Nicolette & Bryant a story that you've wanted if you've been with this from the beginning. A story that captures you, takes you on a. journey you may not have expected. A story that completes the Westerley jigsaw, that final piece that allows you to say farewell, This series has been amazing on so many levels.

Enjoyable. Not the first book I have read by Ruth Cardello and won’t be my last. Like previous books the storyline and characters are interesting. I had not read previous books in this series so, yes it can be read as a stand alone.

An enchanting book - Nicolette Westerly has felt misplaced, lonely like she doesn't belong for some time and Bryant Taunton as felt that way at would time and feels compelled to help Nicolette the only problem their families are mortal enemies. I loved the give and take in this using wit and emotion.

Runaway Heir is so much better than I anticipated that it would be.  Ruth Cardello has written a phenomenal book.  If you buy any book this year, this is the book to buy. I love this series.

Runaway Heir is the final book in the Westerly Billionaire series by Ruth Cardello. I didn't get the impression that this is the final book since I felt like the author has left some ties loose and she could give us closure in a 6th and final book. There were hints for another story, but that didn't happen, unfortunately, not even as a secondary plot.

I wasn't a big fan of Nicole. I never truly understood where she was coming from and why she was acting the way she did. The main characters didn't have as much character development as the secondary did and that is weird and a shame. Nicole's grandmother had the biggest development and change of heart. Bryant was easier to like and more focused on the developing romance he had with Nicole. I didn't like that like a sailor he had a woman in every state he visited or the mention of them, but it wasn't that bad since he never did anything with another woman after he met Nicole.

A couple of things made the some of the male characters (one of them been Bryant) seem juvenile and I am not sure if it was added for comic relief or not, but I didn't appreciate it. The romance felt like a secondary plot that was sometimes forgotten and my overall impression of the book is that it was poorly written and not a proper ending to a series I enjoyed so much.

Another great story from Ruth Cardello. I loved this book because it had so many of the characteristics I love in a romance. There is love, laughter and just like everyone else family issues. I loved the resolution! As we head into summer this is a great summer read!

Ruthie – ☆☆☆☆☆
This is the fifth book in the series – and one which I have been looking forward to a lot. Finally, Nicolette gets her story. As the youngest Westerly, she has felt lost for a long time, and definitely deserves to find her place in the family. I would recommend that you read them in order, as we meet all the family and catch up with their stories too.

Nicolette has never accepted anything from anyone, and so she lives pretty much hand-to-mouth working as a photographer/go-fer on projects around the world. She does, however, attend her brother's wedding, and try and feel some happiness from those around her. But her lack of certainty about her place in the family makes for a difficult time. Then she sees Bryant across the room, and suddenly feels... something.

Bryant is really the good guy in this story – his thoughtfulness is something most of us can only dream of, but I loved how he develops his relationship with the very gun-shy Nicolette. He benefits from plenty of funds and running his own business, but he realises very quickly that the way to Nicolette's heart has nothing to do with his wealth or status (something that plenty of men fail to get!).

We get our usual interference from Delinda, although her royal fiancé is pretty effective at softening her attitude. Their exchanges cannot fail to raise a smile! In fact, as Nicolette changes her approach, we see the women's relationship improve and develop at last.

I have really enjoyed all these very different romances, and would recommend them to you as a whole, although each one has been fun in its own right too. They would make a great holiday read.

As with the rest of the series it had good character development and was a pleasant, “feel good” read. It held my interest enough that once I started it I didn’t put it down till the last page! Would definitely recommend.

Runaway Heir by Ruth Cardello is book 5 in the Westerly Billionaire Series. This is the story of Bryant and Ruth Cardello. I do feel this book can be a standalone book but some of the previous characters will be in this one.
Nicolette meets Bryant when she is at a wedding and she is smashed Bryant is the son of the Westerly's enemy but he has a mutual friend Alessandro. Nicolette and Bryant share a kiss that night but even though Bryant would have like to take things further he knew she wasn't in the condition to do so. Nicolette is at a loss of sorts trying to find her way around through the family. Bryant feels a connection of a loss sole.
I am such a fan of Ms. Cardello's writing so for me this was a great read. Loved it!

Runaway Heir is the first book I have read in the Westerly Series. This is book 5 and I didn't feel totally lost since I haven't read the other books and the characters are explained in the book. Nicolette Westerly feels lost and an outsider at her brother Eric's wedding. She feels like she doesn't truly belong because her has revealed that Nicolette's father might not be her father.
Bryant Taunton is not a friend of the Westerlys. His family has bad history with them and he gets invited to the wedding by a friend of Nicolette's grandmother. Bryant is intrigued by Nicolette and ends up taking care of her while she gets drunk. Soon after Nicolette leaves to Iowa to for a job and Bryant can't get her out of his mind that he follows her there.
This story had me laughing, cussing out Nicolette for her not speaking up on her issues but loved her at the same time. GREAT steamy scenes like WOW!

