I received an advanced readers copy in exchange for an honest review

Pretty steamy, the romance is pretty basic, but I’m assuming you don’t read these for the plot. Solid three

Vim has no patience, none at all, “be quick about it, lest I aid you and shred the thing to bits.” I liked that Sophie had spunk and personality and I really loved Vim.

Lady Sophie is a soft touch for wounded animals. When Vim helps Sophie out during a snowstorm, he falls in love with her. I never got to read this when it originally came out in 2011, so I was so glad to see it out again. I loved this book! The Windham family is my favorite family Grace Burrowes writes about. It was nice to see the Windham men making an appearance. I received an ARC for my honest review.

I love grace burrows, I really do, and I devour her books as fast as they are released. I love this series, the characters, setting and writing are always superb. Therefore, I've no idea what happened with this novel. First off I was expecting a novella, probably because nearly every book released with the work Christmas in the title for this genre is just that, a novella. So obviously that threw me, then there was the beginning which felt forced and dragged like spending a day at the DMV. It was well written but theee was so much filler and visual non necessities that I was bored. Then there was a bay who for the life of me I anct figure out why they constantly referred to him as My Lord Baby. He was not a lord in the slightest and that was such a jarring statement made persistently that it threw off whatever cadence I was finally achieving through the quagmire of ridiculous over wording. Halfway through the novel it improved, it was as though the two pieces, beginning and end, were written separately and never fully joined. The two feeling as though written by different people. The second half was what I've come to love and expect from Ms, Burrows. That half left me with a good taste in my mouth so of course I will be back but to be honest I felt as though the beginning need some work, splicing, or a something as it does little to draw. You in and move you along.

Although this was originally published in 2011, Grace Burrows fans - and they are legion and they include this librarian -all of will want to do a second read of this delightful story.. Sophie and Vim are stranded together at Christmas time with an unexpected gift: a baby boy. As Sophie falls in love with the baby Sophie and Vim being to fall for each other. A cozy sensual read that I would enthusiastically recommend to patrons. Be sure to include this in your library’s holiday display.
