If you want angst and the push and pull of emotions, then this book is for you. And let's not forget about the scandalous questions that have rocked the small town in Indiana. The combination of all that made this book a page turner.
I really enjoyed the college (New Adult) setting-- I felt the characters were true to their age without being overly whiny or eye-roll worthy. Arrow and Mia had amazing chemistry that went beyond the physical and I enjoyed the inter-relationships between the other characters like Bailey, Brogan, Chris and Mason.
The twist at the end made for some eyes wide, heart clutching moments.
Spinning Out is definitely a worthwhile read. I can't wait to dive into the rest of the series.
D 4/5

This book was so so good. I'm a huge sports romance kinda girl. Im also a fan of this author. Great story line.

This a story about two characters that have grown up together but really don't see each other's flaws. Then a life-changing event happens and they both take a different role in dealing with it. I really don't like when the story is told by one person's view and then the other. It drags the story out and it becomes longer then it needs to be.

Spinning Out is the first in a series by Lexi Ryan. I have been a fan of Ryan’s for some time. While the premise for this story was good, it was disjointed to me. You didn’t really get what was going on for quite some time and that caused the flow of the story to be choppy. Now, onto the story. Mia and Arrow have a hot and cold relationship. Why you ask? Well, there‘s lots to the story that there just isn’t enough room to explore in a short review. Needless to say that are attracted, but don’t act on it, then something happens and Arrow’s life spins out of control. Come to find out there are outside forces that contribute to that as well, but we don’t find out about that until much later. The question is, will Arrow and Mia have their happily ever after? Only time will tell and you will have to read the book to find out! I am hoping that the next story in the series will be a little more cohesive than this one was.
Thanks to netgalley and the publisher for an opportunity to read and give an honest review of this book.

this was your average sports romance. I enjoyed it but it was really middle of the road for me as I read so many of them so often.

Spinning out has been out for a while and I have enjoyed Lexi Ryan’s writing in the past... I was given a shot by Negalley to read this one and let me tell you I’m disappointed in myself for waiting so long. This book is about two people who have growing up. Up, secrets, betrayals, deceptions, poor life choices, sacrifices, and pretty much dying when they lose their best friend and boyfriend Brogan.

For Mia it’s more than losing her boyfriend she’s lost her brother too. Sure Brogan maybe alive but the issues of what happened that New Years Eve makes it difficult for everyone.

Arrow is a man who is good at football and getting what he wants. For the first time though he can’t and He’s made great strides in being Mia’s friend. His life has spiraled out of control and now living with Mia under his fathers roof is going to twist their lives upside down something fierce.

This book has great side characters, twists, turns, loss, love, and oh shit moments, oh and not gonna lie I cried some tears too! Loved this one so much I went and bought the next four books. Have to know what happens with Mason, Sebastian, and Chris.

Oh man, where do I start? Spinning Out has all the sexiness, love, grief, loss, and a heart wrenching yet happily ever after read!
My heart is full yet still aching!

Mia is just a small town girl from the other side of the tracks. She has her goals set on getting through college, and keeping her dad and brother out of trouble. She’s got the biggest heart and loves with all of it until one night changes everything she’s ever known.

Arrow, which by the way, I am in 💗 with his name is a sexy football player trying to make it to the pros after college. He’s wealthy and popular but doesn’t take that for granted.

“I didn’t expect happily-ever-after. Cinderella is a fairytale, and this is real life. But even though I didn’t expect him to be Prince Charming to my Cinderella, I expected him to be the friend he’d become. The friend I needed when my world was at its darkest.”

As their world collides it also plummets and they have to learn forgiveness before they can truly love.

“For a long time I thought you were gravity. Always there. Always pulling me your way. But that can’t be it either, because you don’t pull me down. You lift me up when there’s no reason I should be able to stand.”

I enjoyed this book. I loved the plot but some parts where a little to winded for me. I caught myself skipping a lot of the parts. But overall a good book. The characters were pretty deep and you could feel the angst throughout the book. Finally finding out the truth and seeing them get their happily ever after was very heartwarming.

A well written story that was shocking intense which I was not excepting at all. A great way to start a series.

A tough journey both characters took as one night tragically changed the trajectory of their life. An unfortunate situation that causes pain as Arrow’s life spins out of control.