I loved this book and each one in this series. Nicolette isn’t happy and hates not knowing if Derick is her Dad. Should she take the paternity test? She’s afraid. Loved how she needed healing in a small town and that Bryant u derstood her. But wow, when he turns into an alpha, possessive, jealous guy, it’s completely HOT! Can she and her family Heal? Totally loved the ending and laughed in the epilogue. I highly recommend this book.

Nicolette is at a crossroads in her life as she is not sure where she belongs in her family or even if she belongs. She has returned home for her brother’s wedding and although she has had a few drinks too many she can’t deny her attraction to Bryant even if he is viewed as her family’s enemy.

When she receives a request to bring attention to a small town in Iowa and help them prosper her reasons for going is twofold as it will give her the space she needs and helping others in the process. The last thing she expected was for Bryant to follow her or that he may be the one person to help her heal and find her way back to her family.

Bryant is the perfect man for Nicolette as he is patient and understanding and it is only a matter of time before he not only convinces Nicolette that they belong together but her family as well. I have enjoyed this series and this book is no exception.

Nicolette is one of my favorite female leading characters. Her strength and desire to make her own way is admirable and inspiring. Bryant will sweep you off your feet during their long journey to discover more about not only each other, but themselves. I love revisiting the Westerly family and this book was another adventure into their crazy world. Loved it!

I have enjoyed this Westerly series, and this book was no exception. Nicolette is the youngest of the Westerly grandchildren, and is feeling very adrift. From there, the story takes somewhat of a flight of fancy, which is fine for a romance novel such as this. The story revolves around changes of attitudes and deciding what a “family” is. I loved the small town feel of the story and all the resolutions. Nicolette and Bryant were a cute couple. Thoroughly enjoyable read!

Runaway Heir is the fifth book in the Westerly Billionaires series but it is easily read standalone This is Nicolette's story and I really enjoyed it. Nicolette is a bit of a lost soul. She's the youngest of the dysfunctional Westerly clan and not at all sure of her place in the family. Bryant Taunton and his family have a very tenuous relationship with the Westerly's so being drawn to Nicolette will surely lead to trouble. Turns out it is the best kind of trouble there is!

This book is very well done with great characters, an easy pace, and an interesting storyline. Definitely a book I would recommend.

Have you read this series!? Well, you really should! I mean the Westerly's are chaos in the best way. The crazy family dynamics really make each character's story that much more endearing. Delinda is the meddling grandmother with a lot to learn about dealing with her grandchildren. She just wants what is best for them and she is a force to be reckoned with. I have loved seeing her evolution, and I actually liked her in this book, which was not always the case.

Nicolette is trying to cope with the questions around her parentage, but she is a HOT MESS. I really enjoyed the realness this brought to her character. She doesn't handle things well, and that makes her relatable. I was just so invested in her, and really loved all her growth throughout the story. Now, let's discuss the insta-love of this story. I mean do you need a new book boyfriend?! Because Bryant Taunton is delicious with a heart of gold. Between these two and the connections between characters, I couldn't put this book down! I'd definitely recommend it, as well as the rest of the series.

Special thank you to Montlake Romance and NetGalley for the eARC in exchange for an honest review!

This is a voluntary review of an advanced copy.

I have read most of the books in this series and enjoyed them all. I don't think it is necessary to read the previous books as this can be read as a stand alone. There was quite a book summary of previous books so that you don't feel lost with so many brothers and sisters.

I was glad that some of the problems among the family were laid to rest at the end and even Delinda was more human towards the end!

This was kind of a Romeo and Juliet type story as Bryant and Nicolette's familys had a history that caused them to really hate each other. Good thing a family friend kept throwing them together so they could see that they were perfect for each other.

Nicolette was even able to help a town in trouble and bring two people together. Parts were hilarious when Bryant tried to help Delinda figure out the way to talk to her granddaughter without sounding judgmental and the last part when Delinda forces Bryant's father to come to their wedding. Way too funny!

Ruth Cardello tells the most wonderful stories & this one was no different. In this story she shows how fear can change a life & the way you look at everything. She shows us that felling like an outsider in your own family can have devastating consequences both with words & in actions. Two secrets kept & the abandonment of a father have turned Nicolette’s life upside down as she fears that she’ll never know a normal life. A matchmaking friend of her family has decided that it’s time for the past to be forgiven & has sent Bryant ( the son of a family enemy) to Nicolette. She’s determined that her life will have some kind of meaning & the cry of a small town is just what she needs. What she doesn’t expect on this journey is to be joined by Bryant & to fall in love. Bryant works behind the scenes to help reunite Nicolette with her family & also finds his heart & his future. Loved all the small town characters, especially little Tera she was such a hoot with her outspoken over the top personality, she added so much humour that I was laughing out loud. Definitely recommend.
