. The author chose to reveal them with a lot of inner dialogue, though I sometimes thought that was a bit overdone. I also was not thrilled with Hannah, who came across as rather weak to me. Still, the family dynamics within the Everett family made for an interesting read. I have not read the other book in the series, so I have nothing to compare this one to. It is a good read but will never be one of my favorites. Still, I think the reader who enjoyed the first book will find this one satisfying and it will help movie through the series. As I said, I have not read the other book in the series, but I found this one very stand-alone incase any reader is wondering. I received this form NetGalley to read and review.

Hannah has come half way cross country to confront Ty Everett for a divorce. He had not wanted her or their child when she had rushed to his bedside after a rodeo accident. The trip did not turn out as expected when she found he had had amnesia about the last 2 years and did not remember her. This is a great romance of these two people overcoming their past families holding them back and finding new romance and a future together.
I was given an ARC of this book by Netgalley and the publisher in exchange for an honest review.

Hannah has traveled to Ty's ranch in Colorado to see if he really doesn't remember her. Ty doesn't remember anything in the last two years since he was bucked off a bull. Ty feels drawn to Hannah, but he doesn't remember this sweet talking beautiful former Rodeo Queen. When Hannah tells them about their secret marriage, Ty takes her back to his family's ranch. Hannah has a secret that will affect their marriage. I received a free copy of this book from the publisher. This is my honest and voluntarily given review. I absolutely love books in which I can connect with the main characters. Even though I don't feel the exact pain and emotions of the characters, I can connect with them. As Ty and Hannah reconnect, we really get to know them. I love this book and series. .

DNF - not my kind of book.

Brought up by a single mother who has been brainwashing her since forever that men are not reliable & just want "one thing", the heroine supposedly starts off being studious & quiet. How on earth did she end up with a job being a rodeo queen? She falls for the hero who is a bull rider & they get married. There is some huge tiff, he has a bad accident with a bull & he gives her the cold shoulder so much that she leaves him or he tells her to leave. whatever. I didn't make it that far to find out.

Fast forward & Hannah has a baby & goes to seek out Ty who is recuperating at his family's farm. She keeps treating him like he wronged her badly but never tells him exactly what or why & he is just plain irritating, playing suave & cool. *rolls eyes*

I struggled thru a few chapters and gave up. The story was really angsty and depressing and I couldn't like either character.

Second in a series about 3 brothers who had an abusive childhood. Ty is the middle brother who ran off to join the rodeo as a bull rider at 18. A fall causes amnesia and he has to return to the ranch to recuperate. Hannah is the rodeo queen who gave everything up for Ty, is done with that and wants a divorce. She returns to the ranch to confront him but finds out he has amnesia and is torn. Can she leave him this way? What about the son he doesn’t know about? A very intense story with a lot of inner dialog, which can be distracting and an eventual happily ever after.

This book, I loved it so much! Like, really, really, broke my rule and stayed up way too late on a work night to finish it because I couldn’t put it down, love it! What wasn’t to love? Cowboy, my crack. My favourite trope, right there. Smart, shy, and sassy heroine, hold me back. Interfering family, because they care so much, but don’t know how to show it, all over the place!

But really, the relationship, the discovery of Ty and Hannah, I loved the people they were, the people they are, apart, together, fighting, making up, everything all about them. Once I hit a certain point, I knew thinking about setting this story aside was a lost cause. I needed to see how they got their HEA. I needed to move past the pain they were causing each other. I needed them to see what the other saw in them. I needed them to get their closure, get past it all, and find the love they were so capable of. And when they did, when it all came together, I just kept crying those tears of happiness!

This is Book 2 in the Cold River Ranch series. What a great book. Ty ran off to the rodeo when he was 18 years old. Now he’s back home with partial amnesia. He can’t remember much of his life or why he left home. He’s got a long way to go but Hannah came to see him. And she has a secret that he doesn’t know about. If he finds out, what will happen to them? This is a very good 2nd chance romance book with a lot of emotional things happening between Ty and Hannah. I highly recommend you read it if you are looking for a sweet romance. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book that I received from Netgalley

A Caitlin Crews book is generally identifiable: the way she writes is distinctive, which can be good, if you like the style, or bad, if it irritates you a bit. I usually like her books, but the criticism, from me, is almost always the same: the characters stay too much inside their heads. Cold Heart ,Warm Cowboy is no different; there is so much thinking, remembering, musing, etc, that it gets boring. Not a lot happens, especially in the first part of the book. It's not very memorable, aside from the fact that it's boring.

Ty was a Rodeo king, a bull rider that liked to live life to it's fullest, a playboy that knew he would never settle down and become a dad because the role model he had was a horrible one that was full of hate so there was no way he was ever going to pass that down to a precious child.

Hannah was a Rodeo Queen who won numerous competitions and had a squeaky clean reputation so there was no way she would ever consider going out with Ty Everett the bad boy of Rodeo but he somehow won her over and they secretly started dating. Not only that but they got married and she became pregnant, and then Ty was trampled by a bull he was riding and doesn't remember any of it.

My heart broke for him because he lost so much and he didn't let anyone in so his own brothers didn't know the severity of his injury and what it meant for him. While I liked the book I had a hard time accepting Hannah’s ability to continually lie to Ty, even if was only a lie of omission, no matter what he had said to her in the past he deserved to know the truth.

This has been an enjoyable series so far and I really can't wait to see what happens in the next book, THE LAST REAL COWBOY, which is Brady Everett's story. If you enjoy Westerns, Cowboys, or even Second-Chance-Romance I recommend reading COLD HEART, WARM COWBOY.

Happy Reading!!!

Ok so I didn't realize it was an amnesia novel until Ty revealed it, and I didn't expect to like it since I don't really fancy amnesia novel but anyway this was an emotional roller coaster. I still love Abby and Gray's story more, but Hannah and Ty's story is equally great.

Can't wait for Brady's book!

Ty is the rodeo star with a painful past and Hannah was the rodeo queen with the expectations of her hometown resting on her shoulders. They know they should keep their distance but their hearts wouldn’t listen so they end up secretly married with the intention to tell everyone once her reign comes to an end.

Before that can happen Ty suffers a serious injury while bull riding and loses his memory. Her visit to him at the hospital did not go well and it will be 18 months before they see each other again as he heads to his family’s ranch and she goes home to her mother.

Hannah has decided that she needs a divorce so that she can move forward with her life but when she sees Ty again it raises more questions than answers. She realizes that not only didn’t he tell her about his memory loss but he didn’t tell his family as well. When he finds out they are married he wants to start fresh but will the baggage from their pasts as well as the secret she hasn’t told him destroy their second chance?

This is a story of healing, love and second chances between two people who have to learn that their parent’s pasts don’t have to dictate their future.

I want to start by saying this is the first book I have ever read by Ms. Crews. It will not be my last either. It pulled on my heart from the very beginning and I enjoyed seeing Ty and Hannah find their way back to each other. It was not an easy path for them to take but rewarding in the end. There were moments that I wanted to smack Ty on the head because he was stubborn. They both let their past get in their way and need to learn to let it go in order to move forward. But everything is not always that easy, remember the stubborn man part.
I did not put this book down once I started it and was hooked.
