I was late to the table reading the Goddess With A Blade series since I didn't pick it up until 2018. But once I did, it was love at first sight. And while the entire series is amazing, there is one reason that I fell in love with this series and that reason is Rowan Fucking Summerwaite. Rowan is the best kind of heroine in my opinion. She is prickly, sarcastic and a bad-ass that takes no shit from anyone. Bottom line in, she's my version of heroine catnip.
Wrath of the Goddess has been my favorite installment in the series to date. Not only did I get all the elements of Rowan that I love but there was so much more than that. Rowan has had no shortage of trauma and touch situations in her life, but in this books the situations she encounters target her in a way that makes her realize how vulnerable she has been come in ways she never planned for. No matter how hard Rowan has tried to be a one woman show and how hard she fought emotional entanglements she has found herself surrounded by friends and found family. While these people to keep her safe they are also a source of vulnerability that she didn't ever want someone to use against her.
I loved that Rowan didn't fall back on the approach she has taken in the past by trying to deal with things on her own. Even though she was scared that more people she cared about would end up hurt, she relied on her friends and family to help her clean up the mess once and for all. I loved growth that showed in her character especially because it didn't dilute the elements of her personality that made her who she was.
Wrath of a Goddess was an exhilarating ride with a satisfying conclusion and as always I can't wait for the next installment.

3.5 stars

I've waited over 2 years for this book. I kinda gave up on the series. But to my surprise and gratitude the author will finish this one.
The vampires in these books may not be something new, but the main character certainly is.
Rowan is the type of heroine that you rarely see. Super confident. Powerful. And opinionated without being arrogant.
I think the thing I like most about her is the fact that she doesn't take shit from anyone. If someone is being an idiot they will hear about it.
Rowan doesn't try to please people or make herself liked by everyone.
I'm so happy to see a main character so unique and coolheaded.

The fifth book picks up right where the last one left off. After one of her friends is murdered Rowan starts hunting the people responsible. With some help from Clive and her family and friends.
The action again takes place in Las Vegas and I think the author tried to show us how much Rowan has changed from the first book. And she did.
There were some little things that bothered me throughout the book. It was a little repetitive.

Rowan and Clive. *sigh*. I really like how their relationship has evolved. In the first book it was really forced and rushed, but now it's pretty perfect.

So, even though we've waited so long for this book 'Wrath of the Goddess' is definitely a must-read if you've enjoyed the previous books.

I loved the first 2 books in this series. Number 3 was a bit blah and so far this one is so so. Its starts off with a bang, but....there is no context of when, where, who, why, when. A new reader of this series would find it hard to read, they would probably not read it. there is no introduction, there is no explanation of the characters or whats happened in the past. This was really off putting and after reading the first chapter I haven't been able to pick it up again.

Rowan Summerwaite, elite hunter and human vessel to the goddess Brigid, has returned home to Las Vegas and she’s mad as hell. It seems someone thought they could eliminate Rowan and everyone she holds dear. When I started reading I couldn't put it down.Lauren Dane is magnifysent and amazing writer.I cannot wait to read more of there books.Keep up the great work. You should definitely read this book. Can't wait for the next book.

I was soooo looking forward to this book after the last cliffhanger....and I was not disappointed because I have been very happy to read about Clive and Rowan again, even if the loose a lot of friend...I just hope we do not have to wait so long again for the next installment....

THANKS NETGALLEY FOR THE PREVIEW!

I didn’t realize this book was part of a series at first, so I had to go and read the previous books before I finished this one. I am so glad I did!

Rowan is a badass that any girl or woman can look up to. Clive the that debonnaire Vampyre who you don’t cross for fear of death.

My favorite character though is Theo. The First is the ultimate Vampyre that I would love to see him find a mate that is his match. That would be fun!!!