Wow. This was an angsty, drama filled messy story. Not every love story is easy or sweet. Just like life, they are often messy and full of drama.
If you don’t like a lot of drama or characters that are flawed, who make huge mistakes, then this is not the book for you.
Mia and Arrow had a spark from the start. But his best friend brogan met her first and was interested. So Arrow backed off. A little bit. A year later a series of bad decisions leave ones sinking dead, one in a PVS, and a lot of drama spilling over everywhere.
I liked the characters and how their story unfolded, although a few people seemed like convenient additions to move to story along (Sebastian). None of these young adults were perfect. They made some really awful decisions but they do eventually step up and sort it out. (less)

Spinning Out
By: Lexi Ryan

📚💕⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💕📚

Well let me start by saying I have become a huge fan of this author. She writes with so much intensity and emotion pulled from each book it’s felt page after page. Some are quick witted story lines that are so perfect and lets you believe you have a front row seat. So being able to read this love story didn’t disappoint. The authors ability to have two separate individuals struggling in their everyday life and try to navigate someone else’s thoughts, needs and desires was intense and gives all the fills

Authors Blurb: Once, the only thing that mattered to me was football—training, playing, and earning my place on the best team at every level. I had it all, and I threw it away with a semester of drugs, alcohol, and pissing off anyone who tried to stop me. Now I’m suspended from the team, on house arrest, and forced to spend six months at home to get my shit together. The cherry on top of my fuckup sundae? Sleeping in the room next to mine is my best friend’s girl, Mia Mendez—the only woman I’ve ever loved and a reminder of everything I regret.

I’m not sure if having Mia so close will be heaven or hell. She’s off-limits—and not just because she’s working for my dad. Her heart belongs to someone else. But since the accident that killed her brother and changed everything, she walks around like a zombie, shutting out her friends and ignoring her dreams. We’re both broken, numb, and stuck in limbo.

Until I break my own rules and touch her.
Until she saves me from my nightmares by climbing into my bed.
Until the only thing I want more than having Mia for myself is to protect her from the truth.

I can’t rewrite the past, but I refuse to leave her heart in the hands of fate. For this girl, I’d climb into the sky and rearrange the stars.

I really enjoyed this book and it kept me engrossed throughout. I really loved the characters and the way they interacted with each other. This is a fun, hot, romantic must read book and I would definitely recommend this book to anyone.

This book has everything I love in a book. Then you add that it's beautifully written and believable. It is easily a five star read. Written in dual POV my personal favorite this story flows so incredibly well that the next thing you know your 80% into the book and loving every second of it. The believable way the characters interact is perfect. Run, Hop, Jump or use your (1 click) finger to do whatever you have to do and get this amazing book. It'll break your heart, you'll want to scream with frustration and it'll let you discover that love just might conquer all. The chemistry is steamy and sweet and oh so romantic.

Thanks Netgally for letting me read and review.📚💕

I think this book was delivered in the wrong way. I really liked the mystery aspect, I liked the grief representation and the drama. BUT I didn't like Mia: I hated her playing with two boys, I hated how she didn't know her mind and how she behaved with others. Overall I think I enjoyed it enough, but I think it's not surviving the years going by from its publication.

Thank you NetGalley for the opportunity to review this ARC......

Spinning Out by Lexi Ryan is a romance novel that has a mystery interweaved in it. The story is told by different POV. The characters are very likable and well developed,
This is book 1 in the Blackhawk Boys. This is a good start to a new series.

Arrow has thrown away his football career and Mia is emotionally detached and hardy living. They both are drawn to each but they are broken and dealing with the events that happened on New Years Eve. They still don’t know the full details from that night and the book balances between present day events and the past which had me hooked trying to figure out what really happened to cause so much. I thought the story was very well written. By the end I felt like I really understood all the characters, their flaws and sympathized with them over their mistakes. I will definitely be reading more books by this author.

Definitely 5*

This is a story that grabbed me from the very beginning and never let up. Angst, tears, heartbreak, betrayal, lies and love made this book a five star read. It was so well written that you felt a part of the story of Mia and Arrow that had so many surprises and twists and turns.

I'm hooked and can't wait to grab the next book in this series. If Spinning Out is any indication of the caliber of this series then I know I'm in for another outstanding book

I have to say this is one of those books that will have you wishing it would never end, but then again you just can't wait to get to the end to see if everything turns out the way you want it to. I felt so many emotions while reading this one. My heart just broke for Arrow and Mia over and over again. The emotional turmoil these two went through was hard to read. This is definitley a must read and I can't wait to start the next book.
