Love B J Daniels work and this is topnotch
Love the twists and turns in Chase and Mary's story
Don't want to give anything away but if you like your romances with a thread of thriller this is for you !!

A psychological, murder mystery, emotional love lost, love reclaimed, type romance. Good plot, writing, etc.
Not as much romance, as more murderous plots story, with a happy ever after ending. But still very enjoyable, from a good author.

Sometimes we read a book that stays with you for awhile, this was one of those books. I devoured this book from the beginning to the end. The characters and the chemistry was so good. I enjoyed the suspense and the detail left nothing to chance. Great read.

this is a good story, Chase has made some bad decisions but is tryin to do the right thing. Mary was left behind but neither can move on. now he is back but trouble has moved to town also. Chase wants to find his father he left because his mother was sick and he wanted to be there. if you like suspense and romance you will like the story. well written I was given a copy of the book by net galley but this is an honest review.

Mary Cardwell Savage and Chase Steele are given a second chance at love.
A story full of suspense, and romance. Wonderful chemistry between protagonist. A great read !
4 stars !!
I received this ARC through Netgally for a honest review.

I had not read a BJ Daniels book in a long time. I had enjoyed them but got sidetracked; however, I will definitely be looking for her books again. This book reminded me of the movie Fatal Attraction in a good way. I loved the movie and also loved this book. Mary Cardwell Savage and Chase Steele have loved each other since their teens. However, Chase had to leave Big Sky, Montana, to see some of the world.
Mary sends him a letter that she misses him and just as he decides to head back to Montana, he meets Fiona Barkley. Fiona decides he is the man for her and follows him. Mishaps ensue so Chase has to work to get Mary's trust again.

Oh...my...God! **Sigh** Holding my breath from the suspense and the passion! Need I say more! Book provided by NetGalley

This is a well written book that is full of suspense and drama. It will keep you turning the pages to see what happens next. Thank you Harlequin - Romance via NetGalley for the ARC copy of this book. All opinions expressed are my own.

Suspense, drama and intrigue abound in this story. A real page turner. Keep your wits about you to see if you can predict the twists.

I haven’t read a BJ Daniels book in awhile, so I was excited to get the opportunity to review the start of this new series. It is a continuation/spin off of the popular Cardwell Ranch series.
Time is not wasted in this book. From the get go, we meet the hero, the psycho “ex” and find out why he is not with the love of his life. Once he decides to go and get his girl, we meet the heroine and the town folk of Big Sky, Montana.
There are other nefarious goings on in Big Sky and I enjoyed the different story lines within the main story (murder / cattle thieves / biological father search). There was no wondering if Chase and Mary were going to get together, just a matter of when. Chase made it known from the day he returned that he would get Mary back. I’m glad she didn’t just fall into his hands. Helping him find his biological father was a good way for them to spend time together and get to know each other again.
The sprinkle of villains were a nice touch, but Fiona/Lucy definitely wins the psycho award. I am looking forward to the next book in the series.
ARC received from NetGalley for an honest review.

STEELE. RESOLVE. by B. J. Daniels
Fiona after 1 night, she felt Chase pulling away from her. She made a key, found a lavender letter from another woman.in his sock drawer. She had been in his apartment many times while he was at work. Now having a name, Mary, wanting to kill her. Catching her in his apartment again, tells her his job is done, and would be leaving. Montana, that where Mary lived.
His boss felt sorry he didn’t tell him about .Fiona, she has done this many times. He remembers seeing her the first time, she sold real estate, acted and dressed like a professional.
An accident and she became Lucy, and then the plan, become friends with Mary. Would he be in time, would she believe he did care about her, was sick with the thought that she might have died in the accident, but no he didn’t love her. Twists and turns with a woman not knowing reality, abused, and not loved. Gripping tale and the author’s books always give us a good story
Given ARC for my voluntary review and my honest opinion from Net Galley and Harliquin.

Mary and Chase were together for a long time a long time ago. They broke up and Chase left town. After years of being out of contact, Mary reaches out to Chase. Chase is at a point in his life he wants to come home and back to Mary. But he's not the only one to go home. I received my copy from Netgalley. I really enjoyed the story. There were a number of twists and moments of suspense that were done well. The main characters were likable and the story moved at a good pace. I would recommend this book.

What a tangled web Chase found himself in, getting mixed up with a maniac, he has brewed more trouble than he ever could have imagined for himself and his loved ones. Mary’s emotions were seesawing but one thing that was constant was her love for Chase. Now he is in a race against time to save her from a mad woman’s clutches who is also out to cause mayhem in their lives. An intensely intriguing and romantic read which captivates from the very beginning.

