This is such a lovely cozy mystery series. I desperately wish that Keepsake Cove was a real place so that I could visit it and all of its lovely people and shops. Mary Ellen Hughes is without a doubt one of my top favorite cozy mystery writers.

I received a copy of this book from Midnight Ink through Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

I really liked the characters and the setting. I thought that the B mystery was way more interesting than the main one.

I just didn't care enough about Hank to be invested. I'd be really interested in reading this series as long as Hank wasn't involved!

I love this series, I really do. Having read the first two books, reading this one was like reconnecting with old friends.
Although the characters seemed to grow in this installment I found the story line a little lack luster in comparison to the earlier books in the series. There seemed to be some disconnection in the story and the ending seemed rushed. But despite all that I still recommend this book.

I started at the end of the series, but I know I will go back and read the beginning of the series. A lovely cozy mystery. Likeable characters, easy to become invested in what happens to them

I received this ARC via Netgalley and Midnight Ink, in return for an honest review. Callie lives in the very small, quirky town of Keepsake Cove. All of the shops are niche collector offering; Callie has the music box store, which she inherited from her aunt. This is a continuation of the series and can be read as a stand-alone. With the arrival of the Spring Festival, there’s great excitement as this is a major moneymaker for the shop owners. Callie is dismayed to learn that her ex-boyfriend, Hank, will be playing with his band as the concert headliners. Things get tricky when Hank is accused of murder during the festival and Callie wants to prevent a miscarriage of justice. Callie’s boyfriend, Brian, is very understanding about her desire to help Hank (and see him on his way). Turns out, lots of people had reasons to kill the victim, which keeps you guessing. This is the third book in the series and can be read as a stand-alone. There are several characters to track; the author does a good job of keeping them straight for the reader.

I really couldn't get into this story. The plot is weak and the characters are uninspiring and uninteresting. I really tried but eventually gave up. Sorry

The Keepsake Cover Spring Festival has arrived along with Callie’s ex, Hank, whose band is headlining the concerts. While Callie is long over Hank, she steps up to help exonerate him when the band’s manager is murdered not long after the two had a very public argument. Luckily Brian, her new boyfriend isn’t the jealous type and he’s willing to help her when and where he can.

As Callie begins digging she finds there are quite a few people with connections to the dead man, both locals and visiting guests. Coincidence? Not this many, for sure. But Callie has to get solid evidence because the police are pretty sure they have their man. But will Callie get the proof she needs before her own time is up?

Book three in the series is another strong entry from the author. Set in the fictional town of Keepsake Cover on Maryland’s Eastern Shore, the town draws in beach goers as well as collectors with their themed shops. It’s a quaint village and a super location. There are quite a few red herrings to keep you seeing several suspects who each had motive of their own to do the deed. Definitely a book to add to your reading pile!

I’ve read the others in this series and was happy to read this one as well.
The storyline was interesting for the most part, but there were times that the story fell a bit flat.

I've enjoyed the series overall, This one however, was a tad confusing with all the characters and didn't feel like it had an ending that was all wrapped up neatly. I have high hopes for the next in the series.

This is the third book in the Keepsake Cove cozy mystery series. I decided on reading the first two before I sat down and read this one. I really enjoyed the first two but this one left me a little unsatisfied. The basis of the book sounded great, an ex-boyfriend returns and gets charged with murder. It makes life a little difficult for the main character, Callie and her boyfriend Brian. I kind of felt sorry for Brian when Callie decided to help solve the murder.

The ending was a bit rushed and there were a lot of characters to keep up with. All in all I liked the book and I look forward to reading the next in the series.

In this third book of the Keepsake Cove Mystery series, Callie Reed is anticipating the spring festival in her little town. That anticipation is soon tinged with surprise as she learns her ex is going to be performing at the festival. But Callie has moved on, and her new boyfriend's is by her side to see Hank perform . The next day however, Hank is accused of murder. Callie might not be in love with Hank anymore, but she knows he's not a murderer, and therefore feels the need to become involved in the investigation.

I was pretty disappointed in this book, I hate to say. I was so looking forward to it because I loved the first in the series . I didn't read the second in the series but when I had the opportunity to read the third as an ARC from NetGalley, I couldn't pass the opportunity by. However, even before I was a quarter of the way through the book, I just wanted to find out who the murderer was and get on with it. I lost track of who all the characters were and didn't feel compelled enough by the story to figure out who was who. I hope this was just a fluke , or perhaps I just wasn't in the mindset to read this book, but as a reviewer I must say I would give this one a pass.
