An entertaining read. Story doesn't seem like a story, rather it is more like the life of someone next door. A light read

This is an average novel, consisting of average characters with average problems and an average love-life in an average story written in an average style. Nothing bad, but also nothing that really gripped my interest.

So I dnf at 45%, since there are so many other books on my pile waiting to be read.

Not much depth but a good summer read, rom-com style. The main character is a forty something divorced living with her mum and daughter. Failed dates, past loves and a mystery Prince Charming it is an enjoyable simple story of love... the second time or maybe third time around. It would’ve been nice to hear about the stories for the book the main character was writing - I’m sure they could have provided some adventure

Description
What if you could find the love of your life just by reading between the lines?

Single mom Fordham Price is juggling her job at a small publisher, her precocious ten-year-old daughter, and her feisty mother. She wants to find time for men, but after a series of dating disasters, her relationship status is still stuck at single. As if her macchiato lite wasn’t already overflowing, a co-worker gets pregnant, and Fordham is expected to step in and deliver the company’s latest reality read from the Flowers from the Heart series. She must now supplement her own romantic misadventures with tales of cynical cat-ladies, identical-twin husbands, spunky monks, and countless other web-crawlers. As she wades through the submissions, she finds one from a widower whose story gives her tingles in all the places she forgot existed. His words draw her in until she finds herself daydreaming about him more than she’d care to admit. Could she have a love like that, or will her romantic fate be forever bound to her philandering ex-husband?

My Review:

The novel Love-Lines is a fun, romantic book about Fordham a single mother looking for a relationship. However, juggling her job, daughter and feisty mother make her wish practically impossible. Her dating experience has not been easy. But, all of that changes when she finds herself with not one, but two men. And, trying to decide which one is the best choice will not be easy.

I really enjoyed seeing the interaction between the characters. This novel is fun, however has some points that I just could not wrap myself around. Some parts were just not explained enough and it left me a bit thinking that something was missing.

This book was provided free of charge in exchange for my honest opinion.

I give this book 3 ⭐️⭐️⭐️

I loved how the main characters were of older age and not twenty-somethings trying to figure out if they were truly in love or not. It was a light read full of humor and romance. I really enjoyed this book and I cannot wait to read future Sheri Langer novels!!

This was a cute story about finding love at all ages!

Fordham is a single mom who is struggling to juggle it all: her sassy daughter, her job in publishing, her live-in mother, and romance. Ever since her divorce, she's been on a string of bad dates. Then suddenly, she finds herself caught up between two men and having to decide between them.

This was a nice, light read with some funny mishaps, bad dates, and misunderstandings. I especially liked the multi-generational aspect with Fordham, her mother, and her daughter all living together and pitching in.

I liked it well enough, but I didn't love it simply because I had a really hard time connecting with Fordham. While I could appreciate her struggle as a working mother who is constantly trying to juggle things, beyond that, I didn't like her much or relate. Some of the dialogue and situations seemed unrealistic. Also, there was a situation with one of the love interests that wasn't quite explained fully to seem resolved. *SPOILER* Why was the thong in David's room?! He explained the relationship with Pam as her being kind of a nanny, but what about the underwear and his tie that she bought? What about the fact that they were at a wedding together? *END SPOILER*

Anyway, I enjoyed it enough but it wasn't a favorite. Pick it up if you're looking for a light beach read this summer!