Steel Resolve was an easy read with a common story line. There is drama, action and suspense that keeps you flipping the pages.
There are a couple of characters from prior books from this series that appear in this one, however this book is a standalone.
This book was a quick enjoyable read!

I requested and received an ARC of this book from NetGalley for an honest review.
Steel Resolve follows the story of Mary Cardwell Savage and Chase Steel who were best friends and had a romantic relationship until Chase went to tend to his dying mother. After years of being separated Chase receives a letter from Mary prompting him to want to return to where things left off. He is also followed back by a delusional one night stand who believes that Mary stands the way of their love. What follows is misunderstandings, murder, yearning and unrequited love. We can expect a HEA as this is a Harlequin romance.
When I was younger I really loved Harlequin romances and would read one a day. As an adult I moved away from Harlequin to other genres but this has always been my favorite. That being said, B. J. Daniels is one of my long time favorite writers and one that pulls me into the story and characters. I remember a while back I started reading Hud and Dana's (the female mc's parents) story about the Cardwell ranch, but I never finished. Now that I have read their daughter's story I will go back and read it. I love when we get to see children of characters we have read about.

Mary and Chase take you through this exciting romantic thriller. The one crazy person Chase happened to catch her attention was the one that kept pulling the suspense strings. Mary being the adorable character is caught in the middle it would seem. This author knows how to keep us on edge with the shenanigans that the crazy person does make occur. Delightful wrap up with us catching our breath for a minute until the next one.

I have been a fan of BJ Daniels for many years and I have never been disappointed in any of the books that I've read. This was quite an interesting story with a daring female protagonist. I felt the characters were well developed and I loved the Montana backdrop. The pace of the story was fast-moving. I could have read this in one sitting; if I had the time to do so. The hero of the story, Chase Steel, has a maniacal stalker from Arizona; where he was living, and doesn't realize it until he's back home in Montana. There have been a few murders in his small hometown in the few weeks that he's been back. He blames himself for a lot of things; including the stalker; and now he has put the love of his life in danger. Will he and the local law enforcement be in time to stop the madness?
My only negative feeling is that I felt the final confrontation felt rushed and almost forced and there could have been a little more to the conclusion/resolution for the main characters.

Steel Resolve – B.J. Daniels
I was fortunate to receive this book as an Advance Reader Copy from Netgalley, in exchange for an objective review.
Mary Cardwell Savage is a young single woman living in Big Sky, Montana. Beautiful, but aloof, Mary continues to love the man who left her – her best friend and high school sweetheart Chase Steele. After receiving a package in the mail for him, Mary breaks down and pens her feelings into a letter, never intending for it to be mailed.
Chase Steele has come to terms with things. After receiving Mary’s letter, he too realizes that she’s the one he’s never stopped loving, and that it’s time to go home to Montana - and to Mary. However, someone else has read his letter…as he makes plans to set out for home, Fiona Barkley will stop at nothing to thwart his plans and gain his affection as her own….
Fiona has set her sights on Chase as a husband, and she’ll stop at nothing to get him. Believing she’ll soon transfer her affections to another man, Chase vastly underestimates Fiona. But when Fiona’s vehicle has been found in a river, the result of a one car crash, Fiona is presumed dead.
Lucy Carson, newcomer to Big Sky Montana, seems to have incredible luck. Shortly after her arrival, a barista, and tenant in Mary’s apartment, is killed by a hit and run driver, freeing up a job and an apartment for Lucy. A sweet girl, Mary soon becomes fond of her. Then Chase returns to Montana to claim his love - and things start to happen…
This was the perfect mid length story that Harlequin is famous for. A quick but captivating read, even if you know how the end will turn out. I’ve read a few of B.J. Daniels’ stories, and I’ve enjoyed every one of them! I hope to see her in some full-length novels soon – she certainly has what it takes!! Great read!!

Quick easy read with a predictable plot, story and ending. If you like that sort of book then this is for you. Long time childhood sweethearts and a couple of psychopaths that get in the middle of their story. Not a lot of depth to characters or story.
I received this book as a complimentary copy for an honest opinion. The opinions expressed are my own.

Chase and Mary were high school sweethearts until he broke her heart when he left Montana. After leaving he has a little too much to drink at a party and meets Fiona. From there things go downhill quickly and continue to escalate even once he has returned to Montana to the love of his life. Lots of twists in this cowboy romance. Highly recommend reading!
